MDS On the Go Kit on Canvas

I am still helping my daughter work on her baby room which is yellow and gray bedding with cars on it.  And so I thought I would use the kit in My Digital Studio called "On the Go" to print out the vehicles, cut them out and then attach them to canvas.  First of all I had to paint the canvas a sky blue and then add the pavement or dirt whichever I felt was needed.  In one I had to add the ocean and I thought I did a pretty good scene with that one especially since I am not an artist.  This really makes you feel like one though.  Then I used Mod Podge to adhere the image over the paint and then kind of painted a little around the vehicles to give them more of a painted look. Here are the 8X8 canvases I did for the baby's room to match the bedding.

Here is the car and truck!

And the tractor and boat!

How cool is that! I hope my daughter likes the outcome.  I sure did have fun working with them. Now here is her bedding!.  This is not the baby's name, I found this picture on-line under Pottery Barn.  Do you think it will match OK?

Thanks for looking and hope to have something new for you tomorrow!
Blessings and Good Night!

Stampin Fun and Friends Starts 2/1/13

Hello all!  Another announcement!  I have been asked to be on the Design Team for this session for Stampin' Fun and Friends which is a fun place to be and I have joined them as a member for the last two sessions and really enjoyed my time there.  They are a great group of women and I am honored to be a part of the Design Team for this session.  I have learned so much and really enjoyed the projects that the design team came up with.  So this time, I had to come up with a project and I am excited about what I came up with to go with this theme. Took me some time, but it was worth it.

The Next session of Stampin' Fun And Friends begins February 1st, 2013.  This session will be all about sweets and how to package them for gifts.  Every project will include some sort of special card to accompany it. Here is our logo that we would love for you to share with others.  You can click on the image and it will take you to the site where you can sign up.

Please let me know if you have questions!  Hope to see some of my loyal Internet friends there.  Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day!

Monday's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge

Good Monday Morning all and welcome to this weeks Monday's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge over at Techno stamper.  I was chosen as one of her Design Team Members this past week and am thrilled to be a part of this great team.  So now here is the sketch for this week!
And with that, here is my sample!

With this card, I used the high lighting technique.  That is where you take a image and then high light one specific area of the image with a color.  I used the Calypso Coral to high light the section and the 1" punch.

Here is the side view of the card!

And, I also use the Smooch Spritz on it, so here is a closer view of the mid section of the card which shows a little of the shimmer!

I hope you can see it because it is really nice!

All items used are Stampin'  Up!

Late Night Stampers Challenge / Let's heat things up!

This weeks challenge at Late Night Stampers is to use heat embossing! Lately it seems like that I have been using a lot of heat embossing and really enjoying it.  Really can add depth to any project.  And in looking at some of the sketches this past week, the one from Try Stampin on Tuesday.  So with that in mind, I am posting a little in advance to be able to link up the sketch to their site.  So here it is!

How sweet is this set. I just love it.  Has all kind of little stamps to go with this cute little car.  Once I retire, I am going to have a little car just like this! lol  The love ya came from a retired set called Monkey Business and actually says "love ya bunches" but I just wanted to use the love ya!

Here is the side view of this card!

And yes, I did do the inside!

Don't forget to link up to our new blog!  It is so easy and you can find our Late Night Stampers blog here!

My First Mixed Media Art Piece

Hello everyone and I am so excited to share with you my first Media Art Piece!  I have been wanting to do this for quite a while, had purchased some supplies such as paint and brushes, but never actually did it.  So last night after I got home I just thought I need to pull out that canvas I purchased and those paints and get to work.  I did look at one of Christy Tomlinson's videos to look at which helped me quite a bit in creating the "she girl" as Christy calls it.  I also have two on-line friends that have inspired me quite a bit, Marsha - blog GCgirl and Cassandra - Blue Lily Design.  Actually my "I am forgiven" was taken from one of Cassandra's post on "I am" collection.  Loved it and the whole time I was creating this piece I was thinking about how God has forgiven me my sins and washed them all away!  I am so thankful for His amazing grace and forgiveness. I hope to do more of these and put them in my guest room.  I know this is not the best, but I am so happy with it and thanks so much to all my inspiration.  I am still considering taking the class offered by Christy Tomlinson.  And now to my piece of art that I am so excited about.  Now remember it is my first one!!!!!

