TSSC256 Another Monday Lunch Time Sketch Sample

Hello all, here I am back with a second sample for this weeks TSSC Monday Lunch Time Sketch Sample.  With this one, I used Fan Fair Designer paper and then cut the flower for it to fit off the edge of the Very Vanilla piece.  I really like how it turned out.  I did stamp a retired stamp sentiment on the side as I really liked it for the card.

Here is a side view of the close up of the flower.  You can see where I slipped the vanilla card stock up under the cut piece of the flower.  My photos are not very good, but I think you get the just of it.  Now make sure you stop the Techno stamper's blog to see the sketch.  You can find it here!

LNS Challenge 216/TSSC256 Monday Lunch Time Sketch

Wow, what a week I have had.  I think each day seems to get busier.  But maybe that just comes with getting older each day.  But I did have a chance to get my samples done and posted for this weeks challenges.  Whatever possessed me to take on two Monday Morning challenges? lol  Again I combined these two, but I also had to make two projects.  Why, because this weeks LNS challenge was to do a 3-d item.  So what I decided to do was to make a box for some cards I had been making to go into a basket for a raffle.  Now how great is that.  So this challenge actually helped me to catch up on some things I was going to have to do anyway.  And, you know the TSSC Monday Lunch Time Sketch is a "Sketch."  So the reason for doing two projects this week.  So without further ado, onto my project!  The first photo is with both of the projects together, the card and the box which will hold quite a few cards.

So you see I will be using this card as one of the cards for the box.  And, the card comes from the sketch that Mary Jo has for us this week on her blog.  Such a clean and simple sketch.  You really need to stop by and see all the great samples the DT Team has designed.  They are really beautiful.

So here is the card by itself and with better lighting I think!

Here is a side view of the card.

Now on to the box where I took the photo from the front!

Now from the side to show the depth of it.

And the back to show the closure of it.

Now how great is that.  I saw a tutorial that Tanya Bell had done for this box and fell in love with it and had to try it out.  You can find her post and video here!  Please check it out, you will love it as it is a one sheet card box and we both used the back card board sheet that comes with the Designer Series Paper.  So you can say this is recycling also.  Yea!!!!  And don't you just love how it closes in the back. Looks kind of like an envelope.

Get Well Card meets By the Seashore

Good Wednesday morning to all my friends out in cyber land.  Love the fact that you get to know so many people and become friends just by having a blog and visiting others blogs.  It is great!

Today I am sharing this Get Well Card which was inspired by this weeks sketch at "Sketch Frenzy Friday."  It was the perfect sketch to finally break out my stamp set By the Seashore.  Loved it from the beginning, but have just used it for the first time.  Also this weeks challenge over at Sunny Challenges is to make a Get Well card, so that was easy to just put the Get Well down at the bottom.

Here is a close up of the crab showing how I stamped up under the cut out image.

You can just see a hint of the stamping underneath.  Also a side view!

LNS 215 Challenge / TSSC255 Sketch

Happy Monday Morning everyone!  Hope you are all doing well and ready to get busy this week on these two fabulous challenges.  This of course is my sample for this weeks challenge at Late Night Stampers which is "Goodbye Sale-a-bration."  This is the last week for SU's Sale-A-Bration, and then the Monday Lunch Time Sketch over at TSSC.  Fell in love with this sketch and just knew I had to combine the two challenges and use this Ferris Wheel.  I love it and I love the sentiment that goes along with the stamp set.  Black is also one of my favorite colors to put with white or vanilla and this time I chose to go with White.

Here is a side view of the card!

So now it is your turn to share your ideas with us.  You can find the Late Night Challenge Blog here and the TSSC255 sketch here.

My Digital Studio Soccer Page

I was so excited to see the challenge this week over at MDS Monday as it really challenged me to do something different.  So this morning I went to a soccer game for my sweet granddaughter and got some great shots of her playing and just had to share for this challenge.  It was just a perfect way to fit the sketch in and the Subway Art part of the challenge.  So here is the page!

