Everyday Enchantments

Today's stamping 411 sketch was very simple and I was very glad as I really need to start cleaning up my craft room and some other rooms around my house.  I actually thought about a couple of other ideas, but since today is the last day of sale-a-bration, I thought I would use the Everyday Enchantments Designer Paper along with the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set.  I actually added one more stamp from the Cute by the Inch stamp set that is retired.  But it actually gave me the sentiment for this card!  I knew I kept that stamp set for a reason and now I know why!

Here is a side view!

And of course the inside!

Sneak Peak, Petite Purse Bigz L Die

My oh my, how time flies.  I have had this new die for about 3 weeks and just got a chance to use it last night and I already have big plans for it.  It is all coming April 1st for a special limited-time offer and called the Summer Smooches Collection.  It is just a preview of what we can expect in our 2012-2013 catalog coming June 1st, one month early this year.  Now on to the cute little Petite Purses!

How cute are these little beauties?  It took me about 10 minutes to do both and all I did was run the die through the bigshot, fold it into place and adhere with the two way glue pen, ad this sweet little rosette that I had left over from another mini and it is done.  You can't help but love it!

Here is a side view!

It is perfect for any little candies (especially for Easter), or if you have earrings, bracelet, or necklace you would like to give someone, it would be the perfect wrapping!

Items Used are all Stampin' Up!

Hymn & Scripture Challenge # 7, The Love of God

Good Thursday Morning to you all!  I finally finished my scripture, hymn page last night and really love what came out of it.  I used some of my new kits that I had just got in the last two weeks and boy can you do a lot with them.  But not only that, what a great and wonderful song, "The Love of God."  You really have to listen to MercyMe sing this beautiful song!

The verse I chose is one to me that really says it all about the love of our God and the love of His Son, Jesus for all of us.  And the reason it means so much to me is because even when I rejected Jesus early on in my life, He did not reject me, but continued to love me in my sin.  He did not love my sin, but He did love me.  How awesome is that?  Can you say that about anyone else?  No, there is no one like our Lord!  "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),"  Ephesians 2:4-5.

And here is my page!

You really need to go and check out Patter's post and her beautiful page.  It is truly a great post and you can find it here.  I will also be linking this to to Little Birdie Blessings Scripture Thursday.

SULateNightStampers Challenge/Texture

Our challenge this week at SULateNightStampers is to add texture to your project by adding textured embossing folders, plates or just embossing.  So here is what I came up with!

So you can see I used an embossing folder and also the beautiful wings embosslits die for the challenge. I decided to do some paper piercing which also gives a little texture to help separate the different elements which was inspired by Unscripted Sketches sketch this week.  I thought it was an awesome sketch and definitely wanted to try it.  It seemed to just pull everything together.

Here is a side view of this card!

Faux Silk Technique

Good Morning all, The card today was inspired by the Faux Silk Technique over at Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.  You can find a wonderful tutorial there also and can find here.  I have done this technique before, but bought this stamp set quite a while ago and just wanted to use it.  I knew it would be worth when I finally found the perfect technique of sketch.  Well I used this sketch from Card Patterns and it just worked out wonderfully!  Now here is the card!

This stamp is called Children of God.  The actual sentiment says Blessings to you and your new baby, but I wanted to use it for a friend of mine.  So I used a marker and colored the stamp to say what you see above!  How cool is that?

Here is a side view of the card!

And of course the inside where I used one of the verses that come with the stamp!

I just love this verse.  How great indeed is the Love that our Father has for us and if we have received Him as Lord and Savior, we are His children!  Also linking this to the Little Birdie Blessings Scripture Thursday Link up!

Clean & Simple/Big Top Birthday

There are times I just can't figure out what to do with certain papers, but looking through my stash yesterday and after seeing the sketch from Clean & Simple, I decided this was the perfect paper for this sketch.  So I just used a one of my punches, and my bigshot and dies and this is what came out of it.  The clown is punched out from the paper and also the ball.  I took the stamp from teeny tiny wishes and colored the happy with a marker, stamped it and then colored the birthday and stamped it.  It is not perfect, but it works.

Here is a side view!

And of course I used a couple more stamps for the inside!

I used the sale-a-bration stamp Outlined Occasions and then the stamp from Create a Cupcake to finish it off!  Perfect card for a child or for an adult!

