Twick or Tweet

I can't believe I actually did the MOJO Monday Sketch on a Monday. It has been a while since I was able to sit down on a Monday night to do a card. I have already used this set, ready for order tomorrow, but I just love it and of course will be sending out Halloween Cards to my family. I think they now are use to it and expect a card on Halloween. Of course I asked my husband what he thought and he said, "a little busy isn't it." What does he know about stampin? Actually I listen to him quite often because he does have a good eye for cards. So if you think it is too busy, please let me know. Thanks for looking!

Getting it Right

Well I worked on trying to get the perfect card for a workshop I am doing on Thursday and as you see, it took four tries. All were OK, they were just not what I wanted for the workshop. But in the process, I am four cards to the good for my Christmas card collection. Quite a few more to go. I will not tell you which one we will be doing at the workshop, but to me it was the most elegant and with this stamp set coming out on Tuesday, I definitely wanted to use it as one of the cards. The reason we are doing Christmas cards is because that was what I heard people talk about the most. I guess everyone is thinking Christmas cards and I will definitely use them.

I am not going to do a list of items since there are 4 cards, but if there is any one that you would like to know what was used, please let me know by leaving me a comment and I will get back to you and let you know. Thanks for looking.

Sick as a Dog

I was so excited that this stamp set worked with the MOJO Monday sketch. I have been wanting to use it and just could not get the right sketch or find the time. This was the right sketch and the right time. It just seemed to work perfectly along with this wonderful DSP. Stampin' Up! out did their selves this time with their DSP. I would love to have them all. It took me a few weeks to get into the in-colors also, but now I just love them. Change is so hard sometimes. lol Thanks for looking and if you see anything you like, please go to my Stampin' Up! website to shop.

Two Christmas Cards

I was having a good time after church last night and made two Christmas Cards. I am having a workshop next Thursday Night with the girls I work with and I know we will be making the card with the Peppermint Pattie and one with the Merry Moments Stamp Set. Both are new stamp sets available September 1st. I can hardly wait to start showing them.

The first card is for The Pink Elephant Challenge and I knew I would be able to use this set with that layout and I was thrilled. This is the first card I have made using it. I actually added some glitter to Baby Jesus' Halo to make it stand out.
I just love this new set and know it will be a big hit.
This second card was done just to see what it would look like and to see if I did want to use it for the workshop, and I thought it turned out great. My husband liked it also. I actually cased it from "Splitcoast Stampers "BobbiLu". Click here to go to her gallery. It was just what I wanted to show the Sweet Centers Set and the new Sweet Centers Cups. Thanks for looking.

Fun Times

This was a 2nd page to my prior post. It just took me a few days to get around to finishing it. I also got this sketch from Scrap Sketch. It makes it so much easier to have a sketch at times and then there are times it seems to fall right into place. It was August Guest Designer Sketch 7. Wonderful sketch. I decided to journal more around the pictures, but there are times I feel like the journaling is more important than pretty. I still love these pictures and wanted to include them with the father's day theme, since it was father's day pictures. Thanks for looking.

Father's Day Layout

I was looking at father's day pictures and realized I had not scrap booked them. So I got them out and started. There is a blog out there that I have found and I think I am hooked on it. I got this sketch from them and it is called Scrap Sketch and this is Friday's Sketch. They do something everyday, so you need to check it out. I will be looking at them daily. I actually have a few more sketches I hope I get to this weekend. Things have been so busy I barely have time to work any more. I just have to slow down, but so much is going on with my family now and I am constantly running from home to there. Oh well, enough of the sob story and back to the page. As I was saying, check out the Scrap Sketch blog. They are actually having a blog hop this weekend.

Enjoy Every Bite

Halloween is usually not my favorite time, but when I saw these stamps in the new holiday mini that comes out September 1st, I just had to have it and it is a great stamp to demo. And of course loved the DSP this year in Stampin' Up!'s big catalog. They use a lot of the regular colors which I really like. Of course this sketch from Mojo 100th sketch helped out a lot. It was a wonderful sketch to be able to pull out the new set and the Halloween paper. And, of course there is a dog and I love dogs. Enjoy!

Get Well

I don't know whether this is good or bad, but school started back this week and of course with school comes football games and my Husband teaches high school history and is a part of the coaching team. That means from now until who knows when, I am a Friday night football widow. But the funny thing about it is, I was excited to be able to stamp and not be bothered. Is that being bad? I don't think so!
Any way, with the MOJO 100 celebration, I did two cards tonight, would have done a lot more but had to clean up my stampin room first. It was a mess. This is one of the two cards I did. I just love these colors together and this sketch was great for this stamp set. There are always times you need a "get well card" and this turned out great.

