SPARKLE

Well I just love this Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! It is called Urban Garden and you can use it with out stampin a image. I just added a bit of sparkle to the flower image on the paper and made it my focal point. You really can't see the sparkle as well on this but I used the stampin' emboss, iridescent ice. The card has a bit more sparkle when you are looking at it. I used the Card Patterns Sketch 17 for the layout of the card. Very nice sketch.
Ingredients:
Stampin up products: Designer Series Paper - Urban Gardens. Card stock - Baja Breeze. Stamp Set for Sentiment - Warm Words. Grosgrain Ribbon and brads.

Snappy Birthday

I did this card for the Sketch Saturday Challenge and of course it is their one year birthday. So Snappy Birthday to you! I also used the color combination for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which were Pink, Turquoise and a hint of brown. Then after I had completed the card, I saw that Charisma Cardz challenge was all about dots and more dots. So there you go, three challenges in one card. I think that covers it all. I actually decided to use this card for my niece who will be turning 11 on June 20th. I just love this crab and I knew she would like it. So it worked out great. Thanks for looking.
Ingredients:
Stampin' Up! products: Stamp Set - Crab & Company (retired). Card Stock - Pretty in Pink, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White. DSP is retired. Found it in my old stuff. It just seemed to go with the color theme. Ribbon - Chocolate Chip. Brads - Pretty in Pink from soft subtles collection.

Beach Pictures

These are a couple of pictures that I took of my granddaughters Saturday morning at the beach. They love the water and the sand. One is 4 and the other is 6. That is why I love staying near the beach. You get up and go to the beach for 3 hours, go home and shower and then get everything else done. It is so much fun and very relaxing and you don't have all that travel to do. Fun! Fun!

Butterfly Garden

This was a really fun card to do. Took a lot of time cutting the flowers and butterfly out, but somethings are worth the time. This is my first time doing the Pink Elephant Challenge and this card design was great. I used the Stampin' Emboss Iridescent Ice on the flowers, leaves and the butterfly. It really made it sparkle and I am all about sparkle. I also popped up the butterfly and flowers and embossed the "Happy Birthday" Sentiment.
Ingredients:
Stampin' Up! Stamp set-God's Beauty and It's a Party. Card Stock: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White. Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin' patterned paper. Classic Ink - Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette.

Octogon Card

I just love this shape. It was a little hard to get the inside paper straight and as you see, I never did. But as my daughter says, "it just adds character". lol I did it for the Friday sketchers challenge and added some sparkle to the flowers and the oval for the Cute Card Thursday challenge, but it does not show up very well in the picture. Also, Three Clovers designs challenge was to do a card other than rectangle or square. I think this one qualifies.
Ingredients:
Stampin Up: Stamp Set - Upsy Daisy and Sweet Little Sentiments. Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss. DSP Paper - Urban Garden. Punch - Oval Scallop. Silver brads. Stampin'emboss Iridescent Ice.
Thanks for looking!

Upsy Daisy

I use this stamp set quite often and really enjoy it when I do. This card was inspired by 2 challenges. Card patterns Sketch 16 which is where the sketch came from, and Color Throwdown is where I got the color combination. I would have never thought about using Bordering Blue, Elegant Eggplant and Barely Banana together. I usually use a pattern paper, but with these colors the card pops out without the pattern paper. This sketch was easy to use just the plain card stock with also.
Ingredients:
Stamp Set: Upsy Daisy. Card Stock - Elegant Eggplant, Barely Banana, Bordering Blue, Whisper White. Buttons - Fresh Favorites II. Cuddlebug Border. Ribbon - AC Moore

Mini Scrapbook with Designer Series Paper

This little mini album was inspired by a video that is on my stampin up web site. Our church does a bingo night with a retirement senior community the last Tuesday of every month. So while I was there one of the ladies who loves cards was telling me how her mother was so excited about her birthday and knowing she would get a home made card. I started telling her about this mini album and so I went home and threw this together in less than an hour so I could show it to her at church tonight. It would be a great gift for someone who loves getting home made cards, plus this family had a family outing this past weekend and took pictures. Anyway, this may not be my best, but not bad for a quick sample. To learn more about how to make this mini album and a few other album, please click on this link and it will take you to my stampin up web page. Then click on the Scrapbooking with Designer Series Paper video, bottom left.
Also remember, right now you can purchase 3 designer series paper packs and get 1 free. What a deal. You can also do that while you are on my web page or click here to shop now. Thanks for looking.

