Sketch 334- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Welcome to our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  Last week we had a shower for a fellow employee who had just adopted a little girl.  So in trying to decide the card to do for her, I decided to go with this one stamp set from Stampin Up called Baby We've Grown and also needed a sample for this weeks sketch.  So this is what I came up with and what a easy and wonderful sketch for this card!

Isn't this so cute?  I was not happy with the coloring, but I made it the night before I needed it, so it had to do.  Here is the inside of the card.  3 of us went together and got a gift card, so we all signed the card.

I was unable to go to the shower as I left early to head to mama's for the weekend, so I don't know what she thought of the card.  And, my brother is not doing well, so please pray that God will touch him.  It is really worrying my mom and I know it is hard for her to see him going down hill so fast.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you go by and check out the sketch and the other design team samples.  Have a wonderful week!

Forest Silohuette #3

Happy, Happy Friday everyone!  So excited it is Friday.  I am actually headed to my mom's this afternoon to spend the weekend with her and my brother.  My brother has been back in the hospital and was released yesterday, so I am excited about that.

Anyway, here is my last card I made this week using the new set from Sweet n' Sassy that I got a week ago.  I just love it.  So what do you think?

And if you would like to see more of these, you can see some of the samples that have been added by going to this post.  Korin is a wonderful Christian woman and I love looking at all the stamps Sweet n' Sassy has along with a wonderful design team.  I think you will also.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Forest Silhouettes # 2 - Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday everyone!  I am actually sharing the first card I made with the Sweet N' Sassy Forest Silhouettes stamp set and dies.  This one was actually inspired by another card I saw on Pinterest, just a little different, but I loved the whole framed effect with actually no frame.  I just used my square die to cut out a template, placed it over the white card stock and then started sponging the sky and ending with the green.  The grass was done by using my black marker.  I did add the bird from one of my old SU stamp sets, Elementary Elegance.  I think it was a sale-a-bration stamp set, but I love that set also.  This one will be going to my brother-in-law for his birthday next week as he is a outdoors man for sure.

Here is a close up of the sponging.  I did use a scallop circle as a template in doing the sky and clouds.  The only pop up I have is the deer.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Thursday!

Wetlands Sympathy Card

Yesterday while talking to some of the girls I work with, I decided to do a 5x7 sympathy card for the College I work in so everyone could sign it.  So last night I created this clean and simple card.  I did a little sponging on this one also to give the birds a pool of water to walk in.  Now how clean an simple is this.  Another quick card.  I kind of saw one with just one row of birds on it in Pinterest while going out to eat with my husband, but I decided to put them all the way across once I started the card.  I also used this old sympathy set I had called "close as a memory."  Always have loved this stamp set.  I know this is short and sweet today, but trying to get it all done before I leave for work.

Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day today.

Sweet n' Sassy Forest Silhouettes

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Well I got a new stamp set from Sweet N' Sassy and the die cuts that match called Forest Silhouettes and all I can say is, "I love them."  I have already made three cards and can see using them for Christmas and other things.  You can find the set here.

My Son-in-law just lost his grandfather on Saturday and I am sending this one to him.  Made it especially for him tonight along with another friend of mine lost her Step Son on Friday.  They are out of town right now, but when they return, I will be giving them one which you will see tomorrow.

Anyway, here is the one I am sending my son-in-law.

I sponged the sky and the grass onto whisper white card stock and then added the trees which are part of the set.  I then used the die for the moose and cut it out from basic black.  Popped it up to give some dimension and it is done.  So quick and easy, but looks a lot more complicated than it is.  I made it in less than 10 minutes.  Yes, 10 minutes.  You have to remember I made 2 cards in 30 minutes and that was getting everything out and ready.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday.

