Sketch 308- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday to all of you.  Hope your weekend was just wonderful.  I had a goo weekend with some visitors on Saturday which was nice.  So now on to our sketch this week.

Loved the sketch Mary Jo has for us this week at Techno Stamper, but took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with it.  I finally came up with this using some of the latest techniques I had seen, like water color and spritzing the ink on.  Took me a while to decide I liked it as I almost did a new and different card.  I guess if time had not gotten in the way, I would have.  But the more I look at it the better I like it.  So here it is and please let me know what you think!

And, another view of the card!

My First Box Card

Well good Saturday Morning to you! Hope all is well with you and your day has started out just right!  I thought I would share my first box card with you today that I did on Thursday evening while my husband was at school doing an open house.  I am also linking this to our challenge this week at LNS as the challenge is Spring has Sprung and I thought this would be perfect.  I did use some retired Designer Paper, but it was my first and I did not want to mess up my not retired paper.  It actually turned out perfect I think.  I found the tutorial on Pinterest from Nancy Amato and followed it to a T!  Love tutorials that are so detailed.  Thanks Nancy and you can find the tutotial here!

Here is another view of the box card and yes it does fit in a medium size envelope.  Perfect for mailing to that special person.

And one more view just for kicks!

1st Birthday Scrapbook!

Good Friday Morning!  I am not going to say a lot for this post because I have so many pages to share with you.  Still have not decided if I will do a 6X6 book or an 8X8 book, but once I decide that, I will print them all out (reason for so many white pages, saves on ink) and put them in his book.  So here are all the pages I created using the Celebrate kit in My Digital Studio.

Did you notice I threw papa in there at the end?  Of course I was taking the pictures so not a picture of Grammy in this book.  I may have to put one in the book just for him though.

Hope your weekend is joyful!

Adding to Baby Book!

I thought I would share with you the last 3 pages I have done for my grandson's scrapbook.  It is from birth to 12 months or 1 year and he turned a year this pas February.  So I have a few more pages to go.  He is so funny and so happy in all his photos, mostly!  For all of them, I used sketches from MDS Monday Sketch.  Love that place and am actually getting one of them into a current posting.  That is good for me lately.

I am going to go backwards here.  This is the current sketch challenge you can still play and you can find the sketch here!

In this sketch you were also to add layering.  So I used two layers of the embellishments from Memory Milestones.  Isn't it the best.

Now here he is at 8 months.  My daughter took a lot of photos of this one which was perfect for this sketch.  You can find this sketch and challenge here, but it is already closed.

I used the On Film Kit for this one.

And now for the seven month page.  This one is a little different, but I loved it and had to use it.  You can find this sketch here.

How cute is this?  I just loved the sketch and had to use it.

Any way, hope you enjoyed todays pages and thanks so much for stopping by.

Playing with Circle Thinlits and Gold Velum

Hi everyone!  Here I am again with another post from a card I started last week and finished on Saturday.  I had the Circle Thinlits for a while and just got my gold velum, so I had to pull them out and play.  Here it is!  Did not like the light on it, but that is what you get when you have rain, rain, rain!

I added an extra layer to the side and also added some gold washi tape to the bottom!

This is a photo of it laid out more flat and the light shining on it better!

Clean & Simple Make Over

I love doing the clean and simple challenge because I can get a card done in just a matter of minutes.  Well this weekend as I was looking at the sketch, I decided to do a sympathy card and here is what I came up with.

But when I was finished with it, I knew exactly what it was missing and decided to do a redo.  It is so funny how just adding the black card stock makes a big difference.

And for this one, I just used the smaller butterflies that were left.

And yes, I did the inside for both cards.

I think I did the sentiment a little crooked, but it is all good.

Used the stamp set Love and Sympathy with this card!  Love using all on the stamps on one card.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Monday and hope you are all having a good start to your day.  I am actually posting this on Sunday evening and went to Medac in the afternoon and have a sinus and ear infection.  So hope my day is starting better than my Sunday.

I am combining my challenges again today.  Our LNS Challenge is "Spring has Sprung," which means just show us something spring related in whatever you create.  Well I decided to go spring with flowers and used Monday's Lunchtime Sketch to do this.  So here is my sample for both challenges.

And of course I did the inside also.

I love doing the inside.  It just finishes the card so perfectly.

Clean and Simple - Flower Shop

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start this post off with the card itself since I was so happy with the outcome.  I actually used the sketch from Clean and Simple blog.  It was one of those times that I knew even before I went to get the paper what I wanted to do and it turned out even better than I thought.  This will go to someone special who needs to be uplifted today.

Here is a side view of the card.  Color was not quite right, but you can see that I stamped the image on the white 3 times and then stamped it again on another white piece and then punched it out with the punch that goes with this set, and of course popped it up with a dimensional.

Now I also had to work on the inside some, so I used another stamp from this set for the inside.