I had never really thought much about using subway art even though I had heard of it, but Subway Art is using different size and type of fonts to fill the area with related words. So I used my digital stamp set called "Sporting" for the words and at the end I told a little about Morgan and used the fonts from my computer to add that into the list.  Worked out wonderful and I tried to use all the colors that were on the page.  I thought it turned out good and my granddaughter just loved it.

Thanks for looking and hope you have a fabulous day!

My Digital Studio was used to make this page.

Tea Shoppe Card

Happy Saturday to you!  This is a card I made on Thursday but was only able to get the photos this morning.  It is not my usual card as I don't usually have a lot of layering on mine, but I did like the sketch for this month over on "A Die For a Sketch."  I knew I wanted to use the Lattice Bigz Die, so I started with that and let the rest of the card come from there.  As I do like the outcome, it still is a little out of my comfort zone.  But isn't that what creativity is all about?

Here is a side view of the card!

And yes I did the inside and added a beautiful scripture so I could send this to a friend who is having a hard time right now.

It was only after I finished that I decided to add the scripture and of course it was hard to stamp due to the layers on the outside.  So I had to compromise a little and use one of my markers to fill in the areas that did not stamp as good.  So all in all it is OK and my friend will love it, I think.

All items used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
Stamp Sets: Tea Shoppe, ODB Scripture Series 6
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple
Designer Series Paper: Print Poetry Paper Pack
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Markers for image on inside
Modern Label Punch

Thanks for looking!

Hymn & Scripture Challenge - Hymn # 5 - Cleanse Me

What a beautiful Hymn that Patter shared with us this week.  I love the music and the lyrics.  It is just beautiful. The first verse is my favorite as it is one that I desire daily to walk with God the way I should.  Look at these words.

Search me, O God, and know my heart today;
Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts, I pray.
See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from ev'ry sin and set me free.

You see that is my desire and my prayer is to be cleased and set free.  And there are times I have to pray this prayer a few times a day, not just once.  I guess you could say I am a stuborn person, but I so want to be able to serve God and worship Him as He should be served and worshiped and able to help others as they seek Him.

To see the history on this verse and a wonderful devotion, please see Patter's post here.  She also has a link to this song sung by two very special men on her post, but I thought I would let you hear a beautiful piano version by this talented young man, Zarah Abejo! What a talent he has.

Now on to my page!  I decided to use 1 John 1:7 for my verse.  For if we do walk in the Light of our Lord we can be free and be a reflection of Him, a light that others can see.  I am working toward being the reflection and will continue until my journey here ends.  "Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together." Psalm 34:3

I have used this little girl on other pages, but she just seemed perfect for this page and looks as if she is talking to God.  So there are times that is how I feel and she just seems to work so well with this page.  I am linking this to Word Art Wednesday also.

All items used are Stampin' Up! and a part of My Digital Studio and downloads for My Digital Studio.  I must start writing the down loads down so I can put them on my post.  It might look better.

Thanks for stopping by and now it is back to work for me!  Catch you later.

Tea Shoppe/Tea for Two DSP

Good Morning friends! Hope your day started out well. Here we are having rain, but the temps are warmer so does not feel to bad.  I try to always be thankful for what each day brings as I know God is in control.  The card this morning is inspired by this week sketch at Unscripted Sketches.  At first I thought what could I use and then the Tea Shoppe stamp set came to mind and this is the end of the story.  I do like the card even though it had to grow on me.  Here is a side view of the card!

And even stamped the large tea cup in the center of the inside with the so saffron so you could write over it.

LNS Challenge / TSSC254 Monday Lunch Time Sketch

Good Monday Morning and welcome to this weeks LNS Challenge along with this weeks TSSC Monday Lunch Time Sketch.  Again I decided to combine the two challenges as I did the card on Friday Night just to make sure it would be done.  I knew I had a busy weekend ahead and so glad I did.  The challenge for LNS this week was to go Masculine.  So I decided that I would use the stamp set called Clock Works.  I bought it specifically for a masculine card and have used it a few time.  It just works so well for masculine.  This is also a very CAS car as it is only one layer with just the center added.  And the sketch that Mary Jo had for us this week was just perfect for this stamp set.

