Good Monday Morning to all of you and hope you are having a wonderful start to your week.  Tomorrow is the first day of the year of 2013!  Can you believe it?  I know this past year has just flown by and I am so excited to be able to start a brand new year in church tonight.  We are having a New Year's Eve service which we do yearly.  What better way to start the New Year than worshiping the King of Kings, Jesus!

I actually put the verse on the envelope and embossed it with one of the embossing folder.  I thought it turned out great.  Just a simple card to let someone know you care.

Happy New Year/My Digital Studio

My daughter did not have time to do Christmas Cards and had just had her family pictures taken.  So she wanted to do something with them.  I suggested a New Years Card for everyone.  There was a template that was recently put out for My Digital studio and what I did was to add three photo's to it.  Here is the original with only the photo's added and the Happy New Year!

Me nor my daughter liked this one too much as it was too dark and it was hard to see the Happy New Year and 2013 when it was printed, so the following 2 are the ones I did to see which she liked best.

This was the second one I showed her!

And this was the 3rd one I showed her and the one she chose to use.  I think it was a great choice! I printed it on 5X7 photo paper and it turned out great.  I love My Digital Studio!!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful and prosperous New Year which will be here in
2 days!  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Baby Card

Wow, two post in one week!  Maybe I will be able to get my MoJo going again!  I had a few moments yesterday to put this card together quickly with the help of Freshly Made Sketches.  My daughter is having a baby boy in February and we are really getting excited.  Actually today we are going to see the baby on a 3 D scan which is also very exciting.  Anyway, her colors for the room are yellow, white and gray.  She has cars in the bedding, but all I had was this cute little duck on wheels and I decided it would work out just great.  So that is what I used.  Isn't it just the cutest.

Here is the side view of the card!

New Stuff Sneak Peak

Good Morning and boy did it feel good to get back into the craft room last night and make this card.  It was a lot of fun and felt so good.  I have really just been so busy, but finally had the chance to do a little stamping.  I used my new stuff along with some of my old stuff.  The new stuff included the new Stamp Set Secret Garden and guess what?  I did not cut the flower out, I used the framelits that go along with it.  Oh so easy!  The paper is some of the new stuff also and it is called Tea for Two and it is just beautiful.  Love to get new stuff and then use it.  These items will be available on January 2nd for order.  I did emboss the flower and the sentiment.  Love embossing!  And, this was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Paper Craft Crew Challenge blog where they also had a color challenge, but I did not do that part.  I wanted to used my new paper too much!!!!

Here is a side view of the card!

And the inside of the card!

Hymn & Scripture Challenge # 18 / O Holy Night

Good Morning all and Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!  I am so glad to be able to share our next Hymn with you today as it is a Christmas Hymn and such a beautiful one at that and for sure one of my all time favorite.  How thankful we should all be that our Father chose to send His Son to us in the form of a man so that we could all experience true forgiveness.

Look at the verses of this wonderful Christmas Hymn!

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

What a wonderful night that our Savior was born!  And to hear this beautiful song you can go here to hear Nat King Cole Sing!

Now here is my simple page, but I feel it reflects that wonderful Holy Night!

Now please make sure that you go over to see Patter's wonderful post as she has more details on the song and a wonderful devotion.

May you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!

SU LateNightStampers Challenge / Make an Ornament

This weeks challenge over at our LateNightStampers group is to create an ornament.  That is exciting to me as I started one back before Thanksgiving with the Stocking Die and never completed it and I needed three of them.  So what did I do Monday Evening.  I got to work and finished the first one and made two more.  This is the second one I made and decided to use it first to show it without the goodies in it.  I used last years Christmas Paper from Stampin' Up! as I felt it was very Masculine.  Actually I used last years paper on all of them.  Hope that is OK!

Now here is the same stocking with the goodies added!

How cool is that!  I hope my little Nathan just loves it!  And here is the one I made his sister which was the first one I made.  I also used some mod podge on it to seal it, but decided not to do the other two and bought a sealant spray for paper which seemed to work better.  Now the one with the mod podge may hold up better.  We will see!

And here is the last one for my oldest granddaughter!

