Stamping 411 Sketch/Happy Birthday

Good Saturday Morning everyone! I have been up for some time just working on this card! I wanted it done and posted by the time I left to go spend the day with my mom who lives about 70 miles from me. Anyway, as you can see by the title this is for the Stamping 411 sketch challenge this week and you can find the sketch here! It was a bit out of my comfort zone this time, but I finally pulled it together.

This is a side view of the card! And for the color on the embossing part of the card, I used sponge daubers dampened a little in water and then in the Poppy Parade classic ink and lightly sponged onto the lines of the embossing.

A close up showing how the ribbon goes through where I punched the hole and stamped the image underneath. Kind of tricky here, but I did get it straight. lol Not the norm for me!

February Workshop

I am so excited to be able to share this card with my stamp club tonight as our first project. Our Theme for tonight is either Newlyweds or Anniversary (according to the sentiment used) especially since this is the month of love! I am hoping they will like it as much as I did. The best part is it is fairly easy to make. I guess we could say that the bigshot is also part of this theme as it is used a lot with both projects. Have you tried these new edgelits die? If not they are a must to have!

Here is a little different angle of the card which just shows a little more of the depth of the card!

This card is made using the new adorning accents Edgelits Dies and the Testured Impressions Embossing Folder. The flower is made using the stamp set Mixed Bunches and the punch called Blossom. I used the new Large Pearls in the center of the flower and the word window punch for the sentiment. The ribbon is the new Baja Breeze pleated ribbon.

Now here is the second project and it is a gift card holder for the bride and groom or for the anniversary couple, "just change the sentiment!"

Here I cut a piece of card stock 8 X 3 1/2, scored at the 4" mark and attached about a 1" strip of sticky tape to each top corner to hold it together. Then embellished as you see here. The actual gift card holder that you see below is made by using the two tags die and then using the "slit punch" which is now retired, but I used it here. You could also cut a slit if need be. You get the top slit when you run the die through the machine. I hope you understand what I am saying here! lol

For the heart embellishments, I use the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die in the occasions mini catalog!

Now here we come to the Hostess gift for tonight. I always try to make my hostess something that is home made and here is not exception. I stamped here on tiles to make them coasters.

Here are the two coasters I put together for her. I found a photo of her and her family on face book and saved it and used My Digital Studio to frame it, then printed it off and put it on the coaster. The second coaster I actually used a stamp set which is one of the freebies with a $50 order called Fresh Vintage. The verse comes from a stamp set called The Nicest Things. I hope she likes it!

Well now for the announcement that I gave my stamp club tonight. I will be stepping down from SU in the near future and this will be my last workshop. I will stay active for the next quarter, but will not be putting together workshops. I have already spoken with a wonderful lady who will be taking over the club if they want. This will in no way mean that I will not be stamping. God has just changed my path a little and a new ministry has been laid on my heart to help with at our church. With a regular full time job, I just don't have the time to prepare as a demonstrator should so it is best that my club is placed in more capable hands at this time.

Field Flowers and LateNightStampers Challenge

Have you every had a card just bring a Bible verse to mind? Well this card brought this verse to mind! "The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light." Revelation 21:23 I guess it was the brightness of it and springy look of it. Whatever the reason, I am thankful that my next home will not have any darkness! I love the summer and I do believe it is because of the longer days and I rejoice in knowing that I will be in the presence of my Lord's illuminating glory!

Well I am a day late on posting this, but was not able to get to it until last night. This is our weekly challenge over at SULateNightStampers. This week, we have a sketch challenge. I just love sketches. It gives you a guideline and then you can just make it your own.

What a weekend! I spent the whole weekend working on my upcoming workshop and of course keeping my 18 month old grandson on Saturday afternoon. He about ran me into the dirt, such an energetic little boy, but I loved every minute of it. So since I was unable to share some new cards with you, I thought I would share a couple more pages that I have done of my daughter's wedding. I am now at 36 pages and am now just getting to the reception. So I anticipage about 45 pages total. May run more, we will just have to see!

So here she is getting ready with my oldest daughter and me helping her!

And now adding all the finishing touches!

She was such a beautiful bride! Well both of my daughters were. And once I finish this one, I will have to start on my oldest daughter a book since I was not doing this 10 years ago when she got married! Maybe I will use the same page layout to make it easier! lol Not sure that would work.

Punched out Presents

Good Saturday morning my dear friends! Could not start my Saturday without sharing with you my inspiration from Stamping 411. When I first saw their sketch I thought what will I use for this one? But after a few minutes of looking around, this is the idea I got. And, now that it is complete I like it. The card was very simple to do with the hardest part making sure the presents were centered on the paper and in line all the way down. For the present, I used the 1 1/4" square punch and for the bow at the top I used the blossom bouquet triple layer punch and cut the punched flower in half. So one punch makes two! Easy enough.

Just Believe

Good Morning! It is Friday and I am thankful as this week has been a week of run here, run there, do this, do that! I think you get my drift and work has been so busy that I have not had time to think! Anyway, finally got a chance to make a card last night and was inspired by the sketch over at Sketch Frenzy Friday. It was last weeks sketch, but you can find the sketch here.

As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to go back and use one of my oldies but goodies stamp set, Just Believe. So that is what I did. I also used the Boho Blossoms punch for the flowers and scrunched them up to add some dimension to the card.

I scrunched them enough that they were almost to separate which I think makes them look more real!

OK, little by little I am still working on my daughter's wedding scrapbook and have done 26 pages, but have quite a few left to do. But I thought I would share this page with you as my daughter has a special relationship with her grandmother. So I knew she would want a page set aside just for her. The page is very simple and that is exactly the way I wanted it.

The sentiment I used was the perfect sentiment for this page. It really says it all about my daughter and my mom.

Hymn & Scripture Challenge #3 - How Great Thou Art

This has always been one of my favorite hymns! And, just like everyone else who is doing this challenge, I will probably say that about all the hymns to come. But this song has always just spoke volumes to me. "How Great Thou Art" is exactly how I feel each time I see the awesome power of my Lord! I have seen Him take lives that are so out of control and put them back together again. I have seen marriages that others thought were doomed put back together again and they in turn are helping others. I have seen people's lives changed forever. And in each and every one of these cases I have looked up in awe at my Savior and thought of this song and how great He truly is!

