SU LateNightStampers Challenge / Add Sparkle

Happy Monday to you all! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend.  I stayed busy the whole weekend so it was rough trying to get things back to normal today, but I did.

This weeks challenge at Late Night Stampers was to add some sparkle to your project.  So I added glitter to my velum and to the snowflakes that make up the tree and added rhinestones as decorations.  I actually saw this on Pinterest and decided to case it.  Still looking and finding cards I want to do.

Here is a side view of the card!

Punch Art Wreath Card!

I love to use my punches to create a card and as you can see in this card, I used 4 different punches.  It just seems to create a different card with a lot of character.  And, this one was so easy to make.  You could make this one in duplicate quite fast.  It is another one of my cases from pinterest, but I changed it up a little.  It came from the Stampin' Royalty blog, but there was no direct link so I could not link it to one certain person but thanks for the inspiration.

Here is a side view of the card!

Pop up Christmas Card

I am so excited to be able to share this card with you.  It is my first pop up card and even though there were a few minor problems, I am really happy with the outcome.  I was inspired by my session over at Stampin' Fun and Friends.   The front was inspired by our challenge this week which was a sketch and of course the inside was inspired by one of the DT's projects for us.  So without further ado, here is the side view of the card.

With this view you can see one of my minor flaws.  The inside kind of bent with the glue drying from adding the glitter for the snow and now to see the inside so you will know what I am talking about.

Is this just not the cutest card.  I actually used two retired set that I have called "Jolly Holiday" and "Patterned Pines."  Isn't that just the cutest Santa.  Here is a closer look at him.

And so you can see the sparkly snowflakes in the background, here is an even closer look.  But look behind Santa!

Did you see it?  Just beautiful in person and they are spread all over the back of the top inside behind Santa.  And one more view so you can see the snow better!

Thanks so much for looking today and hope your Thanksgiving was blessed and you have a blessed weekend!

This past Saturday we had a stamp crop and I just had fun making cards that I had been wanting to do.  This was one of those cards that I cased off of Pinterest and I love the outcome.  Some of my favorite Christmas cards are red and white and that is why I used this as my first card for this weeks challenge at LNS.  Isn't it just beautiful.  Of course I have to give credit where credit is due and "garken" is her Splitcoast Stampers ID.  Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Here is a side view of the card!

And of course the inside is decorated!

Hymn & Scripture Challenge #15 / Though Troubles Assail Us

When I first saw this hymn, I did not think I had heard it.  But, as I listened to the words and to the music, I then remembered singing it in my husbands church years ago when we were dating.  I thought of it as a Methodist Hymn which is where he was going to church at the time.  Isn't it funny how we associate things we hear in other Christian churches as their song when after re-looking at this Hymn it is a song for all Christians regardless of the denomination.  God is our strength and He will provide for us in all circumstances.

Let's look at each verse of the song and see how it relates to our lives as Christians.

1st Verse
Though troubles assail us and dangers affright,
Though friends should all fail us and foes all unite,
Yet one thing secures us, whatever betide,
The promise assures us, “The Lord will provide.”

You see regardless of what is going on in your life at any time, danger or a friend who fails you, we still have the promise of our Lord that he is right there by our side providing us what we need.  Psalm 34:17 says, "The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles."

2nd Verse
The birds, without garner or storehouse, are fed;
From them let us learn to trust God for our bread.
His saints what is fitting shall ne’er be denied
So long as ’tis written, “The Lord will provide.”

"Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" Matthew 6:26  You see God will provide for us what we need in this life to sustain us.

3rd Verse
When Satan assails us to stop up our path,
And courage all fails us, we triumph by faith.
He cannot take from us, though oft he has tried,
This heart cheering promise, “The Lord will provide.”

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2  He is our fortress and our deliverer and through him we defeat Satan for the Lord is our salvation. Praise the Lord forever!!!!

4th Verse
He tells us we’re weak, our hope is in vain,
The good that we seek we never shall obtain,
But when such suggestions, our graces have tried,
This answers all questions, “The Lord will provide.”
They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the LORD, “to deliver you.” Jeremiah 1:19  You see with God we will prevail, we win as His children.

5th Verse
No strength of our own and no goodness we claim;
Yet, since we have known of the Savior’s great Name,
In this our strong tower for safety we hide:
The Lord is our power, “The Lord will provide.”