The designer paper I used is retired. Use 3 flower punch (retired) and the large oval punch and scallop oval punch.

MOJO88/Cupcake Challenge

What a wonderful weekend! Spent this weekend with family and friends and did some card making and scrapbooking. Beautiful weather and all made it a great time. But it is back to work tomorrow, so I thought I would get these two challenges out of the way. Mojo Monday sketch and cup cake challenge which was 2 colors, 2 shapes and 2 pieces of ribbon. Another birthday card and all with the help of these two challenges. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Please check out the Mojo Monday blog. They have a challenge going on to help Alzheimer's'. A wonderful cause since I am dealing with that very thing with my Dad right now. At least most of the time he still remembers me, but it is a cruel disease.
Ingredients:
Stampin Up products: Card stock - So Saffron, Cameo Coral, whisper white. DSP - Walk in the Park. Stamp Set - Bitty Birthday. Punches - Scallop Circle, 1 3/8 circle.

Friendship Card

What a weekend. Between going to the beach, grilling out with family and friends, going to church and still making time for scrapbooking and card making. Could you really ask for more. It has been a great weekend and I still have an extra day to play. Will probably go to the beach tomorrow morning and then do a little more scrapbooking and maybe another card. We will see.
This card is following Three challenges and when I saw the one from Creative Corner for the sentiments as a focal point, I knew I was going to use this retired set from stampin up. I just love it. The sketch came from Sketch Saturday and the pink and brown came from High Hopes Sunday Challenge. All came together for this card.
Stampin Up products used: Stamp Set - Friendship Flowers (retired). Card Stock - Pink Pirouette & Very Vanilla. DSP - Candy Lane, Bella Birds. Punch - Retired 3 flower. Chocolate Chip 1/4" ribbon.

Mother's Day Scrapbook Pages

Well I finally did Mother's Day. I actually cheated a little and took the first page from the sale-a-bration mini book. Then added the second page. I thought if I could scrapbook what was current and do Christmas in between, I would soon catch up. Or, do we ever catch up. This was pretty quick once I decided how I wanted the pictures. Now go out and scrapbook a couple of your own.

Ingredients:

Stampin' Up! Card Stock - Certainly Celery, Kraft. DSP - Delicate Dots (from sale-a-bration). Punches - 3 heart punch, scallop border. Flower Brads and Prettiest Kit Flowers.

All occasion card

Here is the second card for this afternoon. Of course, another challenge inspired it, Friday Sketchers. Isn't this a beautiful sketch. I just love square cards, but try to stay in the 4 1/4" range due to extra postage. Boy am I cheap. I also came up with the flowers, lace and pearl from another challenge, Charisma Cardz. I did not realize how much lace could really add to a card, but it turned out wonderful. I was happy with the final results. So, now with two cards down today, I think it is time to start scrapbooking. I have a lot to get caught up with.

Ingredients:

Stampin' Up! Products:
Stamp Set: Every Day Celebrations. Card Stock - Baja Breeze, Whisper White. DSP Paper - Parisian Breeze Specialty

Par-fect Day

I do believe I have become a addict to blogging, if blogging is a word. I am only working half days on Friday for the summer and as soon as I got home, I had to look and see what was new on challenges. Which, is what inspired this card. Stamps, Paper, Glitter is where I got the
sketch. Isn't it wonderful. It was so easy and what made me choose this stamp set was Cute Card Thursday. You had to have a sports theme and I don't have that many stamp sets related to sports. So golfing had to do it. And then came the colors which I took from Three clover Designs challenge, use black, white and one other color. So here is what these three challenges brought out. I thought is was rather charming (lol). I do have some birthdays coming up soon and this will add to my stash of cards.
Ingredients:
Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set - And Many Mower. Card Stock - Whisper White, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango. Water Color Pencils
Non-stampin' up!
Paper - The glitter stack from AC Moore.

