Hymn & Scripture Challenge #11 - Jesus Never Fails

What a beautiful hymn this is and the words are just what you need when you feel as though you are at the end of your rope.  Funny thing is like Patter, I have never heard this song before, but it is definitely beautiful.

JESUS NEVER FAILS! How many testimonies I could share with you of how faithful He has been to me.  In time of distress He was there and brought me through.  When I could not eat because of hurt and anguish on what to do, He was there.  And, on and on and on, which is why I chose the verse.  It just means so much to me.

Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you.  He will not fail you or forsake you.  Deuteronomy 31:6

You see, I can stand strong and courageous and not be afraid for I know that God goes before me and with me and He is my rock and my shield.  He has never left me nor forsaken me.  What a blessing that is to me.

Now here is another history lesson on the song and at the beginning of the video he sings the song.  It gives you an idea of the melody of this hymn, but there is no music!

Now on to my page!  Since there was no sheet music I could find for this page, I used a free download from "Free Vintage Digital Stamps" blog.  I searched for music sheets and that came up.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I would use it for the background of my page.  I also used the sketch over at MDS Monday Challenge and I love how it turned out.  So here it is!

Now don't forget to drop by Patter's blog and read her blog post for this challenge as he always does such a wonderful job. She is so talented and God has blessed her with a great gift.

I am also entering this into the Word Art Wednesday Challenge.

LNS Challenge 228 - Fancy Fold

Good Morning all and welcome to this weeks Late Night Stampers Challenge.  If you are looking for the Monday Lunch Time Sketch Challenge please see the post prior to this one here.  This week we will be doing fancy fold cards, so you really want to come on over and see all the great cards we have for you to look at, plus we would love for you to join us so we can see what you create.

I have created a Z fold card, but I folded mine a little different as I wanted to use my new stamp set called Backyard Basics along with the fabulous framelits that go with it.  First let's look at my card!  I have four views for you to see the whole card.  When closed it is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.

Here is how I made it:

Cut Card Stock to 5 1/2 X 9 1/4.  Score the 9 1/4 side at 4 1/4 and 7 1/4.  Fold them opposite of each other as you see in the second photo.  Then decorate as you see fit.  That is all there is to it.  So simple and love the way the flower looks popped up on this card.

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Backyard Basics (flower), Itty Bitty Banners (sentiment), Papillon Potpourri (butterflies)
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Pool Party
Designer Series Paper: This and That Epic Day
InK: Basic Grey, Pool Party
Markers for coloring
Bitty Butterfly Punch
Backyard Basics Framelits
Bitty Banners Framelits
Finishing Touches Edgelits

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to go check out the different fancy fold cards everyone has made over at our Late Night Stamper's Blog.  I know you will not be sorry!

Scrapbook page of First Theme park Rides!

Just wanted to add this right quick so I could link it to MDS Monday #23 and I am about to run out and knew I would miss it if I did not link.  So will be back tomorrow to give more of the details.  Please stop back by to see!

Okay, I got back earlier than thought and decided to finish my post.  Last week we went to Virginia to visit my daughter, my grandchildren and her husband and while we were there, we went to two amusement parks, Kings Dominion and Bush Gardens.  We love amusement parks and my 2 year old grandson, will be 3 Monday, had a blast.  His first time riding rides and he loved them.  We could not keep him off of them.  Here are 3 photos that I just loved and when I thought of all the rides, some when up and down and others went round and round so I thought that would be the perfect title.  And, this evening when I finally got a chance to look at the sketches from MDS Monday I knew I had to use this one, the reason for the quick post, but now you know the "rest of the story." lol

Hymn & Scripture Challenge #10 - Open My Eyes

Wow, I have been so busy that I am just now getting to Hymn & Scripture Challenge # 10 and I still have one more to do and then one should come out tomorrow.  Maybe I will catch up before long.  But when I saw this Hymn, I knew that it was a favorite and one that we need to sing daily, weekly, etc. Beautiful hymn and beautiful Lyrics.  Here are the Lyrics to the song!

Open my eyes, that I may see
Glimpses of truth Thou hast for me;
Place in my hands the wonderful key
That shall unclasp and set me free.

Refrain 1:
Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready my God, Thy will to see,
Open my eyes, illumine me,
Spirit divine!

Open my ears, that I may hear
Voices of truth Thou sendest clear;
And while the wave notes fall on my ear,
Everything false will disappear.

Refrain 2:
Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready my God, Thy will to see,
Open my ears, illumine me,
Spirit divine!