Patter has a wonderful post on this song that you really need to check out! You can find her post here! She shares each verse of the hymn and Bible verses that relate to the song. An inspiring post she has written and will be well worth your time to read.

The verse I chose to go along with my page today and this hymn is Psalm 59:16, "But I will sing of Your power: Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble." I can look back and see how God has just walked with me and the times that He has carried me and I just can never thank Him enough for all He has done in my family's life and in my life! Blessing upon blessings has He given me and so many messes He has helped me out of. I can't help but praise Him and know "How Great Thou Art."

Here is the link to the original and I made mine a little different and will probably do some more! Now where I got it from they called it a Dragon Fly, but to me it looks like a butterfly! So I guess you could call it either one.

SU LateNightStamper Challenge - Black/White/one other color

Good Monday Morning to you all! Today our challenge at SULateNightStampers is to make a project using the colors Black and White and One other color! As you can see, my one other color is red! I did cheat a little by using some green on the leaves, but I think that will be okay, don't you? I am loving using my new paper doily sizzix large die! You can just do so much with it and as soon as I saw the sketch this week from Stampin Queen's Sketch Challenge blog, I knew I would use this paper doily die again. They actually have two sketches this week, so go take a look!

Stamping 411 meets Array of Shunshine

Good morning my cyber friends! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Mine has been a busy weekend so far as I spent most of my day at church yesterday working on a fund raiser for a special ministry we are starting. And then back to church this morning to worship my Lord.

My card today was inspired by the stamping 411 sketch and I actually added a little more bling than I would have as I looked at the wrong challenge for this week for our SULateNightStampers, but that is okay as I do like the outcome. But now I have to make another challenge for this weeks challenge. But that just means I get to spend some more time stamping at some point today!

I used a stamp set I had not used yet. The hostess stamp set "Array of Sunshine" and have decided I really like that set.

Here you can see that I stamped the image first on the card stock I would use on the card and then stamped it again and cut it out, popped it up right above the original stamp. It gives it dimension by doing this way. The butterflies and pearls were the added bling that I might have left off is I had realized I did the wrong challenge! But I do love using the pearls and butterflies.

Good Morning, I am trying to get this posted before the link runs out to to the sketch for this weeks ODBD Shining the Light Challenge! Beautiful Wings meets meets blossom punch

How cute is this card and so very simple! Again I am using the Attic Boutique Designer Paper. Love that paper! This card was inspired by a challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs Forum. The challenge was clean and simple and here is what Molly said "For this month's CAS Challenge, create a card, tag, scrapbook page or altered item using only yellow and white... OK, you can use blue or black ink... but your main colors should be yellow and white!". Do now you see where my inspiration came from. And, after doing this card, I think I could be partial to yellow and white!

Wish Big!

Well I am so excited to be able to share this card with you today! It was actually inspired by two challenges. One was the Try Stampin' On Tuesday Sketch which I loved, and the other was the SUO (Stampin' Up! Only) challenge blog where you were to use your favorite item in the new occasions mini catalog! Well can you guess what my favorite item in the mini was? Yes, it was the Designer Series Paper "Attic Boutique" and then I cheated a little and used my second favorite which was the Framelits Labels Collection which you see in the center!

No only did I use the Designer Paper on the outside of the card, I used it on the inside.

Usually in a pack of DSP paper, I have maybe a few of them I like, but I must say I love each sheet of this Designer Paper. I guess it is just my taste!

SULNStampers Challenge - Valentine/Love

This week our Challenge at SULateNightStampers is Valentine/Love! So since I do not send a lot of valentine cards, I decided to make a card that could be used for a wedding card! And, here it is!

So I punched out two hearts from the designer Series Paper (DSP) and 1 out of the Shimmery White Card Stock. Adhered a piece of the DSP to the card base which I embossed by running through the big shot with the finial press embossing folder. Attached the ribbon and it is done. How cool is that.

Hymn and Scripture Challenge #2 - Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

Good Sunday Morning everyone! I am so excited to be able to share my next Hymn and Scripture Challenge with you! The Hymn that Patter chose this time is "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus." And what a beautiful hymn it is! To see Patter's post and to join her in this new year's Scripture Challenge see her post of Challenge 2 here! Such a wonderful write up she posted and one you must read.

My page is a little feminine, but I just wanted to show so much how this song spoke to me and it was meant just for me this week. Why, because when we keep our eyes on Jesus, then we will keep ourselves in His will and in His Word and the peace that comes from Him is unbelievable! I just love reading the Bible as it teaches me each and every time I open it. The verse I chose for this challenge is: "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18." You see we have to keep our eyes focused on heaven since that is our eternal home. We might not see him daily face to face, but I assure you that I feel him daily walking with me and showing me what is right and what is wrong and giving me the strength and courage to continue on! He can do the same for you! Here is a beautiful rendition of this beautiful song!

Baby Card for Twins

Well I had a wonderful day doing a stamp crop with some of the people I stamp with all the time. We all left feeling as if we had accomplished so much. And, they made much more than I did, but I worked on My Digital Studio. Which got a lot accomplished, but did not leave with the cards or scrapbook pages they had in hand. But this one card I did for my granddaughter's teacher who is having twins and will be leaving next week. So she wanted to give her a card.

This card was inspired by the stamping 411 sketch challenge today! I actually used 3 different stamps for it and also added the "X2" on the middle circle. I didn't know what else to do and I think it looks fine. When my 1st grade granddaughter saw it, she just smiled which made me happy because that meant she really liked it.

First of all I would like to share with you the original layout for the workshop and then it grew to 11 people and I had to rethink the colors I was going to use as I did not have 11 12X12 daffodil delight card stock. So anyway, I went ahead and decorated this page with the photos from the Taylor Swift concert I went to with my two Daughters and two granddaughters! I really wanted a wow page since it was for Morgan's birthday and Taylor Swift is a WOW performer, so I did add some bling to it. So here is the page! So hard to get a good photo on a 12X12 layout.

So now here is the actual page we did at the workshop with the colors I had enough of!

My dear husband seemed to like these colors better than the yellow! But that is a man for you! lol

So once we finished with the scrapbook page we went on to make a simple card! Now I did make one change and that was to use Textured Card Stock instead of the plain for the workshop.

Will still need to finish the inside at some point this weekend, but I do love it and love those new framelits.

