ARRRRR Nathan is one!

Yesterday my grandson turned 1, today we had his birthday party and I thought I would show you the cute little card I made for him.  It is kind of like a hybrid card because I used my digital studio for the two sentiments and the pirate is a free digital I found searching the Internet!  The theme of his party was "pirates" because I bought all the invitations and banners from the clearance rack from Stampin' Up!  Every thing turned out so cute.  But now on to the card I made my dear grandson!

So what do you think?  The little treasure chest and coins are from some stickers I bought last weekend.  I just decided to use at the last minute.

Here is a closeup!

The background paper is also from my digital studio, the Nautical Collection and I just took it and printed it out and then crinkled it up and adhered it to the card base!

Here is a side view to show you the dimension of the card.

And now for a picture of our little pirate!

And with his Grammy!

He just loves his Grammy and as you can see Grammy just loves him!

Thanks for looking and hope you all have a wonderful evening!

Copy That Scrapbook Challenge

OK everyone it is time for the "Copy That" Scrapbook challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts where we again will get some inspiration from the advertisement gurus.

The ad above, captured my attention and I hope it will capture yours. Let this advertisement inspire you, whether you are inspired by the sketch design, the colors, or any of the elements or shapes, use the ad to scrap your own layout. Please tell us how you were inspired when you post your layout.  You can post your layout at the bottom of our Copy that Challenge over at our Christian Paper Crafts Blog.

I was inspired by the layout and the shapes that were used and most of all with the placement of the title in the ad. And, I wanted something that would bring one day of disney into focus for my little Grandson and the advertisement for CT11 seemed to do just that. So I hope you will let this ad inspire you as I did! Also, today is my Grandson's birthday and I am so excited to be able to post this on his birthday!

Can't wait to see how you use this advertisement in a layout of your own. It is all about enjoying what you do, so get that paper out, or get your computer out for the digital page and have some fun! You will be glad you did!

Please use the keyword CT11 when uploading your layouts to the Christian Paper Crafts gallery or CPC-CT11 when posting to another gallery.  Also if you would like to join in on this, you can play by linking your layout to the bottom of the Copy That post on our Creative Blog and don't forget you have a month to do play!

Last night I decided to work on a couple of challenges and both seem to come together in this one card.  I just love the outcome and the flower turned out great also.

First of all the challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs was to do piercing!  So as you can see I did the piercing around the scripture verse.  The second challenge was to case one of our Christian Paper Crafts Members and I decided to case Sabrina Jackson who is also one of the Design Team Members at ODBD Blog!  So you know just how great her cards really are!  You can find the card I cased on her blog here!

Here is a close up of the scripture!

Ain't Love Grand

Our challenge this week for SULateNightStampers is to go "All White" with your project!  So I decided to continue on with the challenge from last week and use my new stuff!  So I used the new stamp set I have "Ain't Love Grand" which is a hostess stamp set.  And, this is just one of six different stamps and all of them just as cute as the first!  As you can see, I made the little rosettes again and placed around the top of the image on this card.  For a great tutorial on how to make them, go here!  I know it has been a while since I shared this tutorial!

Here is a close up!

Are they not the cutest flowers.  But the image is really the cutest!  Now on to a side view of this card!

Do you notice all the sparkle on the card!  I used the Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alchohol and sprayed on to give it the shimmer!  Really looks wonderful in person.  Now I can't wait for someone to tie the knot so I can give this to them. lol

Blessings From Heaven

Wow, I did not know how much I would like this paper until I put it with this new stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It was just the perfect touch for this sentiment and also with the added hand made roses.  The paper is called Timeless Portrait and even the other sides are wonderful!

The card was actually inspired by this weeks Stamping 411 sketch.  This sketch was just what I needed to use this new stamp set.

Here is the inside of the card with a Bible verse from this same stamp set called Blessings From Heaven.

For the inside I also used another stamp set to decorate the bottom called printed petals.  Just added a little more decoration.

Now here is a close up of the outside!

