Sketch 347- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday and welcome to our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  My moms birthday was yesterday and I used this sketch to do a card for her.  I had been wanting to use a stamp and die I had ordered from Sweet N Sassy called "God's Purpose," but because of everything that happened the first of December, I was unable to use it.  So, I thought I would use it for my Mom's card and I love how it turned out.  What do you think?

And of course the inside had to be done also!

Isn't this just the greatest sketch.  So why not just hop on over to our Monday Lunchtime sketch and take a look, then add your sample for us.  We would love to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your week and Happy New Year!

Christmas Card for Grandkids

Good Morning and hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  Russ and I enjoyed our children and a little quite time after having our one daughter and 3 grandchildren in our home since Sunday.  And then of course with her being here the other daughter and 2 grandchildren were over quite a bit.  So you can imagine how quite it was when they finally left.  And today I am going to my moms to spend the weekend with her.

Anyway, thought I would share a card I made for my two oldest granddaughters who are 10 and 11.  I put this card in a bag with a pair of underwear and that was the first present they opened.  I have always told their moms as long as they believe in Santa, he will bring presents.  But if they stop he stops.  So when I found this cute stamp on sell last year after Christmas, I just had to buy it and they love it.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a wonderful and blessed New Year!

Sketch 345- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Good Morning everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend.  My week has been full of a lot of emotions as my brother Joe went to be with Jesus last Sunday and mom was in the hospital very sick.  I know my brother is going to have the best Christmas yet celebrating with Jesus, but I miss him so much.  He was down syndrome and so to our family he was always the baby, even though he was older than us, 1 boy and 4 girls.  He was special in every way and a child of God!  Keep us in your prayers as mom is still in the hospital and now my dad is.  He was admitted last night.

Since I have not had a lot of time to do Christmas cards, I thought I would do one through My Digital Studio and send out to everyone.  I had taken this picture along with quite a few more of my grandchildren at Thanksgiving and decided to use it.  The sketch Mary Jo did for this week's Monday Lunchtime Sketch worked out perfect.  So now all I have to do is print and send.  Here it is!

As you can see my grandson was being silly, but it is so him, that I decided to use this photo.  I am going to print on matte paper and send.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful and blessed week!

Sketch 343- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Well here we are at Monday again and what a great and different sketch Mary Jo has for us today for our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  At first I just did not know what to do and then it just seemed to come together.  I used two of my retired Christmas Sets from Stampin' Up!  I just can't seem to get rid of my Christmas Stamps and I still seem to add to them every year.  Anyway back to the sketch and my sample!  Here is what I came up with this week.

And here is a close up of the star that I cut out free hand.  Very easy as you have the shape already there.  I also sponged around the edges to give it more of a stand out look and popped it up with dimensionals.

And of course the inside I used the star confetti punch on the inside also.  I am loving that punch and can't wait to use the punched out stars in some way.

And even did a close up of Bethlehem scene.

Ok, now it is your turn to show us what you come up with for this Monday Sketch.  I can't wait to see it and make sure you check out the design team samples along with linking your sample.

Thanks so much and have a wonderful week.

Sketch 342- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Hello my friends.  What a weekend I have had.  My brother has been really sick and finally yesterday, he was admitted to the hospital with a UTI and Pneumonia.  It was my weekend to spend with Mom and while there they had to do some work on our heating system, so my husband had to empty all the closets for them to run a wire.  Well I was not at home and it was my craft room where the work needed to be done, so when I got home yesterday, I headed for the craft room to make my card for today's Monday Lunchtime Sketch and guess what?  You are right, I could not get to my desk.  So I pulled out my computer and this is what I created using my digital studio.  As soon as I can get to my desk, I plan on printing this and using it for one of my Christmas Cards.  I love it.

I used the Glitter paper kit for the Silver and gold effect.  I also used the coloring tool for the stamped images.  It was a lot of fun and if I need more than 1 card, I can print quite a few.  Makes it quick and easy.

Would love prayers for my brother.  He really needs them.

Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day and don't forget to check out the rest of the design team samples.  This is a great sketch so make sure you link up also.

Sketch 341- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday and here we are again for our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  It was another good sketch this week and of course I had to make a birthday card for my granddaughter who turned 10 on Saturday.  Just love that girl, yes I know I love them all!  Anyway, I My Digital Studio to make the card as I wanted to use one of her soccer pictures on the front.  So here it is using this weeks sketch.