And, last but not least is the hostess gift. It is a little bright, but what I was doing was showing the group all the different sizes that come with the Labels framelits. So I used a color family group to do this. Also she can use these again, as I added very little adhesive. Inside the envelopes are some of the new items in the occasions mini that I thought she would enjoy. 4 of the Paper Doily (sizzix large die) the blossoms punch flowers, and the new hearts embosslits.

Footprints - Watercoloring

I got this stamp set for Christmas and had not used it yet and was so excited to be able to use it today! I would love to create a canvas with it and that is one of the reasons for purchasing it, but have not gotten around to that as of yet. With this one, I was inspired by the shining the light challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs Blog which was to create a card or project using three items, tools or embellishments beginning with three of the letters in the word "W-I-N-T-E-R-" So mine was W-Watercolor, I-Ink, N-New Stamp Set, T-tearing. And, it was so easy to do! I was so excited when it was finished.

Wow is what I thought when I finished this card! This is usually not my style, but I do love the look of it. This month over at Our Daily Bread Designs Forum our Featured Artist of the Month is Sabrina Jackson and what a talented person she is. So what I did was look at her gallery and then I just put quite a few things together and kind of show-cased her style. I sure hope that I accomplished just a little of what her gallery over at ODBD looks like, just beautiful. Sabrina loves to use Rhinestones, flowers and stick pens, so that is what I used. And, I think I did OK.

Also another inspiration for this card was the shining the light challenge and the Stepping in Time Challenge with Betty for this week and last at Our Daily Bread Designs Blog! First of all the Stepping in Time Challenge was to use the 2012, 2 of something, 0 of something, 1 of something and 2 of something. So, I used two Roses, 0 embossing, 1 stamp set, and 2 items were sponged or 2 colors of Card Stock. The Shining the light challenge was to create a card or project using three items, tools or embellishments beginning with three of the letters in the word "W-I-N-T-E-R-" So for this card, I used I-Ink, N-Nestabilities, R-Roses or Rhinestones.

Good Monday morning to all of you! As you know we have our weekly challenge starting today over at SULateNightStampers and this week it is to make a card using a different shape than typical rectangle or square. How great is that and especially now that we have the new framelits. So this is the card I for today's challenge. This is another inspiration from Stamping 411 sketch that I used this week! Just made it portrait instead of landscape!

I actually cut the base of the card out using very vanilla card stock as you will see in a few with the side view. I then cut the same size again with the pool party card stock, ran it through the bigshot with the perfect polkadots embossing folder and adhered it to the front over the very vanilla so you would not see the little bit of square at the top to make sure you have your fold. Hope you understand what I just said! lol Actually as you can see I used 3 different sizes of the framelits to make this card!

I even used two sizes on the inside and sponged the edge of the smaller one. Just seemed to add a little more support to the backside of the card!

Ain't Love Grand/Surprise Blog Candy

Isn't this just the cutest card? But first let's start with what inspired this card, the Stamping 411 Sketch! Just love checking out their site each week to see what new and interesting sketch is available. And, of course this week was no different. Also, my son-in-law is in Afghanistan and of all things his birthday is also Valentine's day. So I wanted a card that I could possibly sent him that would go with birthday and Valentine's day! Or I may just send him two cards! I do have a little time to decide!

And, this is the inside! And, I am thinking my daughter may want to give it to him, so where it has "i" I have not changed it to we. I always do that on the cards. Just makes it more personable! Also was going to do the Happy Birthday stamp and Happy Valentine's on the inside, but decided to wait and see if she does want to send it to him.

Now don't you just love the inside? Am I bragging on my own card? Yes, there are times you just have to say, this turned out just as I wanted it too! lol

OK, now on to the Surprise Blog Candy I have to offer today! I have been planning on doing this for quite some time, but just seemed to always have something else come up and then I just decided it is time to do this. Family Christmas Scrapbook Page

Good evening everyone! This has been one of those weeks and I am just now getting to post this double page layout that I finally finished yesterday. It has really been busy at work and I am also trying to get the samples ready of the two projects I will be sharing next week at our Stampin' Up! workshop. So I think I have the samples ready as of just a few minutes ago. That means I will just have to do the cutting out this weekend and then back to my normal stamping for a little while.

Anyway, what inspired this dual page was a sketch I saw during the 12 days of Christmas at Got Sketch, # 123. I just loved the sketch and had to play with it.

Tooty Fruity/ LateNightStampers Challenge

Just want to thank all of you who have been lifting me up in prayer during this episode with my back. I am feeling much better today, not 100% but much better! Thanks for all the comments you have left.

Now to share with you our SU LateNightStampers challenge this week! This week we are to make a project using fruit. It can be an image, paper or embellishment as long as there is fruit on the project you make. Well I think I fullfilled the fruit part on this "loud" (as my husband called it) card! There are sometimes I should not ask him what he thinks! lol But actually I like this "loud" card! And, I also used the sketch from the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog! So here is my "loud" card!

Actually my daughter colored the image as she was visiting with me today. She doesn't think it is loud and loved the paper and the image. (Do I sound a little miffed with my husband?)

Sprinkled Expression/Fashionable Hearts Embosslits

How cute is this card and it was inspired by the sketch over at Stamping 411. You must check out their sketches as they are fabulous! I try to play as often as possible and since this was a rather simple sketch and I am still have some back problems I thought,"I'll just whip it up right quick." Is anything ever quick when you actually sit down to work on a card or scrapbook page. I don't think so! lol Anyway, it was actually fairly simple to do and if I would have stopped with the outside would have been simpler. But I have to put the insides together. Actually used 4 stamps in putting this total card together. Even though I am using hearts, this would be a great card for any friend, your mom or husband anytime of year. That is why I like it so much.

And as always, you cannot forget to do the inside of the card, which is where the other stamps come into play!

Actually the top of the inside was a last minute decision once I decided to send this to my mom! I knew she would love this and I wanted it centered someway and all of a sudden my most favorite item of all came into play on this card. The top note die! I use it so much and for so many things! Did it not frame the top of the card perfectly.

Christmas Layout/MDS

This is one of those moments that you really want to share with others. I had a few of those this Christmas and am working on some other pages I will share with you in the near future. But we have to start somewhere, and I thought I would start here!

