LNS Challenge 243/Sketch 303- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone.  Hope your weekend was a blessing and you have a wonderful start to the week.  And, so to start this week, I have a card for you that brings back a lot of early memories in stamping.  Why you ask?  Well I am a punch lover and probably have every punch that Stampin' Up! has made except maybe one or two.  Regardless the challenge this week with the Late Night Stampers is to do some punch art.  So I again have combined the two challenges.  So needless to say, I used the Monday Lunchtime Sketch, which was great for the punch art I used.  So here you go!

To make the ice cream sundae, I used the following: 2 1/2" Circle punch for the bowl and cut it in half.  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch for the base of the bowl and cut it in half.  For the ice cream I used the 1 3/8" scallop punch.  And for the cherry on top, I used the 1/4" punch and put a nick in it and cut a piece of black card stock for the stem.  Isn't it just the cutest.  For the sprinkles I used the stamp from Create a cupcake stamp set.

And I wanted you to see that I popped up every layer so here is the side view.

And of course had to work on the inside and used the sprinkles stamp at the bottom!

Hope you enjoyed this card and hope you stop by and check out our DT samples at LNS and Monday Lunch Time Sketch.

Have a great week!

Clean and Simple with Washi Tape

Happy Tuesday!  This weeks Clean and Simple sketch was just what I needed to be able to bring out my washi tape and start using it.  As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew what I wanted to do.  Here is the sketch.

Now here is my sample!

Isn't that so easy.  Just cut some washi tape and go for it.  I used the Gigham Garden Washi tape by Stampin' Up!  And I also used a strip of it on the inside.  The verse is from the Our Daily Bread Designs, Scripture series 1.  Love that set.

Just wanted to add something to the inside.

I also used Stampin' Up!'s White Shimmer paper which is a little thicker card stock and holds up so well as a one layer card.  Check this picture out to see just how much it shimmers.

Well that is all for today and hope you have a wonderful day!  Blessings to all my dear friends out there.

Sketch 302- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone and hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I did some cleaning in my craft room, but before I finished, I had to make this card for this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  My grandson will be one next week and this coming Saturday we are going to Virginia for his birthday party.  I had purchased some of these recordable cards from the Stampin' Up! Clearance rack (actually 4 since I  have 4 grandchildren) and this is the first time decorating them.  I really like the way it turned out.  So now you can see what they look like decorated.

I really did like Mary Jo's sketch this week and knew I would use this cup cake builder punch along with the stamp set to do this card.  I also used the Birthday Basics designer paper and the banners framelits.  Now the Happy Birthday embossing folder I used is one of my first and oldest and it was one I purchased the day I got my cuddlebug years ago before Stampin' Up! started selling the embossing folders.  But I had to use it on this card since it was a first birthday.

Now for the inside of the card!

I used the Memorable Moments to say Happy 1st Birthday, and I also used the #1 as the candle on the front of the card.  And as my dear friend Nancy says, I fussy cut the #1 out and popped it up a little.  Love that Nancy!!!  So now my husband and I need to record message on here for my grandson.  Hopefully he will be able to keep it for a long while.

Now don't forget to stop by Mary Jo's blog and check out the other DT samples along with hers.  Hope you have a wonderful and blessed week.

Clean & Simple Banner

Happy Tuesday to you!  I had a few moments last night and saw the sketch from Clean & Simple  Sketch and just had to use my banners framelits and the Perfect Pennant stamp set.  It was perfect for this set.  Also, I have a friend that is going through some tough times and thought this was the perfect sentiment for the card.  I also used a scripture on the inside from Our Daily Bread Designs.  It just seemed to add the final touch to the card.

Here is the inside.

When all else seems to be going wrong, I can always depend on God and how he will bring rest to my soul.  He has been my fortress through all these last two months with my brother and mother.  When my sister's and I thought we could not do any more, God showed us just how strong we were with him.  I am so thankful to be able to lean on Him.

All items are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
Stamp sets: Papillon Potpourri, Perfect Pennants, ODBD Scripture series 4
Card Stock: Brown Sugar, Crisp cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Very Vanilla, Coastal Cabana
Ink: Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe
Butterfly Punches
Chevron Textured Impressions Folder
Banners Framelits

I am entering this into the Word Art Wednesday.
