My First Bath Scrapbook Page

Here I am again with another page for my grandson's scrapbook.  I could stay busy the rest of my life scrap booking my four grandchildren and I love it.  This page was inspired by the sketch over at MDS Monday and what I love about their challenge is it challenges you to do something different with each sketch.  This one challenged me to learn to use the freeform option, which I had never used and actually went out and found a video about it.  Once I learned how to do it, I loved it!  I am sure I will use this option quite often.  I could even use it to put my words into a circle, square or whatever I choose.  Love it and thanks to MDS Monday, I used it on this page for the dotted circle.  I really do love it!!!!!  Did I say I am going to love this option!!!!

 Anyway, onto my page.

I actually used the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the same kit I have been using for the baby book, "On the Go," but I changed the color of the background DSP from the green to the pool party since it was a "first bath" layout.  I wanted it to look a little like bubbles.  I think it kind of gives that effect.  So that is another option I used on my own.  I really like that you can now change the colors on the paper and the embellishments.  It makes a difference when you are working on different layouts.

LNS Challenge 221/TSSC261 Monday Lunch Time Sketch

Happy Monday Morning and welcome to this weeks challenge for the Late Night Stampers and for the TSSC Monday Lunch Time Sketch.  This week at LNS we are celebrating - yes whatever you would like to celebrate from graduation to birthday and anything in between.  And yes, again I combined the two challenges as this was another busy weekend, but a wonderful weekend as I had about 20 family members in town for my dear grandson's dedication.  What a blessing!

So, I decided to make my dear granddaughter a birthday card from the sketch to celebrate her birthday coming up in mid May.  She will be 10 - yes double digits and I can't believe I have a 10 year old granddaughter almost.  Anyway, she loves flowers so I thought this sketch was the perfect one for her birthday.  Here is the front of the card!

Here is a side view!

And now for the inside!

So now it is your turn to join us for this weeks celebration along with this weeks sketch from TSSC.  Can't wait to see all the wonderful creations this week.

Hymn & Scripture Challenge - Hymn # 7 - Trust Him When Thy Wants are Many

Well here I am with the next Hymn and Scripture Challenge - Hymn # 7.  I am really enjoying these challenges and they make you really think about what God has done for us and just how much we need to Trust Him with our lives.  Which, leads into the Hymn we are doing for this challenge - Trust Him When Thy Wants are Many!  I must say I do not know this hymn, but the words are beautiful and I think it would be good to use it as a poem in a wall hanging.  That may be my next project. This song tells us that in every situation we need to trust God.  Beautiful words to live by!  The song is quite long, so for all the words of the song, you can find them here.  I love the way Patter named the different wants, so please stop by her blog and read her wonderful post on this song.  One of my favorite verses was verse three so I will share that one with you here.

Trust Him for the grace sufficient,
Ever equal to thy need;
Trust Him always for the answer,
When in His dear name you plead.

We need to know that exactly when a need arises, trust God with that need and for the answer. I love that I can call upon the name of the Lord and tell Him exactly what I needs and He hears me.  It does not mean that the answer will come that day or the next, or that it will be the answer you asked for.  But rest assured that His ways and His timing is perfect!  Regardless of the answer it will be the best.  That is "trusting God!"

The verse I chose is Psalm 18:30: "As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him."

Now here is the way I interpreted my page!

I put a list of the ways to trust Him, which included parts of the song.  And, I added the verse at the top.  He made all things: flowers, birds, butterflies, clouds, and made them perfect.  So in whom will I put my trust?  I will put my trust in Jesus Christ!

Baby Scrapbook Pages

Good Morning all and hope you have had a wonderful week so far.  I thought I would share two more pages with you from the Scrapbook I am doing of Baby Michael.  When I can't think of something to do, I always go to my pinned items on Pinterest.  What about you?  Anyway, I found a double sketch that I pinned from Sarah Milne's blog and it inspired these pages.  Love Pinterest!  Anyway, enough of the commercials and on to the pages.  Here is the Mommy & Me page.

And the Daddy and Me page!

How sweet are these!