This page was actually inspired by two different blogs! The first was from Got Sketch. I love their sketches and have used them quite often! You can find the sketch I used here! My second inspiration came from Our Daily Bread Designs Scrapbook Challenge where they had an inspiration color challenge and I just loved the colors. So I used their stamp "Christmas Verses" to incorporate the layout into their challenge. I did the whole page digitally and then I stamped just the part I wanted by using my markers and actually added a "s" onto the bring. I just love the stamp set Christmas Verses because you can also use them at different times of the year.

Paper Doily/ Blessings from Heaven

Wow, I was beginning to think there would be no more stamping for me for a while. My back is really giving me fits and I can not sit for extended periods of time. So my job is not really working for me now as I sit at a computer most of the day. But, I found out tonight that if I stand up for a little while, then lay back down on the floor flat for a little bit (gets boring but is really the only position that doesn't hurt) eventually, I will get a card done.

So this card was inspired by this weeks Stampin Queen's Sketch! As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew what I wanted to do and it turned out just as I hoped it would. I will be sending this card to a dear friend of mine from church who is having a hard time right now. I know she will love it.

Hymn and Scripture Challenge #1 - Amazing Grace

Well Sunday started a new Scripture Challenge over at Triple the Scraps with Patter. I did the one for 2010, but did not do last year and I really missed it. So I am starting this one and hoping to keep us as I learned so much in 2010 and really still look back at the pages I did. I have not created my album cover yet as I am uncertain of how I will display this years, but I did decide to do 6 X 6 pages again. They just seem to work for me and they are a great size. To learn more about the challenge you can go to this post by Patter! And to keep up with the challenges, you can go to this post! And for her post for the first challenge, you can read it here! Patter is such a talented writer and loves the Lord!

For the first challenge the Hymn that Patter chose was Amazing Grace. So to start my page I went to google and looked for the song Amazing Grace in jpeg format. When I saw the one below in a cross, I just had to use it and I thought it just seemed to match the paper I was using just beautifully. After finding that there was not much else you could do to the page other than add a few scriptures which finished it off perfectly for me.

I actually did most of the page digitally except for the main verse you see which is John 1:16 and I chose that verse because I had the ODBD stamp set on hand and really liked it and the way it looked and thought it would just add so much to the page. So I did all of it including the box to stamp the scripture in using My Digital Studio and then printed off. I then chose the ink color Cajun Craze to stamp the scripture in as it was the color that seemed to match the rest of the page. Aren't you so thankful for the grace of our Lord and Savior that allows us to receive one blessing after another. If not for the sacrifice of Jesus, we would not have the blessings of life as we know it now. And I also chose another scripture of Romans 5:20. So thankful that through Jesus and His grace we are forgiven. Grace abounds much more!

Masculine Card Hybrid!

Good Morning dear friends. This card was inspired by this weeks Stamping 411 Sketch and also today starts our first challenge of the year for SULatenight stampers, but definitely not the first challenge as we are now at challenge 154. But this week was to use planes, trains or automobiles. And since I do not have a current stamp with any of those, I decided that my digital studio would work just fine as they are always current. So I used the MDS stamp set Sentimental Journey for the plane and lightened it by putting the opacity at 50% and then over it I used the MDS stamp set Daring Adventure. I used the square punch in MDS to make it the size I need and made the color of the punched image crumb cake. The background is also the MDS Daring adventure and I did it using the crumb cake on whisper white. I made that big enough for the background and printed it out on 8 1/2 X 11 whisper white card stock, cut both of them out and attached it to the card base. Of course you can see that I added some hemp twine, natural and black (black is now retired, but I had some left) and attached the button by running the twine through it. I am really happy with my hybrid card and the fact that I now have a masculine birthday card. I thought this was perfect for a birthday card!

Happy New Year everyone! What a great day for the New Year to start, Sunday! Went to church this morning and what a great message. I am so very blessed to have a wonderful church and wonderful church family.

Today I am sharing with you another card using the new paper "Attic Boutique." I am loving that paper and using it inside and outside on my cards. What inspired me to use the Spotlight technique that I used above is the sketch over at Stampin Queen's Sketch blog! I thought it was the perfect sketch to highlight all the cute little items on this beautiful paper! Also, by using the 3/4" round punch and the 1" round punch, I can also use this for the SUO challenge which is feeling a bit punchy! I love using my punches.

Happy New Year to all of my Cyber Friends! You really do keep me motivated and I appreciate each one of you!

This card is for a friend of mine at work who lost her father recently and I thought when I return to work on Tuesday, I would give her the card. I actually have not used this stamp set until today and it is absolutely the best stamp. I love the sentiment on it and the verse which you will see shortly on the inside. It was actually inspired by the Sketch Frenzy Friday Challenge.

I have been wanting to use this new Sizzlits Die called Paper Doily, a new item in the Stampin' Up! occasions mini catalog previewing January 4th, ever since I got it and today while looking through some of the challenges over at Our Daily Bread Designs Forum I saw the clean and simple challenge which was a sketch and that is all it took! I knew I would finally be able to use it! I had also been wanting to use this new ribbon which is also in the new mini and voila, here it is! I just love it when a plan comes together.

I am excited to have my first scrapbook page of the year done and now quite a few more to go. But at lease I have stared. This page was actually inspired by the scrapbook challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs Blog. As soon as I saw the sketch, I loved it and knew I had to use it. My only problem is I wish the photo I took would have turned out a little better, but it will do. The colors did not come out good and I could not get a good image with no blur what so ever. I took 43 photos. So this is as good as it gets!

Most of the page was done digitally except the verses, rhinestones, and the photos of the girls. I decided to put them on after since they were so dark and I am glad I did. I just love the way the children are waiting for us to say, "time to open your presents now." We had Christmas with our out of town family two weeks ago and that is when the photos were taken.

Christmas Card for Hubby!

Well I know I have not been posting much lately, but this time of the year, I am trying to catch up with wrapping and baking so I will be ready on Christmas. Maybe I should post some of those so you can see just how busy I am. I am sure we are all that busy.

OK on to the card and what inspired this card! First, I needed a Christmas Card for my dear husband and this weeks challenge at SULatenightStampers is to do a Christmas Card or Seasonal card with silver, white and blue. Also when I was looking at the stamping 411 sketch this week, I thought, I can use that sketch to a certain point. So that helped to bring you this card today!

The stamp set for the "To my Husband," is so old and I did not put the name on it and wish I had because I can not remember. If I find out, I will let you know. I do know the new mini coming soon has a stamped set called "loved ones" that can be used like this.