Stamping 411 sketch challenge/Masculine

Good Saturday Morning dear friends!  I am enjoying this wonderful spring weather we have been having here in NC.  We are suppose to have some heavy rain today with thunderstorms so guess I will be inside most of today!  And, if it don't rain (doubtful) I will be working outside some and then soccer games.  Fun, Fun!

Stamping 411 got me going last night with their new sketch for today!  I was trying hard to decide and while going through my stamps, I wanted to use this stamp set called Uncharted Territories by Stampin' Up!  Had not used it in a while.  Then I went through my papers and this paper jumped right out at me.  It is called "Well Worn" and also Stampin' Up!  I actually bought it just for masculine cards and I am so happy with the turn out of this one.  I even used the rest of the stamp set inside which I will show you in a moment.  The sentiment on this one actually came from another SU set called "Happiest Birthday Wishes" and had "dear one" underneath and I only used the first part of it and inked it using my markers.  Another reason I love my markers.

Here is a side view!

And of course as promised, the inside!

Faith, Hope, & Love

Well I am a little out of order, as I was going to share with you a couple of other pages prior to this, but I thought I would go ahead and show this page as I used the verse from Word Art Wednesday.  Every Wednesday they give you a new Word art to use on your project and I just love the look of this one and decided to add it to this page.  What a great scripture for a wedding page!  I am also linking this to Little Birdie Blessings Scripture Thursday this week.

I am really enjoying working on this scrapbook and now I have to go back 10 years and do one for my other daughter who is having her 10th anniversary in August!  I may and probably will have to give her an IOU! lol  Was not scrap booking then and did not even think of doing her one!

Thanks for looking and hope your day is blessed by God!

SULateNightStampers Challenge/Clean & Simple

Today SULateNightStampers challenge is an inspiration challenge.  We are to let this photo inspire a project or card.

So, since I have two girls in our church that is having babies and I know I will need a baby card, I decided to let it inspire me with the colors and to do a baby card.  What also inspired the card below is this weeks sketch over at the Clean&Simple blog.

Now this is actually a hybrid card with the alphabet and boat, car, fish, & tractor coming from my digital studio.  This is what I printed out on a 8 1/2 X 11 piece of Whisper White card stock from my digital studio!  I then took the postage stamp punch and punched them out.  My computer prints so close to the colors of the SU Paper that you can not tell the difference.  Also, I have the whole top of the paper left over to use on other cards.  Looks like a break in the photo and the line here, but that is because the background of the paper and this background is the same.

Now here is a side view of the card!

And of course I had to do the inside to match the outside!

Hope this has inspired you to play along this week with us at SULateNightStampers.

Items used are all Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: God's Blessings (inside), Teeny Tiny Wishes (outside sentiment)

Love & Sympathy

Saturday at our all day stamp crop, I had only taken certain papers and when I saw this sketch on Sketch Frenzy Friday, I thought I want to use this Designer Paper.  It took me a little while to get it all situated, but finally I decided the pieces and sides I would use and I am so happy with the outcome.  I struggled with putting the sentiment on the same paper or adding it with a circle punch and decided to put the sentiment on the paper since I had the room.

Here is a side view of the card!

I love the DSP and love the colors, but there are times I struggle with large flowery prints.  I am so glad that I just went with it this time.

Items Used are all Stampin' Up!

Do not be Anxious!

This weeks challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs blog is to use Aqua or Topaz (blue) on your creation.  So this is what I came up with.  I had been wanting to use these cute little flowers that I punch out using the cirlce punches and then spiral cut them and rolled them to form the flower.  They are really so easy to do and I had the blue ones made, but decided to add the yellow at the last minute.  I am also going to use this for the scripture Thursday Linky party over at Little Birdie Blessings!

I also decided to use this verse as it is one of my favorite and a verse I stand on each and every day.  I use to be very anxious, but after repeating this verse each time I woke up at night with that worried feeling and then praying that God would take that anxiety away, I can now say that I sleep through the night with no anxiety.  And, if I do wake up it is usually just my age talking to me with those awful flashes! lol  But I am thankful that I serve a God who can give you peace.  I praise Him daily for the peace I have through Him.

Here is a side view of the card!

And a close up of the verse and flowers!

This is not my norm on a card, but there are times I just have the urge to move from the clean and simple.  I think I did ok without over doing it.