Earlier this year I bought 4 of those cards you can talk into and this was my last birthday of the year to use them.  My first was in February and this is the last one.  Here is the message I printed for the inside.

She knew she was getting it and of course had to hear the message first off.  Too cute!

Ok, now it is your turn to create something with this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch and to check out the rest of the design team samples.  They certainly with inspire you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Monday!

My Paper Pumpkin October 2014

Happy Saturday Evening to you all!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  Today I was finally able to put these cute little pie boxes together for Thanksgiving.  This is from the Stampin' Up's! October Paper Pumpkin.  I just love them.  We are going to my daughter's home in Virginia for Thanksgiving and I filled these boxes full of candy for little gifts.  I thought they turned out so cute.

And here is a close up of two of them.

In the kit there was 8 boxes and actually the yarn was to make a ball, but I decided to just tie a bow.  I just liked it much better.  So, I have plenty of yarn left to make some other items.  I also made a template of the box since I saw some cute items on Pinterest when making these boxes.

Today was also my granddaughter's 10th birthday and her party was at the skating rink.  I just had to add a few photos of her.  I can't believe she is 10.  Such a sweet and witty little girl.  I just love her.  She had an 80's theme to her party and she did a good job dressing the part.  She even crimped her hair.  Sweet!!  I remember those days.

You will see her birthday card on Monday!  Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your weekend.  I plan on it.

Sketch 340- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Well  I am a little late on posting my Monday Lunchtime Sketch this week.  I had the card done on Thursday evening and then my daughter and new granddaughter and family came into town and I forgot everything else.  I even forgot to add it to the post to post Monday Morning on Mary Jo's blog.  I am so sorry Mary Jo.  Actually thought about it Monday afternoon.  But, it is a wonderful sketch and here is my sample.

And the inside of the card!

The light was a little bright and made the stamping not show up as good.  Don't forget to go over and check out this weeks sketch and join us.  I know you will be glad you did.

Have a wonderful week!

Sketch 339- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

It's time for our Monday Lunchtime sketch and yes Mary Jo has a wonderful sketch for us today.  I again used my cute little house and die.  I am loving this holiday home set.  So here is my sample for this weeks sketch.

And here is the inside.  My salutation is a little off center, but I am ok with that.  It gives it character as my daughter says.

And I am using some old paper that I had laying around and just embossed Santa and the sleigh on the designer paper.  Here is a close up.

Now it is your turn to show us what you can do with Mary Jo's sketch and check out the rest of the design team samples for some inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by.

Adding to Baby Book - 11 months

Happy Thursday all!  This last week and a half has been a whirlwind of emotions for our family.  Last Monday, October 20th at 1:45 am our 5th grandchild was born, a little girl weighing 7lb 1oz and she was absolutely beautiful.  That was such a blessing and such a joy.  Of course I was on my way to Virginia at the time of her birth and we finally arrived and saw our little Ansley Grace at about 4:45 am.  Yes we drove all night and it was worth it.  She is doing wonderful and so is our daughter.  I will be sharing a few photo's at the end of this post of our sweet little granddaughter.

Then on Wednesday, October 22nd we get a call that my husband's brother had a farm accident and he was killed.  It was such a shock and we are still dealing with the shock of that.  I must say though that we know he is celebrating up in heaven.  He was such a great husband, father and brother, so please continue to pray for our family.

Well I am trying to get the rest of my grandson's baby book finished as now I need to start on Ansley's book, so I thought I would share his 11 month page with you.  One more page to share and his book will be complete.

Isn't he just the cutest little boy!  Now he has a little competition with his little sister.  Here are a few shots I took of our sweet baby!

With Big Sister!  She was so excited.

With Big Brother!  He did not want to let her go.

Coming Home!  How cute is that?

What a blessing in the midst of such sadness!  She is what kept us smiling.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you all have a blessed and wonderful rest of the week.

Sketch 338- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday and welcome to another week of our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  I don't usually do square cards, but I decided to do this one square for the sketch and I always do them in a 4 1/14 square as I can use a regular envelope for them.  And, I really did like this sketch and loved the way it looked.  I also used some retired stampin up designer paper that I just love and brought the colors together beautifully.  So here it is.