Sketch 331- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

What does Monday bring, this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch!  Welcome everyone to this weeks sketch.  This one is a little different and I had to think on what to use, but was happy with the outcome.  Anytime I can use up some of my Designer paper, I am in for the count.  Why, I have tons of it and have purchased none this year because I am trying to use up all my paper.  So if you are looking to use up some of your paper, this is the perfect sketch.  So without further ado, here is my sample for this weeks sketch challenge.

And yes, I added some of the paper to the inside to give it a little color also.

Now, I know you want to join us this week for our Monday Lunchtime sketch and don't forget to check out the rest of the design team samples.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Holiday Homes - Happy New Home

What a wonderful early Sunday Morning.  I made this card on Friday night and absolutely love it.  It just makes me happy.  When I saw this stamp set in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog I just knew It would be my first purchase and I am so glad it was. This card was actually inspired by this weeks Clean & Simple Challenge sketch and was suppose to have a lot more houses, but once I colored these three, I decided that was it.  I am still going to link to the challenge as it was my inspiration.  Now the fence and grass die I have had for a couple of years and it is a Sweet & Sassy die.  I just love this die set but don't use it very often, but I knew it needed to be on this card.  OK, so here is the card.  Don't you just love it.

And, I used the grass die of the set on the inside of the card!

So hope you enjoyed my Sunday post this week.  Hope your Sunday is filled with joy and love.

From my house to yours, have a great day!

Sketch 332- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Welcome to our Monday Lunchtime Sketch this week.  Hope you had a wonderful weekend.  My daughter was in town and we did a little shopping for our new addition due October 24th.  This may be out last time seeing her prior to the call that she is in labor and then of course off I will be to Virginia.  I am so excited.  Oh, that's right, I am suppose to be talking about this weeks sketch.  It don't take much to get me off track.  So without further a due, here is my sample for this weeks sketch challenge.

I decided to go Christmas as I need to get my cards together.  I send out about 50 plus and usually everyone gets a different card.  It just makes me do more crafting than trying to do them all the same.  There are times I like one well enough to make about 6 more, but that is about my max.

Anyway, I sure hope you will check out the rest of the design team samples and join us this week for our Monday Lunchtime sketch.

Have a great week.

Clean & Simple Sketch 306

As you can see, I had fun this past weekend.  Got a lot accomplished and love being able to post a few extra days this week.  This is one I did for the Clean and Simple Sketch this week.  It really was quick and easy.  So if you love easy, this is the sketch for you.

I really am trying to use up all my old paper as I have determined not to buy new until I have at least gone halfway through my stash.  We will see how far that gets me.  Now I did order some Christmas paper as I finished what I had last year and need more for this year.

Here is the inside of the card!

Just a little flower to give it color.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day.

MDS Monday Sketch 80

Hi everyone.  It has been so long since I shared a scrapbook page with you, but with my family situation with my mom, brother and dad, I just really have not had the time.  I am working on scrapbooking my Alaska trip and will be sharing some of those with you, but for now I did this page for my grandson's album of his first soccer game.  He was so cute and the smallest on the team.  He just turned 4 in July and the others are getting ready to turn 5, so they have a year on him.  But anyway, here it is.

I actually used the sketch from last weeks MDS Monday Sketch, but it has already closed, so I could not link it.  But that is OK, as it was just perfect for this layout.  Here are a few other pictures that I thought were cute.  Russ and I got there about 3 minutes after the game had started and he stopped and had to wave and say hey Grammy and Papa!  We just laughed.  It was a little blurred as I took it quick.

Then he had to wave at mommy and daddy again.

And just waiting to start again.

And of course getting his snack at the end of the game.

See how red he is.  Poor thing played the whole game and he was tuckered out!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful evening.

Sketch 331- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Here we are again with this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  Now I must say, I had a lot of fun with this sketch and hope you like the outcome as much as I did.  I used the Wetlands stamp set by SU and the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper which I love.  So there was no sponging on this one (there was a little sponging on the white paper with the wood stamp to give it a little antique look), just a little stamping.  So here you go.