OK, I can now say that I know for sure I am going to love the new items from Stampin' Up! Yes, this is a sneak peak into what is coming January 3rd in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. Is this not the cutest stamp set and not only that, "framelits" to match the stamp set. Yes, all you have to do is stamp the image and then using the framelits Labels collection you can just cut out your frame very simply! Yea!!!!!

But I could not have made this wonderful birthday card for my dear daughter (whose birthday is next week, shhhhh) without a sketch that I saw on Got Sketch - Twelve Days of Christmas. When I saw the sketch, I knew it was the perfect one for this stamp set, and yes I know I did not do a Christmas card for it. I love Got Sketch and use quite a few of their sketches especially their scrapbook sketches, so stop by there and see the wonderful sketches they have!

Photo Coasters

I just loved making these photo coasters for my daughter's and their family! I used My Digital Studio to size the photos to the correct size and used it to turn the photo into black and white and then printed them on to regular photo paper. And, once I got everything together, they really came together quite well. The hard part was waiting for everything to dry which usually took a couple of hours and then over night at times. But the process was so simple and easy!

Are they not the best. Wish my photos were a little better, but at least you can see mostly what they look like. For the backing I did use the felt squares and cut them the size of the back of the coaster. I used white felt and regular glue!

Here is a link that I used on how to do these! I love Pinterest because all I had to do was pull it up again and give you the link! I did use a different sealer than the directions called for, but it came out just fine.

Ornament made with glitter paper and Designer Paper

I finally got the other ornament for my other daughter finished last night. I was beginning to think that it was not going to happen. As you can see with this one, I used the Scallop Circle Bigz die to use as the base using the Silver Glimmer Paper. I also scored my paper rosette at 1/2" instead of 1/4" which made the ornament a little thicker. It was so easy to make. Actually I cut two strips of the Holly Berry Bouquet designer paper 12 X 1 3/4, scored them at the 1/2" mark and then put them together and formed the circle. Adhered that to a circle I punched out with glue and let set for a while to make sure it was dry. I added the Mica Flakes to the rosette using the multi purpose glue and while they were drying, I punched a scallop circle out of the red glimmer paper using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. The photo was punched out using the 1 3/4" circle punch. All adhered using the multipurpose glue. While all of that was drying, I adhered the red ribbon to the scallop round die cut piece by using a small brad. I then adhered everything else on top of that and let dry over night. The last thing I added was the very vanilla taffeta ribbon 1/8". Very easy to do.

This time of the year is very busy and I have not had time to do any new things or post any of my old things that have not been posted yet. Good morning! Hope your day has started well. I was off yesterday with my husband who had a procedure done, so I had a few moments to play around. What inspired this card was today's featured artist at Our Daily Bread Designs forum which use to be Christian Paper Crafts. The artist for this challenge was Angella Crockett and you can find the card I cased here! I decided to do a Christmas Card and did not have the same stamp set, so I just took the look of her card and transformed it into a Christmas Card. I was pleased with the outcome!

And now a side view to show you just how thick I made the poinsettia by using the 5-Petal Flower Punch. I used it for the green and the flower and popped it up on the bottom.

I even had to paper pierce as Angie does that on almost all of her cards, so I could not let that pass!

When I saw the sketch from Mary Jo's blog this morning, I knew I would use this stamp set. It was just perfect for it. And, it turned out just as I thought. What an easy card! It is kind of masculine, so if you have that boss that is a man may be the perfect card!

Letters to Santa DSP meets Stamping 411

Stamping 411 sketch this week is one that I had to think on a little while and then I remembered this paper and that was all it took. Such and easy card to do and was actually fun except for one mistake. You really can't tell from this view, but have you ever known your grid paper had some sticky on it and then laid something else down to put the adhesive on it and when you picked it up, it tour a little piece out. Well that is what I did, so to cover it up, one of the ornaments is popped up. And, after I did that I really liked it, so I did not even have to tell you I made a boo boo! LOL

It is actually the middle ornament on the left. Really adds a little pop to card when you are seeing it in person.

Book Mark Christmas Tag

Good Sunday Morning! Hope you all have a wonderful day in the Lord! As we celebrate this season of our Savior's birth, I had been wanting to make some book marks or Christmas tags and so I thought I would join in with the challenge today over at Our Daily Bread Designs. The challenge was to create a bookmark and it can be any type book mark. And, now that I have made this book mark I am thinking I will do more and give them to my Sunday School Class.

I just love the way this turned out especially with the little poinsettia that I made using one of my old punch and it was called the Spring Bouquet Flower. It was one of my first punches with Stampin' Up! and I still use it quite a bit even though it is retired.

Letters to Santa Gift Card Holder

Good Friday Morning all and it is almost the weekend. YEA!!!! Hope you have had a great week.

This is another gift card I have done for a friend who wanted me to make her 7. I did 3 of these and 4 of the one I posted earlier. This was for a man, so I thought it fit the manly figure better than the gift card holder purses. This designer paper had to grow on me, but once it did, I am just using it up and have some set aside for scrapbooking. Must get that done quickly this year.

How cute is this with this paper! And, so easy to put together. That is the best way to do these holders. I left the measurements at home, but I think they are as follows: UPDATED ON 12/3!

Cut card stock to 4 1/4 X 8.

Score at 2 3/4 and 6

Cut another card stock at 2 1/2 X 4 1/4 and using a heavy adhesive only on the sides and bottom adhere to the middle of the card with the bottom right above the score line. As you can see in photo above gift card will fit right into this slot.

You will decorate as you want with cutting the Designer paper 1/4" less than the width of the are you need it.

If I get home and see the score lines are different, I will edit and put in correct score lines.

Gift card Holder Purse

This weeks challenge at SULateNightStampers is to make a gift card. So here is my gift card!

I just love making gift card holders and this one was no different. I have made it a few different ways, but this one I decided to do as a purse. And, I think it turned out great. You can find the tutorial here for the basic layout of this gift card. Wish I could say it was my original idea. You can find another idea of how I used here! I can always find a way to make it look different. All I did with this one was to add a handle that I cut by using two ovals and cutting them out. Also the red at the bottom was an after thought as I cut the Design paper wrong. There are always ways of covering up your mistakes.