With this one I used the glimmer paper and then cut out a flower from the designer paper to used as the accent on the top.  The names for all of the stocking were did in My Digital Studio and printed out and then I cut them out.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Hymn & Scripture Challenge # 17 / Sweet Hour of Prayer

Well I have another Hymn & Scripture challenge for you today.  I am still one behind as one came out on Sunday, but not too far behind.  I have been so busy, but am really trying to stay focused on what this time of the year means to me, and is one of the reasons I have not posted much lately.  I can say that "this Hymn is one of my Favorites."  And yes, I have said that before.  It really shows us just how sweet  prayer is in our lives.  Here are the words to the song!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
that calls me from a world of care,

and bids me at my Father's throne
make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
my soul has often found relief,
and oft escaped the tempter's snare
by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
the joys I feel, the bliss I share
of those whose anxious spirits burn
with strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
where God my Savior shows his face,
and gladly take my station there,
and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
thy wings shall my petition bear
to him whose truth and faithfulness
engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since he bids me seek his face,
believe his word, and trust his grace,
I'll cast on him my every care,
and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Isn't that just beautiful, whether in a song or said as a poem, it is beautiful.  I chose the verse because it is one of my favorite verses and I know that this time of year anxiety can really mess up your days.  And I know from experience that when I spend time alone with God that prayer can become very sweet and can release those anxieties.  When we spend time with God oh how sweet that time is and oh how blessed and renewed our spirit becomes.  It is a time to get away from all the hustle and bustle and just spend that quite time being refilled by the spirit of God.  You can cast your every care on Him and He wants us to cast them on Him. Now here is my page.  I hope that you will spend time with God in prayer today!

Now you have to go over and check out Patter's post as she talks more about the author and also speaks more on the subject of prayer.  Her post is just wonderful and so refreshing.

Now you have to listen to this rendition of Sweet Hour of Prayer by George Beverly Shea!  Just Beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by today and please spend time with God today!

Hymn & Scripture Challenge #16 / Praise to the Lord the Almighty

Here I am with another Hymn and Scripture Challenge and still have one more to do as I am behind now.  It has just been a busy four weeks and I lost track of the time.  So now it is catch up time before the next one comes out on December 16th.  I think I can get it done, don't you?

This is one of the first hymns that I don't remember ever hearing.  But once I heard the version from Patter's blog post I knew it could become a favorite as it was really a delight and very beautiful with words of praise to my Lord and Savior.  That is what makes a hymn so beautiful; It gives praise to my Lord.  Anything that gives praise to God is beautiful because He is worthy of our praise and our praise shows Him how thankful we are for all of His provisions.

The verse I chose just seemed to fit this song and to fit what it said to me.  "The Lord is my strength and song.  And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father's God, and I will exalt Him." Exodus 15:2  Will you praise and exalt Him today with me?

Here is my page! Very simple, but it tells the story!

I did choose a different version of the song from u-tube and you can listen here!

Also, please check out Patter's post for this Hymn!  She does a remarkable job with her post!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you are blessed today!

SU LateNightStampers Challenge / Gift card/money holder

Good Tuesday Morning to you all and hope you are having a wonderful day.  Our challenge this week for our LateNightStampers, LNS, group is to make a gift card holder or money holder.  And, I used the top note die and one of my favorite Christmas sets, Snow Much Fun to make this great gift card holder.  I actually learned how to do this one from Nancy Lewis, my demonstrator.  She is so talented.

Here is the inside of the holder and how you would open it.

It is put together with a brad and you just slide it to either side.

Now here it is with cash, which is how I will use it for my niece.

And now with a gift card.

Isn't it just the cutest. I love it and so easy.

Just a mini tutorial: Cut out two red pieces of the card stock using the Top Note Die and the Big Shot or whatever cutting system you may have.  Then cut two of the Whisper White card stock.  One of the whisper white you will trim around the edge that is dotted by the cutting to make the red show as a border around it.  Stamp whatever you would like onto this piece and then attach this to one of the red pieces.  Take the other Whisper White piece of card stock and cut it in half at the center points.  Adhere it to the bottom of the other red piece of card stock.  Decorate as you would like.  I used the scallop border punch to cut out a border in the red glitter paper.  Put the two together by using a brad or whatever else you would like to use.  That is all there is to it.  So easy yet so cute.

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: Snow Much Fun
Card Stock: Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red, Stazon, Crumb Cake (snowman edges)
Dazzling Diamonds glitter
Two Way Glue Pen
Markers for coloring
Blender Pens for the coloring of the snowman
Glitter Brad
1/4" grosgrain red/white ribbon

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you enjoyed your time here.  God bless!
