Sketch 361- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Hello all and welcome to this bi-weekly Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  Yes we have gone to bi-weekly so now you have two weeks to join in our sketch challenge and I just know you will want to join in with this one.  I just love the simplicity of it, yet there is so much you can do with it.  So here is this weeks sketch.

I know you think I am going to use my butterflies as I just love them, but no here is my sample for this weeks sketch.

I have always loved these little houses even though they were in the Christmas catalog for Stampin' Up!  Of course you can use them anytime of year and when I saw them as I was going through my stamps deciding what to use for this challenge, this set and the dies just popped out at me.  So there you have it.

Hope you have enjoyed stopping by and please make sure you stop by and check out the design team samples as they are wonderful and each one so different.  Then get busy and make your sample and link up at the bottom of the post.

Enjoy your week!

{Glory Art} Scripture Challenge #7, Anxious

Happy Sunday everyone!  It has been a while since I have posted and life is busy, but I am relying on the Lord to keep me and show me the ways I need to go.

When I saw the post last week from Patter on what our Glory Art Challenge was this week, I knew already the verses I would use as this verse has been my go too for years.

I will tell you a quick testimony that will show you why I chose Philippians 4:6-7, and then I will share the verse with you.  As you know worry can consume us if we allow it too, and I allowed it to consume me for quite some time in my life.  Then I saw this book that Joyce Meyer had wrote called, "Battlefield of the Mind."  Her go to scripture in this book was Philippians 4:6-7.  He main message in the book was "if you repeat something long enough and pray for God's help, you begin to believe it."  So I repeated this verse every time I became anxious or woke up worried about something (it caused a lot of sleepless nights) and then I would pray.  Honestly within months, it did take some time, I started sleeping all night and things started to change in my life.  I would just give it to the Lord.  So this is the verse that I repeated so often.  Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.   And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."  How wonderful is that?  I am not saying I don't have my times when worry sneaks in, but I have a defense for it now, Praise God.  His scripture never goes void and I am thankful.

I chose again to do a mixed media piece of art and another passion of mine planting and watching my flowers and other things start to grow in the spring.  It brings me so much joy and piece so I wanted to incorporate that into this art.  So here it is.

And here is the verse!

And then closer photo of the flowers.

Hope you enjoyed todays post and now I am off to get ready for church.  See you tomorrow.