Here is a close up of the center of the card!

You can see here more of the detail of the card and also more of the mistakes, right!!!

And another view of the side of the card!

Side views always show you the depth of the card when you have popped items up, like the clock and the birthday sentiment.

And yes I did the inside and used two different stamps there to get it to say what I wanted!

This is wonderful Designer Paper for a masculine card also.

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Clockworks, Happiest Birthday Wishes (inside), Feeling Sentimental (inside), Party This Way (front sentiment)
Card Stock: Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Designer Series paper: Comfort Cafe
Ink: Midnight Muse, Soft Suede
3/4" round punch
Scallop Trim Corner Punch
Soft Subtle brads
1/4" chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon

Hope your Monday is blessed and a wonderful start to the week!

Masculine/Feminine Birthday Cards

Good Sunday Morning to all my friends and hope you are feeling well and blessed today!  What a beautiful day we are suppose to have today in Coastal North Carolina.  I think we will feel some spring weather today!  I am so excited about that!

Today I would like to share two cards I made using the Sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday!  I just fell in love with it and knew it would work great for some of the cards I am making for a fundraising banquet and auction.  So what I did was make two birthday cards.  One feminine and One Masculine.  We will start with the feminine one and here it is.

Isn't this just the greatest sketch for simple cards and you get to use up your old scraps too.  Also for the feminine card I cut my strips 1" X 4" to make it a little more dainty.  I love the outcome!

Here is a side view before we proceed on to the masculine card!

One other thing, the designer paper for both cards is Twitterpated. I was happy it worked out that way!  Now onto the masculine card!

As you can see the banners are a little larger and I cut them 1 1/4 X 4.  Here is a side view!  Also a little sneak ahead, our challenge for LNS this week is masculine, so this kind of goes along with our next challenge.  I have a head start!

OK, now that you have seen them, what do you think?

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp: You're Amazing Happy Birthday
Card Stock: Island Indigo, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Basic Gray, Pear Pizazz
Used Markers for the coloring of the stamp

Hymn & Scripture Challenge - Hymn # 4 Worthy of Worship

Wow, what a beautiful song this is!  Worthy of Worship, just beautiful words and music.  I am unsure if I have heard this song before, but it does sound familiar.  But then on the other hand, I would have remembered this beautiful Hymn!

Anyway, as I was thinking on this song and the words, it reminded me of the scripture in Revelation 4:11 "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."  Our Lord did create all things and He is worthy of our praise.  This is not the scripture I chose for my page, but I wanted to share it with you.

I have seen the birth of all four of my grandchildren and when I think of the feeling as they were born and praise I felt and the joy, I can't help but think that God created all of us and it is such a blessing to see His creation of birth.  I have cried with every one of those births and also the births of my two daughters.  God is worthy of our Worship and our praise.  Now look at all the words of this hymn.

Worthy of worship, worthy of praise,
Worthy of honor and glory;
Worthy of all the glad songs we sing,
Worthy of all the offerings we bring.

Refrain
You are worthy, Father, Creator.
You are worthy, Savior, Sustainer.
You are worthy, worthy and wonderful;
Worthy of worship and praise.

Worthy of rev'rence, worthy of fear,
Worthy of love and devotion;
Worthy of bowing and bending of knees,
Worthy of all this and added to these.

Almighty Father, Master and Lord,
King of all kings and Redeemer,
Wonderful Counselor, Comforter, Friend,
Savior and Source of our life without end.

Here is the song sung by young girl who I think does a fabulous job!  Hope you enjoy!

Now on to my page!

Since the page is the same color as the background, if you click on the photo it will take you to another screen and you can see the page better.