In making this I used some retired Designer paper from Stampin' Up! Some retired stamps and rub ons from Stampin' Up! Stazon Ink, Markers, pallet of paint, and a few stick ons and other items.

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed your visit!

A New Shirt Christmas layout!

I was able to put another Christmas page together for my granddaughter's album.  Now all I have to do is print it out and put it into the book.  She is such a show off in photos, but I love it.  This year I plan on filling up an album for each of my grandchildren and starting in February, I will start one for my 4th grandchild.  Looking forward to his birth as he is the next big event in this year!

My Digital Studio was used with Jolly Christmas Cheer Kit!

Thanks for looking today!

Hymn Scripture Challenge 2013 / Hymn #1 "Lift High the Cross"

I was so excited to hear that Patter was going to continue the Hymn/Scripture Challenge for 2013.  I was having so much fun with it last year and was learning so much.  Now for the 1st song that Patter chose!

Lift High the Cross was not a song I knew nor can I remember hearing it before, but I loved Patter's write up.  And, then listening to the song I realized just how beautiful the song is and what truths it has written in the verses.

My scripture came from verse 3:

O Lord, once lifted
On the glorious tree,
As Thou hast promised
Draw the world to Thee.

And with that I was reminded of the verse in John 12:32 "But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself."

I am excited that I was one of the ones that He has drawn unto Himself!  But I have good news, He wants to draw all to Himself.  All you have to do is believe on Him, Jesus Christ, and you can receive Him as your Lord!

You can find the song here and please check out the version that Patter has on her blog also.  It is so detailed with the crucifixion.

Another part of a favorite verse in the song is highlighted at the bottom of my page and without further ado, here it is!

I used spring colors and flowers as this reminded me of spring and new growth!

Here is a close up of the verse!

And a close up of the center of the page!

All items used were from My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up!

Thanks for looking and hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Also entering this into this weeks Word Art Wednesday!

Late Night Stamper's Challenge / Color Challenge

This week at Late Night Stampers blog our challenge is to use the colors Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette, and Lucky Limeade.  I just realized that I love these colors together.  So pretty!  And as I was trying to decide how to put my card together, I found the sketch at Clean and Simple, decided to make it a Birthday Card from Sunny Challenges and then last but not least I used my new stuff for the SUO Challenge.  Thanks to each one of them for making this a card I love.  And here it is!

I actually embossed the folower and the green leaf with clear embossing powder just to give it a little dimension. And at some point I got a little glitter into my embossing powder, so there is a little shimmer through it.  Mistakes usually make for a nice addition at times!  Now for the side view!

And the inside!  Can't imagine not doing the inside of a card!  And the envelope!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a blessed Monday!

Frame It!

Wow, two post in one day!  Well the reason for that is the challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs is to "Border It" and so I need to post before their challenge ran out which is in about 1 hour.  Anyway, I needed this card to send out tomorrow for friends of ours that my husband and I were hoping to encourage. I wanted to use this verse and so when I saw the challenge I thought that is what I will do is just make a simple card with some corner punches to give it a border.  And I also used my piercing tool with one of the new piercing packs from Stampin' Up!  I just love those new packs.  Anyway, I do love the outcome of this card and since it is for the family it does not look too feminine as some of my cards do!

Here is the side view of the card!

And, can't forget the inside!

Items Used are:

My daughter's baby shower

I thought I would share with you some of the items that my daughter and I made for my other daughter's baby shower!  It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work.

First my daughter made this diaper motorcycle.  Isn't it just the cutest.  Made with receiving blankets, socks, bibs, diapers, bottle and a stuffed animal.  Directions were found on pinterest!!!

This banner I made using my digital studio and the "on the go kit."  Printed it out and ran ribbon through.  Turned out wonderful!

And the little covers for the candy were also printed using the same MDS kit!

Also made some little flags for the cupcakes doing the same thing!

I also made this little corsage using baby socks!

Loved putting these cake pops together.

Also a photo of my granddaughter on the left (sister of the new baby), my youngest daughter and expectant mom in the middle, my oldest daughter on the right.  The other little girl is from my daughter's neighborhood and I am uncertain of her name.

And then a photo outside of me and my daughter!

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed the shower as much as I did.  Have a blessed day!

So Sweet, Yet So Sassy - Scrapbooking again!