What do you think?  I did use the blendabilities on the goose and of course I forget you don't have to go to the edge, but I still love the look of this.

Here is the inside of the card!

Can you see where I dropped the stamp on the top.  I think it is going to stay this way.  Don't look that bad to me.  As my daughter would say, "that's what gives it the homemade look."  I love it!

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the rest of the design team samples and please play along.  I know you will love this sketch.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Apothecary Art and Blendabilities

Happy Sunday!  Thought I would make this quick post before I head out to church.  Played a little more yesterday and am trying to use some stamp sets I just have on my shelves.  Don't know why I keep ordering as I have more than I can ever use.  Lord help me!  Anyway, I used my Apothecary Stamp set yesterday and used the blendabilities to color in.  I am getting better.  See for yourself.

Here is a close up and yes, I need more practice, but I am getting better.

As you can see, I used some of my wonderful thinlits and embossing folders I haven't used in a while either and why I don't know, but I do love them.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Love Serene Silhouettes and Sponging

Happy Saturday everyone.  As some of you know my husband is part of the coaching team where he teaches and this time of the year my Friday Nights are free.  No husband, no responsibilities.  So when I can I spend that time stamping and love it.  Well last night was one of those nights and I would like to share with you a card I made using the Serene Silhouettes from SU and a sponge dauber and ink.  Love doing these scene type cards with a Silhouette stamp.  So here it is.

This is a pretty easy card as I just sponged and stamped.  Used the square thinlits to make a frame and it was all done.  Here is the masterpiece (lol) up close.

I used Island Indigo for the sky part and crushed curry for the bottom.  So, so easy.

Hope you enjoyed my post today and please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

August 2014 Paper Pumpkin Kit

Another Tuesday post!  WOW is what you are thinking, right?  Anyway, I have spent the last two weekends with my Mom and brother, so not much time for crafting which is OK because I loved being with them.  So got back Sunday and spent the afternoon by the pool with my daughter and grandchildren.  So yesterday being a holiday, I had a blast playing with "My Paper Pumpkin" kit.  There was extra stuff and you know I had to use it all.  So I am going to share with you what I did with it.  First, this is what the directions said to do, so I did just that with the first 4 cards.  It came with the punched out banners and a stamp set with the four sentiments you see below along with a dot.  How great is that?

With this kit you got four of the original cards and 4 envelopes.  But, the Hello, Smile, etc. you got an additional 4.  I will show you what I did with those a little later in the post.  Now the kit also came with smaller cards and little hearts and stars.  So here is how to make them by the directions.

You also got 4 of the cards and 4 envelopes.  Since I don't use that many smaller cards, I used the actual card on the following two cards and did not fold them.  I decided to use my teeny tiny wishes stamp set and make them baby cards.  I love the outcome.

Now here is the small card up against the normal size card we make just to show you the size difference.

Loving this paper pumpkin.  And now to show you what I did with the rest of the peices.  And, I made envelopes to match the designer paper I used.

So what do you think?  I am so happy with these and helps to add to my stock of cards to give to Gateway Landing to help in their ministry of helping men with life controlling issues using a faith based ministry.  Wonderful ministry for those who would like to help out if you are looking for a mission or ministry to give to.

Anyway, Hope you enjoyed my post and hope you have a wonderful and blessed Tuesday.

Sketch 330- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Hello all and welcome to our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  Mary Jo has a wonderful sketch for us today and I decided to go Masculine again.  Seems like my last few have been masculine cards, but that is OK, as I need more and more of them.  So here is what I have created for you today.

Now it seems lately that most of my cards have been Clean and Simple, but this one had layers and no way to do the clean and simple.  So if you love layers, this is the card for you.  I kind of miss all of those layers and got to use a lot of scraps in my paper stash.  That is one good thing about layers.

So now it is your turn to show us what you have.  Check out the design team samples and then link your sample up.  We would love to see what you have come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.
