Happy Birthday

My Mother-in-law's birthday is next weekend and they are giving her a birthday and so I decided to do a hinged card for her. I knew I wanted to use this stamp set by stampin-up,Party Hearty, and I also wanted to use the DSP, Thoroughly Modern. I am also doing a "Hinged card" for a workshop on the 15th of this month and decided to do the same for this card. As I was putting it together, I incorporated the sketch I had seen this afternoon, Sweet Sunday Sketch into the lower half of the card. I really like the look of the card and was really pleased with the finished results.

Just in case you are uncertain of what a hinged card is, I took a side view of the card. It is like a 4-1/4" square card with a top on it. I found the technique here on splitcoast. A wonderful way to make a different card. If you click on the card, you will get a bigger image and it will show the sparkle off a little more.

Items not named above by Stampin' Up! is:

Card Stock is Rose Red, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Markers: Rose Red, Bermuda Bay
Ribbon: 1/4" grosgrain Rose Red

Non Stampin' Up! is Stickles for the glitter.