And I thought I would let you see the tree as a close up.  I used sponge daubers to add the ink to the stamp.

As you can see, I tried not to add too much color as the leaves are falling off and I wanted the actual limbs to come through.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't miss out on seeing what the rest of the design team has come up with.  I know you will love them and want to join in.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch 337- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Welcome to our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a great week.  I decided to use one of the stamps I purchased last year called Joyful Christmas.  I loved the embossing on velum and coloring it in from the back.  So that is what I did with this one.  I embossed it in gold and then colored it in from the back, cut it out and adhered to the card.  It was hard to get a good photo with the all the gold, but I finally got one by laying the card flat and shooting down.

I also added some of the striped gold velum to the inside of the card and embossed the message in gold also.  Still hard to get the gold to be the right color.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to stop by and check out the rest of the design team samples.  I know you will love them and then show us what you created from the Monday Lunchtime sketch.  I can't wait to see it.

Wall Art for Baby's Room

As I have written in some of my past post, I am expecting my 3rd granddaughter at anytime.  Actually she is due next week, so I was rushing to get the canvases done for the baby room.  My daughter just finished getting it all together this past weekend, so I am not that far behind.  I finished last night and will take with me to Virginia when I get the call.  As you can imagine my phone is never far from my side. lol

So here are all four of the canvases together.  The "A" is for Ansley.

And to get a better view here they are separately except for one flower as they are pretty much the same.

I actually using one of my Stampin' Up! markers did the chevron pattern on the canvas.  And, I made the little roses on the corners of the "A" and the saying with the Originals Flower Spiral Bigz Die from Stampin' Up!  I used whisper white paper and once rolled, I then sponged the edges, and then smashed the flower down.  Love it.  The saying I got from a little book and then put it together using "My Digital Studio," printed it out on cardstock, cut the frame out and adhered to the canvas.  Easy!

I will say that Pinterest helped with the ideas of the "A" and the flower in the center of the canvas.  I love Pinterest!

Thanks for stopping by today and let me know what you think.

Sketch 336- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Hello all.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Now it is time for our Monday Lunchtime Sketch and I am ready with one of my favorite stamp sets so far.  I have only used this one a couple of time, but I am growing to love it.  It is called Holiday Home from Stampin' Up! and it also has framelits of the little homes to go along with the stamp set.  Love that!

So without further ado, here is my sample for this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch.

I actually sponged the top of the scene with midnight muse ink, left the bottom white, stamped all the images except the house, put a little of white on the trees, added dazzling details (like glitter glue), then stamped the house on a cardstock by itself, colored and then using the framelits cut it out.  Easy, easy!  I used dimensionals to adhere the house.

Here is a close up and still don't give you the glitter effect it has.

And yes, the inside is complete.  I used an old stamp set on the inside called City of David.

OK, now it is your turn to show us what you come up with by using our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  For more inspiration check out our design team's samples.

I am also adding this to the Word Art Wednesday, Anything goes challenge.

Enjoy your Monday!

Adding to Baby Book - 10 Mths

Well Happy Thursday everyone.  I have had some more pages completed for my grandson's baby book, but been so busy I have not had time to post.  So I thought I better get the last few pages complete before I start on my soon coming granddaughter's book.  She is due to arrive on October 24th, so you know what that means.  Get everything else done so I can work on her for a while and then continue on my other 4 grandchildren.  I just love them all.  So anyway here is the 10 Month Page for my sweet grandson who is now 19 months old and just a sweetie pie that gets into everything!!!!

I had to do a Christmas page for this one since he was 10 months on Christmas day and yes he was already running around like a pro.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Sketch 335- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

It is time for our Monday Lunchtime Sketch again.  Hope you played along last week and looking forward to you playing along this week.  I am so excited about our sketch this week and I know you will be also.  So here is my sample for this week.

I just love how this card turned out as I used the Wonderfall stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I have had it a long time along with the die that comes with it, but this is the first time I have used it this year.  Why have I not thought about this before, stamping the stamp and then putting the cut out die on top of it.  Just adds a little more dimension to the leaf.

And I even added the left over paper from the Woodgrain embossing folder to the inside, along with another acorn.  How cute is that?

Now I can write a sweet note at the top and still have a cute inside.  Love, love this.