LNS Challenge 220/TSSC260 Monday Lunch Time Sketch

Wow, what a week I have had and I was wondering if I would be able to get the challenges done for this week, but here I am and again was able to combine the challenges.  If not I don't think I would have been able to post at all as no time has been available for me to have paper, stamps and ink in front of me.  I was on a business trip all week and returned on Friday.  While I was away, I got some bad news about my dad, so I spent the whole day Saturday out of town again visiting with him and my family.  At least that is only 2 hours away, so not such a bad trip to take, but tiring after just returning from a 4 day business trip in Austin Texas.  Anyway, I was able to put this together after my visit as my daughter went with me and my Mom saw my little grandson for the first time.

The challenge this week for LNS is called "scrapbook inspired" which is to find a card sketch and use it for a scrapbook page or find a scrapbook sketch and use it for a card.  Well since I would not have been able to do both challenges unless they were on the same page or card, I chose the Monday Lunch Time Sketch this week and made it into a scrapbook page.  How great is that and I was able to get both challenges done.  So now to show you the page.

And, here is the sketch!
I think it looks just like the sketch, don't you?

LCOM SKetch Challenge

Hello all! I am in Austin Texas right now at a work conference.  It has been very interesting, but I thought I would take a break and share a page I did a couple of days ago.  I am trying my best to keep up with all the pictures I have been taking, but there are times it just gets a little out of hand.  I take so many pictures that my grandchildren really can get irritated with me.  In the following page you will see the single photo on the right of my granddaughter as she turns around just one more time and kind of glares at me.  But she still gave Grammy that cute little smile.  Anyway, I am using another sketch from the Let's Capture Our Memories blog.  It worked out perfect for this page.

Isn't she just the sweetest!

LNS Challenge 219/TSSC259 Monday Lunch Time Sketch

Good Monday Morning everyone and welcome to another Late Night Stampers Challenge and the TSSC Monday Lunch Time Sketch.  Two great challenges this week.  LNS Challenge is "Paired with a Punch."  Take those stamps that go with a punch and use them.  I have quite a few of those, but actually chose one I have not used in quite some time.  It just seemed to go so well with the paper I decided to use.  And, Mary Jo's sketch this week is just awesome.  So you need to get busy and join me with both of the challenges.  You will not be sorry!  Here is my sample this week.

And a side view of the card!

MDS Easter Egg Hunt LCOM14

Good Friday Morning to you!  It is rainy here but not cold, so I can handle it.  But the day before Easter here in Wilmington, NC was not quite so warm, but we were not having down pours like today.  Anyway, with all that, I wanted to share a page I did of my grandson last night hunting eggs during our church Easter egg hunt.  It was very damp feeling and cool as you will see he has a coat on and his toboggan.  The kids had a blast though and these are some of the photos I took of my grandson while he was hunting eggs.  If you notice in the picture there is not much hunting going on.  He still don't understand why you are out there picking up eggs off the ground.  Then he found out that they all had candy in them.  Too funny.

Also, I found a new scrapbook sketch challenge that I used to put this page together called Let's Capture Our Memories.  I will definitely be checking their blog out often for inspiration.  So without further ado, my page!

For this page, I used the April Showers Kit for MDS by Stampin' Up!

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful Friday and weekend.

MDSM11 Sketch "It's Time for a Kit Trick"

I am so excited that I found the MDS Monday Challenge blog as I love My Digital Studio and use it quite a bit.  It always makes it easier when you have a challenge you can design a page from.  Every other week they have a sketch and then an add on and this week is no different.  I love the add on which is to create a page primarily made up of content from 1 kit!  So my grandson's album is mostly using the "On the Go kit." So with this page I continued the theme, but I added one flower at the top for my granddaughter.  It was from the kit "You are my sunshine."  You will have to read the notes in the box, which is why I used the flower.  So here is my page all ready to print.

Good Monday Morning everyone and welcome to this weeks challenges for Late Night Stampers and the Monday Lunch time Sketch.  Again, I have combined the challenges as I don't have much time anymore it seams.  Life is just crazy, but that is OK.