Good Morning my friends. Today I am sharing a card I made last night after my dear daughter's birthday dinner. I had wanted so bad to do the challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs blog this week and last night I just got the opportunity. I did not realize thought that the placement of the ribbon would take me so long. Had everything done and spent more than 30 minutes trying to place the ribbon which started off with a satin ribbon, then a velvet ribbon and finally this little ribbon. I almost just quit and then thought, no I am going to finish this card! And now I am glad I did.

Good Saturday Morning to you and welcome to "Newsprint meets Christmas Cottage Tree." I had been wanting to stamp on some music paper with this beautiful tree and as I was going through my paper yesterday, I saw this retired piece of "Newsprint DSP" and knew right away I would use it. When I saw this weeks sketch from Stamping 411, I then knew how I would use it. I seem to purchase all this Designer paper and forget I have it to use! Do you guys do that?

Treasures in My Life!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my sweet Cyber followers! You are all such a blessing to me. Today I want to share a layout of the blessings in my life! The Bible tells us that "where our treasure is, there will our heart be also." Well I know my final treasure will be heaven and thank the Lord for that, but He has also given me many treasures here on earth and 3 of those are my dear grandchildren.

This page is a layout I actually did for a workshop, but had not added the photos until this morning. I also added the Verse at the bottom as this works for a challenge for our Daily Bread Designs blog, plus the verse just says it all.

Now to share some close up shots of this page!

This is my youngest grandchild and only grandson! Even though the photo is a bit blurred, I just had to show you how excited he was to be playing with the others outside! He was throwing those leaves along with them.

Here is one of the two granddaughters. The top one is the sister to my grandson and they are my oldest daughter's children! The bottom one is my youngest daughter's child.

I love to scrapbook as it tells a story of our lives and hopefully one day my grandchildren will look at this and know just how much I loved them

Our challenge this week for StampinUpLateNightStampers group was to do a Christmas card in non traditional colors and since I had been wanting to use this sweet little girl, I thought this would be the best opportunity. Plus to make it even easier, I already had the very vanilla with the northern flurry embossing folder already done for a previous stamp-a-stack I had put together. All I had to do was put this image on it and add another color base. Makes it easy to have some of the prep already done.

Is this not the cutest image! I just love this stamp set from Stampin' Up! and had not purchased it and I received a few stamped images in the mail from my dear cyber friend Nancy! Wasn't that so sweet of her? I was so excited to be able to use it today and also to use the stamping 411 sketch this week. What a fabulous sketch! So now, I know for sure that this is going to have to be one of my purchases in the near future. Thanks Nancy for pushing me over the edge on this one! lol

I actually did this card for my great niece that just turned 4 and I am late with the card, but she lives out of town and when I see her this weekend, I will give her the card and her present. Her mother also has a birthday this weekend and I really need to get a card made for her also. Wow, just thought of that one! Just gives me another reason to stamp this week.

November Workshop

Hello my faithful cyber friends! It has been a few days since I have posted! Was out of town a couple of days and then had my last workshop for the year and stamp crop afterwards yesterday and am just now getting in to do a post. The card above is the card we did yesterday at our workshop and everyone loved it. It was a lot of fun using the white embossing powder, sponging and using the stamp pad to make a background. So we used 3 different techniques on this card! Always learning a new technique is a lot of fun.

Also we made a sachet and we really had the place smelling high with a scent called "sticky buns." But we had so much fun! Here is a link to how to make these wonderful sachets by "The Southern Stamper."

Isn't this just darling and all we used was a crumb cake envelope by stampin' up, snow much fun stamp set, some markers, gel pen white and a crimper. Cute as they can be and smells yum!

Christmas Lodge at Night

Good Morning all and welcome to the Christmas Lodge at night! lol This just reminded me of a cold snowy night at Christmas when everything is lit up and a nice snow is falling! Well how did I do this?

First of all I used chocolate chip card stock and the stamp set Christmas Cottage. I stamped both the image using versamark ink and then poured white embossing powder over the two images. I heat set it using a heat gun. I stamped the sentiment using the craft white ink. Then I cut two pieces of the 1/8" taffeta real red ribbon and wrapped around the corners of the card stock. Took another piece of the ribbon and made a bow and adhered it with a glue dot at the top of the tree. I then took my spray bottle of the frost white shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol and sprayed the chocolate chip card stock along with the images. Using a paper towel I rubbed the embossed images to take off the shimmer spray. That is how I got the falling snow effect. And, finally, I adhered the chocolate chip to the whisper white card base. Such an easy card to do.

This was one of the choices for my workshop on Saturday and needless to say the other one won out. So you will probably see the other card with the workshop post on Saturday at some point!

Happy Birthday Morgan

Today is my granddaughter's 7th birthday and she is taking dance. So I thought that this was a wonderful card for her. It is actually a hybrid card as the front of it and the inside was done using My Digital Studio which I love. I chose the paper I wanted and then chose the stamp brush set to use and then set it all up on a 8 1/2" paper and printed the front and the inside out. I colored the image using my markers then cut the front out to 4 1/8 X 5 5/8 and adhered to the front of a blushing bride paper cut to card size of 4 1/4 X 5 1/2. I then added the ribbon to the outside and the rhinestones. Fairly simple and turned out great.

For her birthday we are going out of town tomorrow for a Taylor Swift concert in Charlotte, NC. She is so excited and so am I. My two daughters and my other granddaughter are going, so it is a girls trip only! Fun, fun, fun!!! Tonight we are going to IHOP to celebrate! Why do kids love going there? Probably all those pancakes and syrup! I even like the pancakes and syrup! LOL

The image used is from the stamp brush set "Under the Big Top". I can not remember which digital paper I used, but it was from one of the Nursery Sets.

Christmas Ornament

Every year I try to get an ornament for my two daughters and their families, but most of the time I purchase them, but when I saw an ornament made by Robin Meriman, I thought I can do that but just add a photo of the family. So that is exactly what I did. So here is the final result!

Now how cute is that? I actually cut the designer paper, Holly Berry Bouquet, 2 strips 12 X 2, scored them every 1/4" and then accordion folded them, attached them at each end to form a circle, pressed the circle down and adhered it to a 1 3/8" round circle with the Tombow multipurpose glue. Using my digital studio, I made sure I made the photo to fit a 1 3/8" circle punch. I also adhered the mica flakes to the rosette by using the same Tombow multipurpose glue. Once dry I adhered the photo to the top. I then cut out the two underneath pieces by using the scallop square duo (the larger of the two squares) using the silver glimmer paper. Using the grid paper, I attached them together to form the look you see above. I attached the velvet stitched ribbon over the two of them with a silver glimmer brad. I then adhered the finished rosette to the silver glimmer paper using the glue and let it dry.