Trick or Treat

I just love to get new items. I have actually had this for a week, but have been so busy I haven't had time to stamp. I told my husband last night, I was getting anxious and needed to check out my new stuff. (too funny, but true)

I saw this sketch on the MOJO challenge and knew I could use this set and of course it worked. By the way, MOJO is celebrating their 100th sketch anniversary and in doing so, they have a sketch for every day this week. You may want to pop over there and see all the neat cards their team has put together for this week. Gives me a lot of inspiration.

This is one of the new sets that is coming out in the "holiday mini catalog" that starts September 1st and of course the little treat cups are also new. I can't hardly wait to start demoing them and as you can see, could not wait to share it on my blog. So, this is a preview for you Halloween lovers. Thanks for looking.

Anniversary Card

Today is my anniversary. I can not believe I have been married for 35 years. Of course, I don't look like it and yes I was a baby when I got married. lol These 35 years have been a whirlwind of events, but I must say it has been wonderful married to my husband. He is a great man, father and husband. "I love you Russ".

And now back to the card. I used a sketch from "A spoon full of sugar challenge". It just seemed to match what I needed and happened to be laying on the table when I sit down to make the card. Of course I could not post until today, because he does check out my blog occasionally. Thanks for looking and please leave a comment.

Well, can you believe that this stamp set is from Stampin' Up! This is a new set that will come out in the "holiday mini catalog" September 1st. I just had to use it for my great nephews birthday today. I received it on Wednesday, but have been so busy with my Dad that this was the first chance to do something with it. If you think it looks like the "build a bear" series, you are right. Stampin' Up! has teamed up with Build a Bear. Also I got the sketch from this card at "Card Patterns" Sketch # 27. I thought it would work great for the card and for the stamp set. So if you are interested, on September first you can go to my Stampin Up web site and order or e-mail me at grammytotwo@live.com and I will be glad to help you. Thanks for looking.

Party Hearty

Well it has been a busy weekend preparing for a workshop I got next week, but I am one of those if it needs to be done, do it early and then you can play more. So now that I have everything ready for that, I can play again. This is a card I did for the MOJO Monday Challenge and also for the Pink Elephant Challenge which was to use the colors Brown, Turquoise and Neutral. So here they are. And I thought it turned out rather well. I also did the inside of the card which I have started trying to do more of. It really does not take that much extra time, but adds a great deal to the card. I hope you like it. Thanks for looking!

My First Christmas Card of the Year

Well, I made this card last night and was not happy with it and then when I got home from work today, I looked at it again and decided to add some shine or glitter to it. Well once I did that, it actually seemed to be a little more to what I was looking for, so here it is! My first Christmas Card of the year. One down and too many to go. I got the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge Blog. So go check them out.

Hello There!

I really enjoyed doing this card and thought it turned out rather well. This is the sketch from Mojo Monday Sketch and I knew I wanted something with this stamp set that I had not used in quite a while. I really need to clean out some of my old stamp sets, but as soon as I do, then I will need it. I also incorporated the Pink Elephant challenge (3 brads, flower and DSP) for the week and the Stamp Something Challenge which was "paper piecing". Both of the blouses on the stamped image are DSP paper. I just love to piece paper for clothing on images. It make it look so much better and of course is not that hard to do. Just takes time to cut it out. I also

decorated the inside of the card. I just love to do this and it adds so much to the card. Don't know why I do not do it more.

Stampin' Up! items used unless otherwise noted.

Stamp Sets - Totally Cool (retired), Cheep Talk (hello there).
DSP - Walk in the Park (retired)
Card Stock - Basic Gray, So Saffron, Whisper White.
Ink - Basic Black
Ribbon - So Saffron

Flowers were from AC Moore

Happy Birthday

I worked most of today on getting the cover of my granddaughter's scrapbook finished and with the left overs decided to do this challenge from Stamp with us Sunday Sketch. I just love this designer series paper "Pink Flamingo". It is so bright and cheerful and of course when you think of bright and cheerful you think of the Stampin' Up! stamp set "Flight of the Butterfly" and now Stampin' Up! has the butterfly punch that goes great with this set. You no longer have to cut the butterfly out, just use the punch. What more could you ask for? There are so many different way of stamping the butterfly, but I decided to use the flowers on the inside. It seemed to keep the theme going here. I also used the Real Red Card stock and a happy birthday from a stamp set that retired from the last mini in June, "And many Mower". I also love the circle cutter that Stampin' Up! now has and it is so easy to use. If you have not tried it out, you must. Thanks for looking.
