Clean & Simple Card Set

I have made quite a few set of cards for our Gateway Landing Open house on Sunday and thought I would share another set with you today.  This is a set I made especially for men and I am quite happy with the way they turned out.  I actually saw this set on Pinterest and cased the layout of it because I knew it would be easy and quick - CAS - that is what I am talking about!  Narelle Jones, the person I cased, did color her images, but I did not have time, so I just left them stamped and sponged the background before stamping the image.  You can find Narelle's here!  One more thing, all of my sets contain 5 cards, so I had to add one extra and decided to add the motorcycle stamp.  So here they are!

And here they are separately!

Items Used:
Stamp Sets: Need For Speed, Motorcycle
Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Not Quite Navy

Set of Cards for Auction

Well we are wet here in Eastern NC as the rain is coming down.  But I am working, so that is OK and it would be OK even if I were not working as we need the rain.  I did want to share with you all today a set of cards I made for a fund raiser at our Gateway Landing Open House we will be having Sunday!  The only problem is I would like to make about 5 packs, so that does mean I will be busy over the rest of this week making cards.  I would like to make one set masculine, so I will see how that works out!  I will be putting these into a clear box and wrapping it with ribbon, but have not got that far as of yet.  Anyway, here is the set of cards!

As you can see, I did a Sympathy, Birthday, Thanks, Get Well, Happily ever after!  I actually used the retired set for the bottom two cards as I just love those "curvy verses" and I think it worked well with these cards.  Actually I may use the sentiments on all the cards.  I'll just have to see.  Anyway, this was pretty easy to do and I love the turn out.

Here is a little different view!

And a close up of the "Happy Birthday" one!

I used markers on the stamp to keep from using the same color all around!  And, I made all 5 of the cards in less than an hour which includes cutting out the paper, punching the border, coloring the image and stamping.  That is less than 12 minutes each.  I thought that was pretty good!

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Curvy Verses, Simply Sketched, Serene Silhouettes
Card Stock: Whisper White, Rose Red
Ink: Rose Red
Markers for coloring stamp
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch

MDS Monday Scrapbook Page for Baby Book!

I want to share with you yet another scrapbook page of my grandson for his scrapbook!  He is just the cutest and sweetest little boy for 3 months old.  I have to say the age because my almost 3 year old grandson is the cutest and sweetest "almost" 3 year old. lol  Anyway, my daughter makes sure that we get pictures each month as he turns a month older and this is his one month old photo.  So when I saw the MDS Monday sketch yesterday, I knew I had to use these pictures and they were perfect for this page.  So here is my layout and please stop by MDS Monday blog to see the design team samples and check out the others that have linked to their sketch.  They always have awesome samples along with some awesome entries!

Now can you deny just how cute and sweet he is?

LNS Challenge 225 / Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 268--TSSC268

Well it is Monday which means we have another Late Night Stampers Challenge for you along with the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  Again, this week I combined the two challenges and since the Late Night Stampers Challenge is "Party Time" where we are to create a banner, scrapbook page, invitation, or anything that shows a Party.  So I decided to create a 5 X 7 scrapbook for my granddaughter for her birthday which was in May and this is the first one I have done.  I still need to figure out how I am going to put it together.  But that always seems to work out in the end.  So here is the first page I have created for her and I used Mary Jo's sketch.

I used this photo on a 12 X 12 page for her 12 X 12 page and just loved it, but when I did this page, I absolutely love it.

My Digital Studio by Stampin Up was used to make this page along with the "Celebration Kit."

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

Another Scrapbook Page for Baby Book

Finally went back and did this page for my daughter's baby book for Michael.  I had left a page for it, but needed some photos from her.  So here it is finally.  My First Day Home!  Love His expression on the second picture.  He is checking everything out!  Of course now he is three months old and still just as inquisitive.

Welcome Home - MDS Scrapbook Page

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I am so happy to be able to share another My Digital Studio Page with you!  This one is very special to me as my Son-In-Law spent 7 months in Afghanistan last year and I was able to be there when he returned.  It was a very special moment for me as I remember those days before my husband retired from the Air Force!  The joy of them finally coming home safe!  There is no feeling like it.  So I am so happy to be able to share with you this event through scrap booking.  My inspiration for this came from the MDS Monday Sketch #17.