My only dilemma now is I would love to seal it, but am unsure of how to do this. With the mica flakes I cannot use the Mod Podge. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I would like for it to last for years to come. And, now I have to get the other one done for my other daughter.

Thanksgiving Place Setting

I thought I would share with you today a place setting for a Thanksgiving meal. It is really the first one I have done and was a lot of fun to do.

It was so hard to get a good photo as I stared out in the kitchen and then decided to take it in my regular photo spot as I could not get the light right.

Fall reminds me of pears and of the changing of colors. So when I saw this stamp set and this paper, I knew they would make a perfect match. Such a simple card yet I thought it turned out wonderful.

Snow Much Fun Candle

This is one of the candles that I made for my bazaar and actually was the first to sell! I may actually have to do one for myself now because it was a view all the way around. I used the stamp set Snow Much Fun and it was a lot of fun to make, but taking a photo at the right angle was quite hard to do! Above you see the right side front of the candle.

Now here is a photo of the left side front view of the candle!

When I tried to take a photo of just the front, you could not see the snowmen very good, so this was the only way I could get the shots I needed to really show what the candle looked like and it still did not get the full effect.

Even the backside was a little hard to get and get all of the images in. But it really was a very nice candle and like I said the first to go!

Snow Much Fun Glitter

I love working with this stamp set "Snow Much Fun". So much you can do with it. I was inspired by the stamping 411 sketch challenge and the SULateNightStampers challenge, use glitter or rhinestones, for this week. Love it when you can get two challenges in one card! I always love the stamping 411 sketches as I can usually find the perfect set for each sketch.

For this card I actually used the iridescent ice embossing powder for the tree and the snow ball, but for the snowflake, I used the dazzling diamonds glitter and the glue pen to adhere it. I also used the white gel pen to add the white on the tree after I colored it with the old olive marker. To add even more glitter, I used the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with an alcohol solution and sprayed the paper prior to running it through the big shot using the snow burst embossing folder. It just seems to have a more defined image when you do it that way. So I would say I have shimmer everywhere. And, I did add that one little rhinestone into the center of the snow flake just to give a little more bling.

Sounding Joy Candle

I just love the way this candle turned out and I love the stamp set Sounding Joy by Stampin' Up! For some reason I just knew it would make a fabulous candle and it did! Don't you just love it when a thought becomes a creation and it turns out just the way you wanted it too!

Fall Gift Bag

Is this not the cutest little gift bag and so easy to make using just a 8 1/2 X 11 piece of card stock.

I scored on the long side of the card stock at 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 and then on the short side scored at 2" on either side (or 2" and 6 1/2"). Then you cut the flaps on the long side (4 1/2" and 6 1/2") up to the two inch score line on both sides. These are the flaps that go in and give you the ability to fold the box up. Then of course you can just put sticky strip on one side and attach to the other side. One thing I did was use the "top note die" to give the top a design. You just fold the two flaps in on either side on the 2" score lines. You are then able to fold the top down so that both tops meet. I then put it on the edge of where the die starts cutting and then run it to where the edge goes under and then roll it back out and it only takes off the top of the bag to give it the design. Actually here is a tutorial by someone else who has done close to the same type bag. Her bag is made by using a piece of 8X12" card stock, so it is taller and a little thinner, but this will give you an idea of how to put this bag together. And, you may want to use the longer card stock!

Once the bag was together, I then cut a strip of 1 1/2" X 12 and then a 1 1/2" X 2 and adhered the two pieces together then adhered to the back of the bag. I did the same with the Designer paper except I used a 1 1/4" wide. I then decorated the bag with leaves that were cut using the "leaves # 2 die" from Stampin' Up! and also the Finial Press embossing folder from Stampin' Up! I cut it first and then placed the leaves in the finial press embossing folder and ran it through.

Got Happy Mail Today!

Well hello all! Got home from work today and found some happy mail in my mail box! I just love happy mail. And once I saw a couple of the items in the happy mail, I knew I had to go ahead and use it! I am making these cute little picture holders using the large binder clips for a bazaar coming up next week and when I saw this cute crochet flower, I knew it would be on one of my little picture holders. I even went back to one of my older picture albums to get a photo of when my two granddaughters were 6 months and 22 months (now 7 and 8) to showcase in the photo holder. They were playing dress up - or my daughter was playing dress up with them! lol So without further ado, here it is!

Is this not cute! And now here is one with the photo!

So the yellow flower and the little cute pink bird were part of the stash that I won in a drawing from Nancy! You can find her post here of the drawing on her blog "The Nickel Nook"here! Thanks Nancy and I love it all!

Actually I took a picture for all of you to see the great happy mail I received!

How great is that! I love the ribbon and the stick pin and the .........! Oh my, I love it all! Again Nancy, thanks so much and be assured I will use it! Now I guess it is my turn to share some goodies! Let me get through this busy time and I will sure do a blog candy giveaway.

Notebooks for Bazaar

Good Friday Morning to you! Well these are 3 more of the different mini notebooks that I am doing for the bazaar! How cute are these. I have made a few of each, but I just grabbed these to take a picture and show. I tried to make them as easy as possible so it would not take a lot of time. The one on the right with all the little flowers was really not hard, as I just found these flowers that I had been in my drawer for a while and put a brad through them and then attached with a glue dot. So easy! Of course with all of them I am getting rid of a lot of retired designer paper, but I will say that I still have drawers loaded up with paper. I may try to sale whole sheets of that also. Would make sense!

Spice Cake Covered Box

Isn't this the cutest box. These little Kraft boxes are in the SU Holiday Mini and are sized at 3-1/2 X 3-1/2 X 2 1/2 and you get 4 to the pack. They would be cute just to add a ribbon around it. But I decided to use the Spice Cake designer paper and cover it. I also made a band using the lace ribbon border punch. The flower I made from using Sizzix Flower Layer # 3 die. I then attached it to a round circle after adding the leaves that I punched out using Blossom Petals Builder Punch and scored down the center. The center of the flower is made using home made "flower soft". I just used a piece of More Mustard card stock and the small side of a food grater and then picked up the pieces and glued to the center. How neat is that? So simple and you get quite a bit with just a few seconds of grating. I actually saved what I did not use.