The little roses are made by punching out a circle and then cutting a spiral from the circle and rolling it up.  I just love them and they added just the right touch to this card.

I will be back later to add the items used for this card.  Going out of town for the day with my daughter.  Every one have a great day!

OK, I am back to add the items!
All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: Blessings from Heaven (new)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Island Indigo (new)(inside), Cherry Cobbler (inside)
Designer Series Paper: Timeless Portrait (new)

Embellishments: Extra Large Oval, Spiral Flowers made from card stock that was punched with the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, cut spiraled and then rolled.

Enjoy the rest of your day and let me know what you think!

CPC Retro & Vintage Blog Hop

Good Morning everyone!  I am excited about our Christian Paper Craft's Blog Hop today.  I really don't think I do a lot of Retro, but Vintage I can get into a little.  But today we would like for you to join us at our Retro & Vintage Blog Hop!  For more details, you can see our blog hop details here!

For my card today, I found this cute digital image on line at a web site call "Free Pretty Things for You."  Isn't it just the cutest image?

What I did to make this card was to take some Whisper White card stock and then I punched out 1 1/4" squares of Pretty in Pink card stock.  I then lined them up on the white to make like a checker board and adhered that to a piece of tempting turquoise card stock, wrapped the 1/4" grosgrain ribbon around and tied a bow and adhered the image to black and then to the turquoise.  All of this adhered to the base of the card.  The image was already colored so no coloring.  That can be a good thing!  Then I wanted a sentiment so I pulled out a new set I just got from the summer mini, and a hostess level gift at that, called Swirls & Curls Verses.  Such a fun stamp set.

Here is another view!

Hope you will join in on our blog hop today and tomorrow.  Again, for directions and what you can win, please see this post!

Items used on this card:
Stampin' Up! Items
Stamp Set: Swirls & Curls Verses (hostess)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Tempting turquoise, Pretty In Pink, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black
Embellishments: 1/4" Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, 1 1/4" square punch,

Fun on Friday Question/Moved my Craft space

Hello everyone!

If you have come by for our normal Fun on Friday for Christian Paper Crafts, we are taking a break for the Summer in some respects.  We are still doing challenges every week, but not a challenge everyday as we have been doing.  Just low on participation due to vacations etc.  So Fun On Friday should be back the first week of August.  We still will have two challenges a week and you can check it out on the Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog!  Also you know that I was co-hosting the Fun on Friday Challenge and now they have asked me if I would like to take the Color Monday Challenge, so I may come back with that instead.  But, if you would like for me to continue the Fun on Friday Challenge here on my own, just let me know and I will be glad to pick it back up!  Just need to know if my followers were enjoying it and it is something they would like to see continued!

So since I do not have a challenge today, I thought I would share my clean up and move of my craft area.  It was so spread out that every time I needed something I had to get up and walk to get it.  Then instead of putting it back, I would wait until there was no room left on my table and it was so frustrating.  So I moved everything to one side of the room last weekend and now I am enjoying a clean table to work from.  So here are some pictures!

This is a look at most of the craft space just to give you an idea of how it is put together.  Still have one more cabinet coming to put all the stamps that are not current.

Here is my space for my punches!  As you can see I have punched the shape of each one on the front so I know where to look for each punch.

This is where my paper is stored along with most of my embellishments.

This is where most of my current stash of stamps are stored along with items I need occasionally!

This is a closer overview of my stamping area!

I still have some wall things to move to another area.  This was my husband "I am proud of you" wall from when he retired from the Air Force, so now I have to find another wall to hang his things.  And, can't wait for that other cabinet to be put in place.  It will really help with the clean up of the other side of the room. lol  You only saw the clean part!

Thanks for looking and don't forget to let me know your feelings on FUN ON FRIDAY!!!!!

Imagine the possibilities #2!

I love this sentiment which is from the stamp set "Word Play" and it really can go with so many different events.  A couple of days ago I posted a card with the same sentiment but it was more of a feminine card and I wanted a masculine card with this sentiment.  So this is what I came up with.  I made a computer generated verse to go on the inside just as I did the one prior to this from Mark 10:27 which says, "And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible."  I just love that verse and it goes so well with the sentiment.

