Changing Ribbon Color

Good Morning everyone!  This card was inspired by this weeks Clean and Simple Sketch.  I had received my new Fan Fair Paper and of course the three images you see in the center are just punched out, adhered to a piece of very vanilla card stock and then using an embossing folder, I embedded the images into the card.  My taffeta ribbon did not come in the color I wanted and I was going to use the very vanilla and then I thought, why not use my sponge dauber to make it the color I want it.  So that is what I did and it turned out beautifully.  Another challenge I decided to do this week is the SUO challenge where we are to make a thank you card.  So I added the thank you and then decided to use the card for a friend who helped me out this past Sunday while I was out of town and taught my ladies Sunday School class.  How great is that.  I put a verse on the inside that I thought was so fitting for the card.  And because I used the embedded embossing technique, it also fits our challenge this week at SULateNightStampers.  I was on a roll with this card.

Here is a side view of the card!

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: Just Believe
Card Stock: Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Fan Fair
Ink: Primrose Petals, Island Indigo
Embossing Folder: Fancy Fan
Ribbon: Very Vanilla 1/8 taffeta ribbon (use a sponge dauber and Island Indigo Ink to change the color)

Thanks for looking today and hope your day is filled with many blessings.

That looks fantastic, Jonia! "On a roll", huh? lol That's so funny! I don't know why it made me start singing "and the wheels of the bus go 'round and 'round..." haha Now that will be in my head ALL day! *groan* Great coloring on the ribbon. It looks like it came that way! Have a very happy day, my friend! :o)

Oh no... not the "wheels on the bus..." (tee-hee) that is one of those stay on the brain songs!!
Your card looks fantastic and look at all the challenges it met! I like how you lightly sponged the edges to match the ribbon. You rock!!
God bless! (and thanks for all your sweet comments)