Easter Scrapbook Pages

Wow, two in one day, but I just realized that the challenge over at MDS Monday was going to end today and if I wanted to post it over there, I had to get to work.  I had done most of it one evening this week, but needed to finish it up, but getting ready for the banquet today cut into my time greatly.  But anyway, I finally finished it. The challenge was a two page layout with adding a frame to one of the pictures.  And, now here it is!  Drum Roll please!!!!

And the second page.

My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up! was used along with the Spring Break II kit and the Festive Blooms embellishments.  Such easy pages to do and so rewarding once you have finished.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!

Feeling Sentimental

I made two of these cards last night for the guys who will be graduating from Gateway Landing, a ministry of our church.  We are so proud of these guys and I had to make this card X 2 for each of them.  I do hope they like it as this will start a new beginning for them.  If you would like to see what I am talking about, you can go to our facebook page here or our website here.  It is a healing place for men with life controlling issues such as drug and alcohol addiction.  It has been wonderful to watch these guys weekly grow in the knowledge of God and be set free from the addictions they had.

Here is the side view of the card!

and the inside!  I thought this verse was perfect for them.

And, today I have taken off to set up for the first Gateway Landing banquet and graduation which is tomorrow night.  We have over 125 people attending so we are really excited about this.  So I need to get this posted and get busy.  Meeting the others at breakfast at 9:00 and then on to pick up the rental stuff and on to set up the fellowship hall.  That is leading into the table place names that I made for the center of each table.  Some have names on it, but if you purchased a table of 6 it just has the last name.  For privacy purpose, I just used the card I made for our table.

Aren't these just the cutest!  Just enough for everyone to know which table they are at.  So we have 21 tables and I made 21 of them using My Digital Studio for the name tag.  It was perfect and the name is on both sides so you can see it from either direction.

Thanks for stopping by today.  All items used are stampin' up! except scripture verse was Our Daily Bread designs and of course the binder clips. Enjoy your day.

Hymn & Scripture Challenge - Hymn # 6 - Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing

Well it is time for my Hymn and Scripture Challenge to be posted since we only have the rest of this week before the next one comes out.  I really am enjoying these challenges and love checking out the others who participate in it.  We all do such a variety of pages, journals, etc.  And it is also great to see how each one of us describes the song in our creation.

With this Hymn, which I have sung since I was a little girl, I couldn't help but to think of a fountain of blessings which is where the umbrellas and flowers come from.  When the rain is poured out on the ground in the spring, you start seeing little flowers popping up everywhere and I just had to add that into the page I did.

I also concentrated on the second verse with my scripture choices as I thought how many times I have strayed from God.  Yet each time, he reached out and pulled me right back into His loving arms.  What mercy He shows to us daily.

Here is the second verse of this fabulous hymn:

Here I raise mine Ebenezer;
hither by thy help I'm come;
and I hope, by thy good pleasure,
safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
wandering from the fold of God;
he, to rescue me from danger,
interposed his precious blood.

I am so thankful that my Lord sought me, for without Him I do not know where I would be.  And, all the times He has rescued me from danger I cannot count.

Here is the song Come Thou Fount sang by the David Crowder Band!  And here is my page with all my flowers. Flowers do make me happy!

Please check out Patter's post as she talks more about the song and has some wonderful scripture to go along with it.

My Digital Studio was used to create this 6 X 6 page.

I am also entering this into the Word Art Wednesday Challenge.

Hope you all have a great afternoon - evening!

LNS Challenge 217/TSSC257 Monday Lunch Time Sketch

Good Monday Morning and welcome to Techno Stampers Monday Lunch Time Sketch along with our Stampin' Up! Late Night Stampers challenge.  Our LNS challenge this week is "Candy Bar Inspired."  So can you guess which candy or candy bar I chose.  My daughter guessed it right off the bat when I showed it to her.  I also used my digital studio to create the center part of the card with the bride and groom and the Mr. & Mrs.  So I guess you could say it is a hybrid.

Here is a side view of the card!

So please join us this week for our sketch at TSSC and the candy bar inspired at our LNS blog.  You will be glad you did.  Hope to see you there.

By the way, my card is for two of my favorite candies.  #1 M&M's and the other is "Mr. Goodbar." So does it remind you of either one of those. Hope so!