Here is a side view of this card!

And now for a close up!

Love both of these stamp sets.

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Uncharted Territory, Word Play
Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, So Saffron
Designer Series Paper: Nautical Expedition
Classic Ink: Not Quite Navy

Thanks for looking and hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Imagine the possibilities!

Here I am again using the embedded embossed technique!  I am just loving that technique and it is so easy!  Today's challenge for the SULateNightStamper's group is an inspiration challenge.  Usually with inspirational challenges, I will try and make my own background paper and the same with this.  Hopefully I got pretty close to the inspiration photo!

I tried to incorporate all the colors into my card!

How do you think I did?

Here is another side view of the card!

And, a close up!

On the inside of the card, I put the verse from Matthew "All things are possible with God" generated in Word document.  I just thought that went so well with this sentiment.

Following Items are Stampin' Up!

CPC Sneak Peak at Vintage/Retro DTD

Today starts our sneak peaks for this month Design Team Gallery over at Christian Paper Crafts.  The gallery will open on July 15th.  To see more sneak peaks you can head over to our Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog and they will have a couple each day from now until July 15th.

So I am starting my sneak peak off with a card that is kind of plain!  And I will show you how to take it up a notch!

This is actually the 12 X 12 Designer paper Timeless Portrait by Stampin' Up! and I just cut it at this angle to just bring the girl in and then adhered it to basic black card stock.  I then added a verse from Sweet n Sassy stamp set called Refuge!  I liked it and almost left as it and then I thought it just needs a little more color!  So here is what I decided to do after putting ribbon up to it and then these cute flowers that I make from a circle and then cut them in a spiral and roll.

Now did that not just add the right amount of color to just make this card pop!  You can go plain or your can take it up a notch.  Whichever you like best!

Here is a close up!

And, here is a side view of the card!

So I hope you like my Design Team Delights Sneak Peak for this month.  You may want to check our gallery out on the 15th at Christian Paper Crafts.  And, as I said you are more than welcome to check out the sneak peaks starting today on the creative blog!

Thanks for looking and hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Fun on Friday Challenge - Stamped Acrylic Block background

Today I am hosting the Fun on Friday at Christian Paper Crafts.  Following is my post!

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

Today's Fun On Friday Challenge is to make a card, scrapbook page, altered item what ever you would like, but use an acrylick block or wood block to stamp a background image. If you are unsure of how to do this, here is a tutorial that may help you get started.

Now as you work on this project and you transform that stamp blocked background into a beautiful card or scrapbook page, think about how we are not to conform to this world, but how we can be transformed by the renewing of our mind as we daily look into God's Word.

Here is what I came up with!

Isn't this so clean and simple!  It is a one layer card and by stamping the focal of the background with the size E block from stampin up, it gave it a layered look.

Here is a side view!

I also decorated the inside because I did make this card specific for someone!

So now it is your turn!  Get busy and let your imagination soar. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

When uploading to our galleries at Christian Paper Crafts, please use keyword FOF113 (no commas) and when uploading to other online galleries or your blog, please use keyword CPC-FOF113.

Also don't forget to link your project to the bottom of the Fun on Friday Post at our Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog!

Welcome Baby - Pennant Punch!

Happy Tuesday Morning to all my friends out there!  Hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful 4th of July!  Well, I was able to get a little work done this weekend and am excited about this wonderful Baby Card and the Designer Paper that has the alphabets on one side that I used for the "baby" part on the card!  The bottom DSP is also the backside of the paper.  So it worked out great for this baby card!  I have a friend who just had a baby and I am excited about sending this card out!  It is always nice to have someone in mind for a card when you make it.

What really inspired the card other than my friend having a baby, was this week at SULateNightStampers, where our challenge is New Beginnings!  I would definitely say a baby is a new beginning!  If you have time join us this week!

Here is a side view of the card!
