Gift Card Holder

How cute is this little gift card holder and I threw it together in less than 30 minutes.  Since this weeks challenge for late night stampers is to make a gift card, I thought I would try one from scratch and see how it worked out.  I actually started with the inside to see how big it needed to be with a gift card inside and then went from there to get all the dimensions right.  Also this little girl just makes the card.  I am loving this little set.

Now to tell you how I did it.
I cut the paper on the inside 1/4" bigger than the gift card, which was cut at 3-3/4 X 2-1/2.  Then using a punch, I punched the corners of opposite sides to insert the gift card into.  Once I had this part complete, I knew what the outside of the card would have to be cut at.  So, I cut a piece of real red card stock 8-1/2 X 3 and then scored at 4-1/4 and folded on the score line.  I then adhered the inside to the card.  I cut a piece of 1/4 grosgrain whisper white ribbon that went all the way around the red card stock and then big enough to tie a bow and adhered to the red card stock.    I then cut a piece of the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty paper at 4-1/8 X 2-7/8 and adhered over the top of the red card stock and the ribbon.  Stamped an image of the Greeting Card Kids stamp on Natural White Card Stock in the chocolate chip classic ink, colored image with markers, adhered this to a piece of real red card stock and using stampin' dimensionals attached to the card as you see in photo.  That is all there is to it.  EASY!!!!!

Thanks so much for looking and please let me know if you try one.  I would love to take a look at it.  Have a blessed evening.