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: Flower Shop, Blessings from Heaven
Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green (leaves)
Ink: Stazon Black, Primrose Petals
Pansy Punch
Bird Punch (leaves)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.

I am also linking this to Word Art Wednesday!

Sketch 306- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone!  Had my daughter home this weekend and had a blast with my grandson.  What a sweetie he is and definitely a 1 year old for sure.  Got a lot of hugs and kisses which were just wonderful.  Nothing like being a Grammy!!!!

Well I just love the sketch that Mary Jo has given us this week to work on.  I think you will also.  So here is my sample for this weeks sketch.

I did use the Paper Piecing Technique on this card.  I stamped the stamp onto designer series paper and then cut it out.  I love how each vase is just a little different which makes each one unique.  And, I also love this designer series paper called "Venetian Romance."  And, this stamp set, "Vivid Vases," is just beautiful.  There is so many different ways to use this stamp set.

Here is a side view of the card!

You can see the dimension of the layers of the card.

Now don't forget to stop by Mary Jo's blog today and check out all of the DT team's samples.  There are some beautiful samples over there.

Well thanks for stopping by today and hope your day is filled with many blessings.

Scallop Tag Punch and By the Tide - Fun!

We made a card in our last stamp club meeting using the Scallop Tag Punch and I just loved it.  So of course checked out Pinterest and saw all thee cards you can make using the Scallop Tag punch and I found this video which was great to follow.  Here is the direct link to u-tube!  But the first time I made it, I knew that I wanted to use the stamp set By the Tide and make it look something like an aquarium.  So here is what I came up with.

I just love it!  And here it is opened up!

I thought it would be a great note card or an encouraging card.

Stamp Set: By the Tide
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pool Party, Midnight Muse
Ink: Midnight Muse, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay
Midnight Muse Ribbon
Oval Framelits
Delicate Designs Embossing Folders

LNS Challenge 244/Sketch 305- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Good Morning all and hope your weekend was great!  I spent the weekend with my mom and brother and Mom is doing so good.  My brother is better, but very emotional at times as his dementia is beginning to confuse him a lot.  And, being down syndrome does not help.  But I know God is in control and I am trusting him.

Now on to our challenge this week at Late Night Stampers and our Monday Lunch Time Sketch.

The LNS Challenge this week is "elements that are all about wind."  Now I can't wait to see what you come of with on that one.  And of course I combined my two challenges and used Mary Jo's Monday Lunch Time sketch.  I just loved the sketch and here is what I came up with.

Now this is a hybrid card as I used My Digital Studio for everything under the white banner except the base.  I sized it on the paper as 4 X 5 1/4 so when I cut it out it would fit the base of my card.  I also printed the Kite on the same paper and cut it out and popped it up on the white embossed banner.  The thinking of you sentiment came from embellished events stamp set.  The MDS kit I used for the hybrid part is called New Heights.  Lots of great elements in the kit for this challenge at LNS.  Seem to always go to My Digital Studio when I need something different.

Here is a side view of the card.

Doesn't it look like the banner underneath is popped up?  Yet it is part of the Hybrid part which I printed out.  That is where the drop shadow comes into play.  Gives it a little bit of dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and don't forget to stop by our Late Night Stampers Blog and Our Monday Lunch Time Sketch blog to see what the DT has in store for you!  Beautiful samples.

Hope you will join us this week!

Clean & Simple Birthday

Happy HUMP Day everyone!  I wanted to share my card for the Clean & Simple Challenge this week.  I really liked their sketch and I knew it would be a quick card so quick it was and used some of my scraps that have been laying around.  I kind of went a little crooked on the placement of the designer paper, but it is still a fund and cute card.  Sorry about the color.

Now the inside is also fun!

I decided to use some of my old Designer Paper as I have drawers full of it.  I think we all do.

Stamp Sets: Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired), Remembering Your Birthday, Perfect Pennants
Card Stock: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise
Designer Series Paper: Big Top Birthday (retired)
Oval Framelits
Corner Rounder Punch (is that what it is called):)
Markers

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Sketch 304- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I had a very nice weekend.  This past Saturday we celebrated by brother's 64th birthday and to be honest I was unsure he would still be here with us, but God saw the big picture.  He is still very weak, but I think he had fun.  I actually stayed Saturday Night with Mama and Joe and he was wore out.  I am sharing a photo of him a little farther down in the post.  But for now let's look at the card I created for this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch and the card I gave my brother for his birthday.

Here is the inside of the card!

I used Our Daily Bread designs on the inside cover because I thought this verse was so appropriate for his birthday card.

Here are a few pictures of Joe on his birthday! Yes the first one includes me and I am not sure what he is saying here, but he seemed happy.

Here he is blowing out his candles.  No we did not put 64 on there as I am not sure any of us could have blown out 64!!!!

And eating his cake!

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you are very blessed as we have been.

And, don't forget to stop by Mary Jo's blog and check out all the samples from our DT team.

I am also linking this to the Word Art Wednesday challenge.