Open my mouth, and let me bear,
Gladly the warm truth everywhere;
Open my heart and let me prepare
Love with Thy children thus to share.

Refrain 3:
Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready my God, Thy will to see,
Open my heart, illumine me,
Spirit divine!

Isn't that just beautiful I love it and it really says all there is to say!  We need to do this every hour, every day and all year long.  If so the world would be a different place.  And that is where the idea for the page came from.  Illumine me Spirit Divine!

To hear a beautiful version of this song check out this You Tube video.

Hope you enjoyed this song and please make sure you check out Patter's post on this beautiful song!

Family Scrapbook Page - Grouping Photo Boxes

Been a little while since I posted, but wanted to share with you a page I completed last night of one of the family pictures we had taken on the beach.  We had a great time taking the pictures all except the wind was blowing kind of crazy that day.  But it was still a lot of fun.  As soon as I saw the grouping photo challenge on MDS Monday, I knew I had to try it with this photo and I am so happy with the way it turned out.  So here it is:

I have learned so many great ideas by playing along with MDS Monday.  And this was no exception.  So please check them out and learn some wonderful things to do with scrapbooking digitally.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 271--TSSC271

Happy Monday Morning to my wonderful friends.  Well my stamping is still lacking as my daughter is still with me until Wednesday Morning when she leaves bright and early.  That will definitely be a sad morning for me, but we will see her the weekend as we are keeping my granddaughter and driving up on Sunday!  So we will be excited about that.  I really hate to see my daughter go 4 1/2 hours away, but that is the call of the military.  Now I know how my mom felt except my first time away from home was across the US.  So it was a two to 3 day drive.  So I guess I am very blessed!  Now on to today's challenge!  Mary Jo's sketch is another great one for this week.  And I looked back at one of my favorite stamp sets and here is what I came up with.

I am loving this Strawberry Slush card stock and want to pull it every time I look in my stash.  Here is a side view!

And the inside!

Well when I stamped the sentiment on the inside, I messed up and had to re stamp and paste in.  I usually stamp before adhering the piece of card stock, but I guess this time, I was not thinking.  Either way, the person I give it too hopefully will not know that!  LOL

All items used are Stampin' UP!
Stamp Sets: Tea Shoppe, Blessings from Heaven
Card Stock: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Basic Black
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Black Stazon
Postage Stamp Punch
1 1/4" square punch
Adorning Accents Edgelits

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy your week!

Happy Birthday Summer Card

How cute is this?  My Son-in-laws birthday is July 15th and we are headed out of town to a couple of amusement parks which he loves.  Actually my daughter is moving this coming week to Virginia and so we will be visiting her and going to Bush Gardens and Kings Dominion.  So I thought this card was perfect for his birthday plus it goes along with this weeks theme at Late Night Stampers, Summer Showcase!  So this does showcase some of the things we can do in the Summer.  I also used the sketch from Clean & Simple this week.  How great is that?

Here is a side view of the card!

And now for the inside where I used two retired stamp sets!

Perfect for this birthday!  I held on to this roller coaster for the purpose of amusement parks which we love!

LNS Challenge 226 / Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 270--TSSC270

Good Morning Friends.  So excited to be with you today and bringing you another two challenges from our Late Night Stampers and our Monday Lunch Time Sketch!  It seems as if I have slowed down a bit as my daughter moved in with me on Monday and will be with me until the 10th of July which is when she and her husband and my two precious grandchildren move to Virginia.  To me that is miles and miles away as I have always had her close by.  Now I know 4 hours isn't much to some of you, but to me it is across the world.  I think she is having difficulty with the move also, but she knows where she needs to be and so do I.  Also, my mom has been in the hospital, so I have been spending time there which is 1 1/2 hours away.  So not much stamping for me and I am headed back up there in a few to visit with her today.  But, I did have time to put this sweet little card together yesterday after VBS (yes just one more obstacle, but worth it) finished yesterday.  What a week!!!  So here is my card that goes with both of the challenges today, LNS challenge is summer colors and products  and  of course the TSSC sketch.

Again I used the water color paper and my markets and then blended the colors with a blender pen.  Here is a side view of the card!

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: Simply Sketched (love this stamp set)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Water Color Paper, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding
Ink: Strawberry Slush
Markers
Blender Pen
Fancy Fan embossing Folder
3/8 ruffle stretch trim Pistachio Pudding

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful and blessed week!