Items used are:

Stamp Set: ODBD Scripture Collection 4
Card Stock: (all SU) Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, Daffodil Delight

More Wedding Pages

The photographer who did Erin's wedding had a helper and while she was at the house with us getting ready and while we were driving to the wedding, her husband was at the beach taking photos of the men and the guest arriving.  As you can see they are all talking and standing around waiting on the bride.

One of my favorite photos is the photo on the next page of Scott (the bride-groom) talking with my brother Joe who has down syndrome.  I just think this is so special.

I am still trying to finish up this album and even after I finish, I am sure I will have a lot more to share with you.  I have had these pages done for quite a while am just getting to share with you.

All pages were made using My Digital Studio!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thursday!

The Sweet Stop Sketch/Digi Challenge

Good Morning dear friends.  This card was inspired by two challenges this week. One the Sweet Stop sketch challenge and the other, Sweet N Sassy Digi challenge blog which of course was to use a Digital image but also to use the colors blue, yellow and brown.  And I did accomplish what I wanted to by using this sweet little bird house digital image from Sweet n Sassy!  I was very happy with the outcome and even spritzed some Gold Glow Smooch Spritz on the finished product.  You can see it better if you click on it to make a bigger image.

Here is a side view of the card!

You may see a little more of the glow in this photo as it was picking up more of the light.

And for the inside, I used one of the scripture sets from Sweet n Sassy called "our refuge" and I just thought it brought the feeling of the outside into the inside of the card!

Items Used:
Sweet n Sassy - Our Refuge clear Stamp Set, Birdhouse Digital Stamp

Hymn & Scripture Challenge # 6 - Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us

Wow it is that time again for another Hymn and Scripture Challenge, and I was quick this time.  I just knew what I wanted to do once I saw the song and went to work last night and got it done.  What a wonderful song this is and such a blessing to us who are in the "fold" of God!  He is our Shepherd.

Here is a version of the song that I think you will like!  Patter has another one on her blog which is also very beautiful.  You may want to stop by and see her wonderful post and listen to the version she chose.

When I was doing my page I actually had another scripture picked out which was John 10:14, "I am the Good Shepherd; I know My sheep, and My sheep know Me."  That is so true, but then I remembered the verse that I chose in Revelations and thought that it went so well with the digital image that I also found on line with God holding His sheep and comforting Him.  I can say that when I need comfort, God is right there to give it to me.  I praise Him for that everyday!

My page is very simple but relays, I believe, how I feel about my Jesus!  Here is a closer view of the image and the verse!

I used My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up! for my page today!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a very blessed!

SULateNightStampers Challenge/Stamping 411

Good Monday morning all and hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Another time change here and I am definitely feeling it.  But I do know that I will be enjoying the extended day light hour this evening.

Our SULateNightStampers Challenge this week is to share those "Easter Projects."  What better way to get started on those Easter cards you would like to send.  So I let the Stamping 411 Sketch challenge this week help me along with this challenge.  I enjoy their sketches so much and lately they have really been putting some awesome sketches out.  So here is the card I created this week for both challenges!

As you can see I did some coloring using the SU markers on this one.  For the flowers I first used the So Saffron, then came back with the Daffodil Delight and last used the Pumpkin Pie marker.  For the leaves, I stamped the whole image in Lucky Limeade, then came in with the Certainly Celery and lastly used the Old Olive marker.  What do you think, do you like the outcome?

Here is a close up of the middle of the card!

And of course I did the inside with the same stamp set!

Actually I used everyone of the stamps from the stamp set "He is Risen."  I am loving this stamp set.

Items used are all Stampin' Up!

Stamp Set: He is Risen
Card Stock: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Whisper White
Classic Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade

Striped textured embossing folder

Hybrid Card/Stampin Queen's Sketch

Well this has been a busy weekend and I am just getting to post two cards I made for the Stampin Queen's Sketch Challenge this week.  They are actually hybrid cards and I made two fronts and printed them both on the same whisper white card stock so that saved me some paper.  This is the first card I am sharing with you.  I used the sweet shop embellishments to do both cards!  This one using the Chocolate covered strawberries.  By using My Digital Studio I could make the strawberries the size I wanted and add as many as I want.  How great is that?  The greeting came from the digital stamp set "So Happy for You."

Here is a side view of the card!

Now here is the birthday card that I used the cupcakes from the Sweet Shop elements and the digital stamp set "A Word for You."  I really like this even better than the first.

And a side view of this one!

Well hope you enjoyed your stop by here today!  Please let me know what you think of my Hybrid cards!