Hope you will join us today for our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  And, don't forget to check out the design team samples to get some more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch 334- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Welcome to our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  Last week we had a shower for a fellow employee who had just adopted a little girl.  So in trying to decide the card to do for her, I decided to go with this one stamp set from Stampin Up called Baby We've Grown and also needed a sample for this weeks sketch.  So this is what I came up with and what a easy and wonderful sketch for this card!

Isn't this so cute?  I was not happy with the coloring, but I made it the night before I needed it, so it had to do.  Here is the inside of the card.  3 of us went together and got a gift card, so we all signed the card.

I was unable to go to the shower as I left early to head to mama's for the weekend, so I don't know what she thought of the card.  And, my brother is not doing well, so please pray that God will touch him.  It is really worrying my mom and I know it is hard for her to see him going down hill so fast.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you go by and check out the sketch and the other design team samples.  Have a wonderful week!

Forest Silohuette #3

Happy, Happy Friday everyone!  So excited it is Friday.  I am actually headed to my mom's this afternoon to spend the weekend with her and my brother.  My brother has been back in the hospital and was released yesterday, so I am excited about that.

Anyway, here is my last card I made this week using the new set from Sweet n' Sassy that I got a week ago.  I just love it.  So what do you think?

And if you would like to see more of these, you can see some of the samples that have been added by going to this post.  Korin is a wonderful Christian woman and I love looking at all the stamps Sweet n' Sassy has along with a wonderful design team.  I think you will also.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Forest Silhouettes # 2 - Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday everyone!  I am actually sharing the first card I made with the Sweet N' Sassy Forest Silhouettes stamp set and dies.  This one was actually inspired by another card I saw on Pinterest, just a little different, but I loved the whole framed effect with actually no frame.  I just used my square die to cut out a template, placed it over the white card stock and then started sponging the sky and ending with the green.  The grass was done by using my black marker.  I did add the bird from one of my old SU stamp sets, Elementary Elegance.  I think it was a sale-a-bration stamp set, but I love that set also.  This one will be going to my brother-in-law for his birthday next week as he is a outdoors man for sure.

Here is a close up of the sponging.  I did use a scallop circle as a template in doing the sky and clouds.  The only pop up I have is the deer.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Thursday!

Wetlands Sympathy Card

Yesterday while talking to some of the girls I work with, I decided to do a 5x7 sympathy card for the College I work in so everyone could sign it.  So last night I created this clean and simple card.  I did a little sponging on this one also to give the birds a pool of water to walk in.  Now how clean an simple is this.  Another quick card.  I kind of saw one with just one row of birds on it in Pinterest while going out to eat with my husband, but I decided to put them all the way across once I started the card.  I also used this old sympathy set I had called "close as a memory."  Always have loved this stamp set.  I know this is short and sweet today, but trying to get it all done before I leave for work.

Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day today.

Sweet n' Sassy Forest Silhouettes

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Well I got a new stamp set from Sweet N' Sassy and the die cuts that match called Forest Silhouettes and all I can say is, "I love them."  I have already made three cards and can see using them for Christmas and other things.  You can find the set here.

My Son-in-law just lost his grandfather on Saturday and I am sending this one to him.  Made it especially for him tonight along with another friend of mine lost her Step Son on Friday.  They are out of town right now, but when they return, I will be giving them one which you will see tomorrow.

Anyway, here is the one I am sending my son-in-law.

I sponged the sky and the grass onto whisper white card stock and then added the trees which are part of the set.  I then used the die for the moose and cut it out from basic black.  Popped it up to give some dimension and it is done.  So quick and easy, but looks a lot more complicated than it is.  I made it in less than 10 minutes.  Yes, 10 minutes.  You have to remember I made 2 cards in 30 minutes and that was getting everything out and ready.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday.

Sketch 331- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

What does Monday bring, this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch!  Welcome everyone to this weeks sketch.  This one is a little different and I had to think on what to use, but was happy with the outcome.  Anytime I can use up some of my Designer paper, I am in for the count.  Why, I have tons of it and have purchased none this year because I am trying to use up all my paper.  So if you are looking to use up some of your paper, this is the perfect sketch.  So without further ado, here is my sample for this weeks sketch challenge.

And yes, I added some of the paper to the inside to give it a little color also.

Now, I know you want to join us this week for our Monday Lunchtime sketch and don't forget to check out the rest of the design team samples.

Have a wonderful Monday!