The first picture on the left here was my daughter running into his arms - I did not see him until she took off and then I started taking pictures which was the reason I was allowed to go. lol  Anyway, you can almost see my granddaughter as she was awaiting her turn to get a hug.  In the second photo, they finally turn loose of each other and then they look at my Granddaughter like yes now it is your turn!  Now this is where I am glad that my husband was doing the video (again the only reason he was there) because it was at that time that my camera decided not to take a photo and I missed the hug between Scott and Kyrsten.  But, it is on video, yea!!  Of course Kyrsten had made him a welcome home sign and that is the 3rd picture I have on here.  It was really a wonderful time and I again am so happy I was able to be a part of it.  Now of course we have an addition to that family and you have seen some of those pages I know!

My Digital Studio was used to capture this moment along with a free Marine digital kit from Marisal Lerin from Pixel Scrapper!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 267--TSSC267

Well here we are again on this wonderful Monday Morning with this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  If you are looking for the Late Night Stampers Challenge, it is now running for two weeks now and you can find the current challenge here!  Mary Jo has a wonderful sketch for this week and I was so excited to be able to use one of my new items!  So here is my sample for this weeks sketch!
I am going to love this stamp and the embossing folder that goes with it.  And, it just seemed to go so well with the This and That Epic Day Designer Paper.  I actually used my markers to color the stamp, calypso Coral for the flowers, Pear Pizazz for the leaves and Midnight Muse for the dots and the bird.  I do love the outcome.  Once I stamped the paper, I then put it into the Wildflower Meadow Embossing folder and embossed it, and cut it out with one of the Oval Collection Framelits.  So very easy.

Here is a side view of the card!

And, a close up of the Wildflower Meadow!

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp: Wildflower Meadow
Card Stock: Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: This and That Epic Day

The sketch I used was from the Clean&Simple sketch blog and then I saw these great colors on the CAS - Colours and Sketches Blog so I knew I had to use them.  So now this is what these two challenges helped to create!

Hymn & Scripture Challenge - Hymn # 9 - This is My Father's World

Do you every just walk outside and look at the beauty all around and just think, "What an awesome God we serve?"  I certainly do!  There are times I have taken my grandchildren outside as babies and talked to them about all the wonderful creations that God made.  I would say my favorite time of the year to do this is the late spring early summer as that is when I see the new coming out everywhere and the singing of the birds early in the morning just brings such joy to me.  I just love this time of the year.  So all of this reminded me of the Hymn that is next in Patter's Hymn and Scripture challenge, "This is My Father's World."  The great thing is, He created each and every season for us to enjoy and we all enjoy them in a different way.

Patter has a wonderful post regarding this hymn and you should definitely go over to her blog and check it out along with the others who are entering the challenge.  I have seen some wonderful samples as I have been doing this challenge.

Here is this hymn sung by Amy Grant and a beautiful Hymn!  I think you will enjoy it.

The verse I chose to go with this hymn is Psalm 33:1-3

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous!
For praise from the upright is beautiful.
Praise the Lord with the harp;
Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.
Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

That is how I feel when I see all the newness springing out! I just want to praise him and shout for joy at the newness of His creation each day.  Rejoice in the Lord!!!!

Now here is how I saw this hymn!

I used My Digital Studio Template Spring Break II for this Layout!

Now don't forget to stop by Patter's blog to check out her post!
I am also linking this to Word art Wednesday!
Have a great rest of the week!

LNS Challenge 224 & TSSC266

Good Monday Morning all my cyber friends!  Hope you are ready for a great week.  This week, Mary Jo has a wonderful sketch for you and our challenge for the week at Late Night Stampers is to go masculine, Father's Day!  So I used the TSSC 266 sketch and made this cute card for my husband using the Clockworks stamp set.  But one thing I did was to add my own sentiment by using My Digital Studio so the ink colors would match.  I then printed out the sentiment on the front and the one on the inside.  I really had fun making this card.  So here is the front of the card!

As you can see I actually embossed the clock with silver embossing powder and then cut it out.  Here is a side view of the card!

Now for the inside!  I hope he does not get too mad at me! lol

He has been looking at motorcycles lately and I am so against that, but it is totally up to him.  But I thought he could have this cute motorcycle to put on his desk at school.  Not sure it will suffice, but we will see.