I am planning on doing a few more of these for the craft show as I think it will be a great box to add cookies or candy too.

How easy is this card! Another card using the wonderful Northern Flurry emobossing folder by Stampin' Up! and then adding the fabulous stamp set "Christmas Lodge." Just a two layer card, a little ribbon and that is all you need. Love it when they are easy! My only problem is the lodge is a little crooked! Hope no one notices when they receive it! lol

The Sounding Joy

I just love this stamp set from our holiday mini catalog called "The Sounding Joy." It can be used in so many different ways. And, I love the overall white cards for Christmas with just enough red and green to bring in the Christmas Spirit! And, this card did just that for me and also was one of the reasons it will be one of the cards in my upcoming stamp-a-stack. So if you are one of the ones that has signed up, you get a glimpse into what you will be working on.

I embossed over the green with silver embossing powder! It just seems to bring it right off the paper and then thought it would be good to add some of the silver twine that we had last Christmas to draw the silver out a little.

Mica Flakes Christmas

Good Sunday Morning everyone! I sure have a busy day ahead of me today with church and then my DGD is in a cheering competition today! Sure wish they would not do these on a Sunday. But that is the way it is.

I was so excited with the finished product of this card. When I first saw the stamping 411 sketch, I was trying to decide what stamp set to use and then while going through all of them this one, plant hope, caught my eye and it is not even a Christmas Stamp. But that is OK because you can make one out of it as I did and there are others you can do the same with. When stamping there are times you just have to be creative. Like when I first saw this Christmas designer paper, frostwood lodge, I was unsure of it, but now I am loving it. I have made regular cards with it and have discovered the same about it, you just have to look beyond what it is for and see the whole picture.

CPC Blog Hop - Give Thanks to the Lord

Well good morning ladies! It is already time for the blog hop at Christian Paper Crafts and the theme of this hop is Give Thanks to the Lord!

And, I want to thank my Lord for what He has done for me! So I decided to make a card using the verse God gave me when I use to worry about everything. When I read this verse, I realized that God wanted me to give all my worry and anxiety to Him. So every time I felt the anxiety or worry consuming me, I would quote this verse and then say, "Lord you are the only one who can take care of this and the only one that can take this anxiety away, so here it is Lord back in your hands." I eventually learned that I could not handle the problems, but God could and could give me peace at the same time. I also learned that when I tried to do things on my own, wow, what a mess I would make, but when I allowed God to be in control and lead me things sure turned out a lot better and I could lay my head down at night in peace. So now "with thanksgiving", I can present my request to the one God that can take care of it all! So here is my card:

Isn't this a great verse! I also am using this card for two other challenges. The challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs Blog is all about cards with TAG! T= Thankful, A= Appreciation, G= Grateful. You can use an actual tag, create a card that is thankful, shows appreciation, or conveys gratefulness, or you can combine a tag with the themes. Hopefully my card show all three as I am Thankful, I do Appreciate what God has and is doing for me and I am so very Grateful! Also the Bible Verse Thursday Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts is to make a project using this verse or another verse which follows the theme of receiving God's peace through prayer.

October Workshop

Well good afternoon all! This evening I will be having my workshop and it is sure to be a fun one! I am excited about what I have planned for them tonight. Just hope they are as excited as I am!

Our first project will be this wonderful fall scrapbook page! I figured since it had so much detail, we would get it out of the way first!

As you can see I actually used three different stamp sets! We will be creating our own designer paper by using the french foliage which you can see on the left hand side of the 6 X 6 piece. We will be using a Alphabet stamp set for the letters of FALL! And we will be using the Notes and Detail stamp set for the journaling area on the upper right hand side! You can use 3 photos as I have it laid out or if you take off the journaling you can use four photos!

Next is a card that I decided to use because it will be quick and easy!

And of course not to leave out my hostess for this workshop, this is what she will be receiving!

This is what is called a box in a card! It is held together with a band and on the inside, you will find these wonderful tags!

Gift Card Holder

What do you think of this gift card holder. One of the girls who is in my stampin' up! club works in the biology department here at the university and of course she makes all their cards and even bags for birthdays etc. Well the girls in the department decided to get her a Stampin' Up! gift card for Boss' day this week. So since they were all giving it to her, I thought why not attach the gift card to a card so they can all sign it. So that is exactly what I did! I make my own gift cards for my Stampin' Up! business so it was easy to make it the gift card size to go into this great holder. Last year I loved this stamp set and this year I had not even pulled it out until today. What was I thinking? Anyway, I am finally using it and very happy with the outcome. What initiated this card? The Stamping 411 sketch that was posted yesterday! For some reason it just spoke to me and I automatically reached for this stampset. You can find the wonderful sketch here!

And, another challenge that initiated this card is the SULateNightStampers Group! Our challenge this week is "1-2-3 Challenge -make a project that using one stamp set, two embellishments and three colors!" So that is where the 3 colors came from - Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, two embellishments - Always Artichoke Seam Binding ribbon and Stiched Felt Winter Wishes Mittens, - one stamp set is the Bells & Boughs. OK, I just realized I might have cheated if you would think the Petals a Plenty embossing folder is a embellishment. I am thinking that is just an Accessory! What about you?

Well I have told you everything I used on the card except for markers, blender pen and the Shimmer paint mixture that I spritzed on it to give it a little shimmer. And it is just enough to make it sparkle. Wish you could see it in person.

Stocking Builder Punch #2

Good Sunday Morning to each of you today! Here is another card that I did using the stocking builder punch and one of the possibilities for my Stamp-a-stack. It is actually between this one and the one yesterday! So check back and let me know what you think.

With this one I used the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing folder and gave it a shimmer by using my mix of Frost White Shimmer paint and 70% rubbing alcohol. I will tell you that you do have to let it dry before putting the adhesive on it or it will not stick very well. The drying only takes about 5 minutes. So you can be stamping the stocking and punching it out while that is drying. Also when using the embossing folder, cut the piece a little bigger than you normally would in length and in width as the embossing will draw it up some. Then trim the excess after you emboss.

The red is cut at 4 X 2.50 and the very vanilla is cut at 4 X 2.25. The Pear Pizzazz is cut at 4 X 3.25 and then using the scallop trim border punch on each side brings it down to about 2.75. So that is the measurements of the center pieces of the card!