Now the scripture I chose is Psalm 145:3 as again it shows that he is worthy of praise.  But the part that really jumped out at me was the "His Greatness no one can fathom."  Wow, our Lord is great above all things, creator of all things.  How GREAT is that?

Please stop by Patter's blog and check out her post as I am so thankful for this challenge she has provided for us.  Her post tells all about the origin of the song and she has a wonderful devotion.  You will be happy you stopped there.

All items for my page are part of My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up!

Introducing - MDS scrapbook page

Good Morning everyone!  Today I am sharing the introduction scrapbook page for my new Grandson and the page that is beside it in the scrapbook is My first day!  I am loving doing this complete book for my daughter as we have worked together many times in MDS creating 1st year books for her friends who have had babies.  Of course I have created ones also for all the girls in my church that have had babies and they print out so well and they always love the personalization of them.  But now as I am creating this book, I am also adding the photos that I take or my daughter sends to me.  It just really makes such a difference when it is your grandson.  So without further ado, here are the pages introducing him and 1st day!

With Mom, Dad and Sister!

I have already printed these out and put into the book.  So much fun to do and such memories that are preserved.

All items used are for My Digital Studio. Paper from the On the Go kit.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a very blessed day!

Going Home - MDS Page

Well I have two more pages to share with you from Michael's book, but when I saw the sketch from MDS Monday, I just had to put this page together quickly so I could join in their challenge this week.  I knew it was the perfect sketch for these two photos and after I finished the page, I knew I was right.  It is a very simple sketch which means you can add to it if need be.  I really kept it pretty simple and only added a few things.  So here it is!

Now is he not the cutest thing you have ever seen?  Oh excuse me, we are suppose to be talking about the scrapbook page aren't we! lol  Now this was an easy page and I used the On The Go Kit paper and embellishments.  That will probably be the theme for most of the pages.

Thanks so much and I will try to get the other two pages posted tomorrow if possible.

Enjoy your Thursday!

Easter Card - He is Risen!

I just love this stamp set as it says exactly what it needs to say and comes with these adorable flowers also.  And it helped a lot on how I was going to do this card when I saw the challenge over at Sunny Challenges and Creations on Monday which included a sketch with the theme of Easter.  So I decided to use every stamp in the set.  I stamped the flowers quite a few times as you can see.  I colored them in by using three different markers - Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose.  I colored the stems with Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi. Once done with that, I sponged over the images all three colors and then stamped the sentiment at the top in Regal Rose.  So that is how I created the one panel with the flowers.  The rest is pretty simple.

Here is a side view of the card!

On the inside, I used the last stamp with this set which says, "Wishing you an Easter filled with His Love!"  I did not get a photo, but what a great way to use this stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

LNS Challenge / TSSC253 Monday Lunch Time Sketch

Good Monday Morning everyone and welcome to this weeks Monday Lunch Tim Sketch and Late Night Stamper's Challenge.  This week I combined both into one card as it has been one of those weeks.  I do believe I have a sinus infection, but have been to busy to get to the Dr.  I have not felt like doing much, and yet life seems to keep me still busy.  But, I did get up early this morning to put this card together.  It was pretty quick and easy and I even did some embossing on the flower and the sentiment.  Love to emboss and it is really not that hard.  Don't know why I don't do more of it.

Here is a side view of the card!

With this you can see how I popped up the flower.

Now a close up of the flower and the sentiment.

All items used are Stampin' Up!

Card Stock: Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo, Gumball Green

Box Card and Tag

This was one of my last projects I did this past week for Stampin' Fun and Friends along with a tutorial on how to do the card box, the band for the box and the tag.  The wonderful think about these card boxes is it can be any theme you want and you could just add a piece of jewelry or anything small.  I actually showed how you can decorate the inside of this one and add something besides a tag, or you can just keep the inside plain and add a tag.  There are so many options available.

Now here is the tag as a stand alone.

I love this designer paper as it gave it just the right amount of a distressed looked once I dded the sponging.

And now you get the see the box card closed!

And isn't this flower ribbon just beautiful! I am loving it.