On my birthday back in December which was a pretty warm day, my granddaughter rode with my husband and me to the restaurant after church where we were going to celebrate my birthday.  The car was rather warm and so she turned the air up in the back to cool off.  Then she started acting silly and said "the wind is blowing in my hair!"  I had gotten a brand new camera from my husband for my birthday, so I just started shooting and these are some of the pictures I got.  She loved every minute of it and I enjoyed taking the pictures.  There was no way they were not going into her scrapbook!  So here is the page I did using a sketch I found on Pinterest.

Here is a one close up of the title side of the page!

And the picture side of the page!

And these wonderful flowers that are a digital download!

Thanks for stopping by today. I used My Digital Studio and  the Tea Time II digital kit from Stampin' Up!

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Late Night Stampers Challenge / Hearts A Flutter

Hello to all my friends out there! Hope you have a great week.  This week our challenge at Late Night Stampers is to use hearts on your project.  Well this time of year, I  have been seeing quite a few hearts, but I wanted to use my new Honeycomb textured impressions embossing folder and so I did.  And I also used my old hearts embosslit.  I love that little thing and I love the hearts that come out with each heart embossed differently.  Just beautiful I think!  My card was inspired by the sketch this week at Sketch Frenzy Friday.  So easy and  simple, yet you can do as much or less as you want.  I added layers to mine.

Here is a side view of the card!

Thanks for looking today and hope your week is blessed!  And don't forget to stop by our new blog at LNS and check out all the DT teams samples.

Daughter's Baby Shower Card/Hybrid

The theme for my daughter's baby shower is cars, trucks, etc.. because she did the room with wood cars, trucks, trains, planes etc and the bedding is yellow and gray.  So what did I do, I used the My Digital Studio to create this card and a lot of other items for the shower.  (more coming later)  I changed the color of the paper to match the theme and colored the car and the truck in MDS download kit "On the Go."  What a great kit it is with the cars, trucks, airplanes and other items.  And, I used the sketch this week from Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  What a great sketch!

Here is another view!

And of course the inside!

The Rest of the Story - Scrapbook Page #3

Hope this finds everyone well and happy as I am trying to stay well!  It seems everyone that I come into contact with has been sick or is sick and I do not want whatever this funk is going around.  Anyway, I finished the two page layout from Christmas with my Grandson sitting in my husband's lap making funny faces and laughing.  You can see some of that above and it is just the best.  Of course my first thought when all of this started was: get your camera and start shooting and that is exactly what I did.  Now of course the rest of the family does not think about that when I am playing with our grandson or granddaughters for that matter, but I am OK with that!!!!

So here are the two pages put together!

The one from my post on Tuesday and of course today's! And again, here is where I got the sketch for this layout from, Sketch Savvy!

Thanks again for stopping by and please stay well!!!!

Christmas Scrapbook Page #2

Just thought I would share with you another page that I did from Christmas with my dear husband and grandson!  He does love His papa and I plan on putting this in my grandson's scrapbook.  I was inspired by a sketch from Sketch Savvy, sketch #15 which was from May and actually was a two page layout and I probably will do the second page at some point, but wanted to share the first page now.

My Digital Studio was used for this layout and downloads used was the Jolly Holiday and Holly and Jolly Embellishments.  Such and easy way to scrapbook.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

First Scrapbook Page of 2013

I am planning on doing a lot more scrapbook pages using "My Digital Studio," MDS, this year and this is my first.  I take so many photos and then don't show them off as I should.  So hopefully you will be seeing a lot more of my family and friends.  And, even more other things using MDS. I just love that program.

The first page I have for this year was taken Christmas Eve at my house with the grand kids   We open our presents on Christmas Eve and of course not until evening, so we have to fill in the rest of the day with other things.  My two granddaughters just love climbing trees and I am a little frightened of what will happen once my grandson gets a little older, but for now he was happy just hanging out at the bottom as I took the pictures.  So here is my first page of the year!

How cute is this! I actually used a sketch from one of my favorite scrap booking sketch sites, Got Sketch.  This sketch is actually from April 2008 and you can find it here!  I just love their site and how you can just click on the sketches for 3, 4  or whatever photos and look through them.  EASY PEASY!!!!

Thanks for looking today and hope you have a wonderful weekend!