Butterfly Card

I just love this stamp set by stampin' up!. You can do so much with it and when I was trying to decide what to use for this color challenge at Color Throwdown, Lavender Lace, Old Olive & Elegant Eggplant, as soon as I came across this set, I knew it was the one. I would have never thought of using these colors together, but they really are great together. The sketch comes from Inspirational Card Sketches and it was also great with this stamp set. I am now finally getting my card stash back up to par, except my daughter came in this morning and took two birthday cards. Now I have to do some more birthday cards. I think I need to start charging her. lol

Ingredients:

Stampin' Up! Products: Stamp Set - Flight of the Butterfly. Card Stock - Lavender Lace, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant & Whisper White. Ink - Lavender Lace, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant. Punch - 3 flower punch (retired). Half Back Pearls from Prettiest Kit.

Non Stampin' Up! - Cuddlebug for background.

Baby Card

I am trying to get my collection of cards back up and at this time, I have no baby cards. Well this sketch from Cupcake Craft Challenge really made me think of a little girl and here it is. And of course it worked out beautifully because Timeless Tuesday Challenge was to go square. So I was able to get two challenges in card.
Ingredients:
Stampin' UP! products -
Stamp Sets - Wild about you, Cuddles & Tickles (retired). Card Stock - Confetti Cream, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette. DSP - Candy Lane. Ribbon - 5/8 " striped grossgrain Pink Pirouette. Brads - Flower Assortment. Ink - Close to Coco, Pink Pirouette. Thanks for looking.

Forever Friends

Well here we are again and it is MOJO Monday time. This was a little harder to do than usual. I just could not get the small square quite right, but I think it turned out OK. I tried to add glitter and few other things to get a better look. I also combined another challenge, Stamptacular Sunday Challenge which was to use the colors green, pink and brown. So that is where the paper came in. I really like the paper which is in the "Sweet Nothings" simply scrappin' kit. Actually everything came from that pack except for the flower stamp. Those kits can be a great help in getting everything to match. I just love them. I also combined one other challenge which was a can you doodle challenge from High Hopes Sunday Challenge. They are all a lot of fun and really make you think. Thanks for looking.
Stampin' Up! products were used: DSP Paper - "Sweet Nothings" Simply Scrappin'. Card Stock - White, Close to Coco, Riding Hood Red. Stamp set used was "Close as a Memory". Markers - Ruby Red, Old Olive.

HELLO

I just love this card, I guess because I love this stampin' up! stamp set, "Classy & Fabulous". I actually started out with the Sketch from Sketch Saturday and then combined two other challenges, Saturday Challenge which was to use glitter - and Our Creative Corner challenge which was to use the colors regal rose, certainly celery, bashful blue and a neutral color. As I was going through some of my old papers from Stampin Up, I came across a simply scrappin' kit called "Just Delightful" which had every color in the challenge and I knew it was what I needed to complete this card. It always feels good to get rid of some scraps that you have laying around and that is exactly what I did. So, don't forget to go to your old stuff. It may be what was needed to make an awesome card.

All Stampin' Up! products used and mentioned above except for the glitter which was Diamond Stickles. The "Hello" came from a retired set called "great greetings." Thanks for looking.

My granddaughter's birthday was yesterday and it was a wonderful day. They had a blow-up water slide and I think could have stayed in that all day. The kids had a blast and all turned out wonderful. I recommend the water slides. You will definitely have rave reviews from the kids. Here are a few pictures. Toooo Fun!

Happy Birthday

I took today off to work in my yard and of course it is raining. I did get some work done, but tomorrow is another day. So while I was waiting for the rain to stop, I thought I would work on some more challenges. Here it is. Color Throwdown actually decided my colors and then Timeless Tuesday decided the sentiment "Happy Birthday" and Our Creative Corner is where the sketch came from. That was my first visit to Our Creative Corner . Also our Saturday Challenge for brads or eyelets and Funky Fairy Challenge for flowers and bling. Please check Funky Fairy Inspiration Papercrafts out. The background paper came from them and it was a free download. Hope you enjoy looking.

Granddaughter's 4th Birthday

Well I have finally got to November 08 with my scrapbooking. Now, I made my GD a little book for her to remember, but I am finally getting to my scrapbooking, 12 x 12 two page layout, again and I am way past due. My daughter said this was not my best, but when you are trying to make up for lost time, they don't always turn out the way you want. But it is good enough to keep. Hopefully I will share more scrapbooking with you later. I do have a scrapbook class on June 4th where I will be doing a 4 page layout. Hopefully that will keep me up to date with the pictures I am taking now. Let's only hope.

Stampin Up Products used: Stamp set - Party Hearty, Roller - Time to Celebrate, Card Stock - Green Galore, Pink Passion and Whisper White, Classic Ink - Pink Passion, Circle Cutter and Scallop Edge, Corner Punch.

Color Throwdown #41

What did I tell you. I'm hooked! lol This is my first time entering the Color Throwdown, but as you can see with all my cards, Baja Breeze seems to be my color of choice. It just seems to work well with the other colors and when I saw this color challenge to use Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and Certainly Celery, I knew I had to give it a try. My husband is a stampin widower now....

Stamp sets - Upsy Daisy, Flight of the Butterfly. Card stock - Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery and Riding Hood Red. Classic Ink - Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery and Riding Hood Red. Ribbon - Riding Hood Red Taffeta.

Worm Bugday

Hello everyone and hope your week has started out wonderful. I made this card last night for the Mojo Monday Sketch and also the Cup Cake Craft Challenge. I don't use this set as much as I would like and thought it would be good to represent both challenges. I like the challenges because they make you think about what would work the best and of course you kind of get hooked on them. They are a lot of fun and keep you stampin and posting.

Stampin Up Products - Stamp set - Bugs & Kisses, Card Stock - Baja Breeze and Basic Gray, DSP - Urban Garden. Punch - scallop edge. Thanks for looking!

Sketch Saturday

I am really getting a little too involved with these sketches, but I really enjoy looking at a sketch and deciding which stamp set would look good. This is a card I did for the Sketch Saturday Challenge. I really thought the layout was great and knew which stamp set I wanted to use. I thought it really turned out cute.
Card is 4 x 4. I used stampin up products - stamp set is Dear Friend which is a Hostess Level 1 set. Card Stock - Whisper White and Baja Breeze (I seem to use this quite a bit.) DSP is Parisian Breeze Specialty (which is quite thicker than the original DSP.) White 1/4" grosgrain Ribbon. Oval Scallop punch and large oval punch. Retired Flower Punch (SU). Thanks so much for looking.
Also took a lot of pictures this weekend by visiting my Mom for Mother's Day and today with my two daughter and their daughters. I am planning on doing quite a bit of scrapbooking in the next few weeks. I am still working on November and Christmas Pages and would love to at least catch up in the next couple of months. Keep looking, you may see Christmas in July! lol.

Retirement Card

I was asked yesterday by one of my co-workers if I could do a retirement card for our Associate Dean who would be retiring. Even with all I have to do to get ready for Thursday's card class, I could not say no. I enjoy this too much. So I put this together last night. She loves the beach and is planning on spending a lot of time there, so I thought this would be very appropriate.

Stampin' Up! products used are: cardstock-Baja Breeze, Pacific Point (in-colors) and very vanilla. Classic ink - Not Quiet Navy. Water color pencils, Ribbon - 3/8" twill tape. Stamp set - retired - Seaside Sketches.

MOJO85

Well, this is my third entry into the Mojo Monday Sketch. I really do enjoy doing these challenges especially when I needed another Mother's Day card. It also keeps me posting. I was so busy this weekend getting ready for my card class this Thursday that I was unable to scrapbook like I wanted. It is really a challenge when you work a day job and then put together classes and workshops in the evening. But I truly love making cards and scrapbooking and I love sharing my ideas.

This card is put together using all Stampin' Up! products. Card stock - So Saffron, Baja Breeze. Designer Series Paper is from the current Occasion Mini catalogue - called "Walk in the Park". I also used the "Summer Love Rub-ons" in the mini. The ribbon is 5/8 inch striped grosgrain Baja Breeze. The Happy Mother's Day was done on the computer.

Princess Card

This is the birthday card I am giving my Grand Daughter who will be 6 on May 19. I found this digital download of a castle at In Style Stamps and thought it would work great as a background for her card. Then of course in working with the card, it became the main focus. I also have added it to the cup cake craft challenge for this week. Even though it was not what I originally wanted, I thought it turned out quite well.

All the other products used were stampin' up! products. Cardstock is Pixie Pink, Not quite Navy, Confetti Cream and White. Stamp set was Perfect Princess. I used the Water Color Pencils, Pixie Pink classic ink, 1 3/8 circle punch and the scallop punch.