6th Verse
When life sinks apace, and death is in view,
The word of His grace shall comfort us through,
Not fearing or doubting, with Christ on our side,
We hope to die shouting, “The Lord will provide.”

And now here is a look at my page!  I chose Psalm 18:2 as my verse and also wrote the 1st verse on here.

Please stop by and see Patter's post on this wonderful Hymn.  She has a wonderful way of sharing Christ with others.

I used My Digital Studio for this page!

I am also using this in this weeks Word Art Wednesday!

SULateNightStampers Challenge / Christmas Giftables

Our challenge this week at SULateNightStampers is Giftables!  It can be quick and easy or as extravagant as you want.  So I decided to put together these cute little coasters.  I bought the tiles from either Home Depot or Lowes for very little.

I started by putting a coat of Modge Podge on them and attached our Stampin' Up! glitter paper. I put another layer of modge podge over that and then cut out the center scenes from Stampin' Up!'s designer paper "Snow Festival" which I love and again covered that in Modge Podge and let dry.  After it dried, I put three separate spray coats of sealer on top letting each coat dry before the last. (I used the glossy sealer and know some use the matte sealer)  So in hours it probably did not take even an hour, but actually took me two days to finish the process to get everything dry in between.  But that gives you time to work on other things.  Yea!

Here is the final version of the gift all stacked and ready for giving!

Just what you have always wanted for Christmas, right?  I do love the shimmery look and the outcome.  Thanks for stopping by and please let me know if you have any giftables. I am always in the market for something new.

Baby Shower Gift and Box

One of the ladies I go to church with is having her first grandchild and is a boy!  I did a scrapbook for her to give to her Son and daughter-in-law for the shower and the theme was Noah's Ark.  So I decided to make these cute little picture holders to go along with the theme.  Aren't they just the cutest photo holders?  I was well pleased with how they turned out.  The scrapbook was a big hit also and I still need to post it at some point.

Now here is all three of the photo holders with the card I gave them also.  You can actually see the post of the card here.

And now all boxed up in this cute little decorated box I threw together with retired papers and ribbon.  A wonderful way to get rid of all those papers you have stashed that is retired and what a great way to showcase a baby gift.

All Papers (retired), Ribbon (retired), and Stamps are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Two by Two (card), Wild about You (giraffe on box stamped and then cut out, retired)
Animals on the photo holders were from a pack of random stickers I had picked up on clearance.
The charm on the box is also a clearance pick up!  Gift box is from Stampin' Up! Kraft Gift Boxes - 4 boxes for $2.95

Thanks for stopping by on this Monday and I should have my SULateNightStampers challenge ready to go tomorrow so stop back by.

Bold Snowflake

I ordered the new single stamp called Bold Snowflake which also can be used with the Blossom Punch. I think I really like it.  Actually I used another card from pinterest that used the mixed bunches stamp set and cased that card.  I used a few different places for the snow flakes here, but it is mostly the same as the one Linda Creech did.  Since I could not link to her card, here it is!

As I said, I positioned a few more on my card, but the idea is still the same.

Here is a side view!

I also used the inside to stamp a image of the snowflake from the same paper I punched the snowflake from.

I actually used the white craft ink and sponged around the sides of the white paper.

There is also a sparkle to the card as I spritzed it with my Shimmer paint spray I made.  To really see it, you may have to double click on the image to see it larger.  Very pretty and shimmery!

All items used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted!
Stamp Sets: The Sounding Joy, Christmas Lodge (inside), Bold Snowflake
Card Stock: Whisper White, Midnight Muse
Frost White Shimmer Paint
Blossom Punch
Silver Shimmer brad (uncertain where it came from)

Thanks for looking and hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

Lovely As a Tree Fall card

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today I have another Pinterest card, challenge this week at SULateNightStampers, to share with you along with using this card for the SUO challenge and for the Stampin' Fun and Friends challenge.  How cool is that?  Not often I get 3 in one shot.  But I will say that this is the card from Pinterest done by Doris B. that inspired my card and you can find the details of her card here.

I changed mine up a bit and made it a 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 size card and added a little color to the tree, added a button, and also color to my highlighted leaf.  I was very happy with the outcome.

Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Good Thursday morning all! I have been busy this week and have not had time to post this card I made on Sunday.  I actually wanted to make another card to post with it since I left out a key element of the challenge over at Sunny Challenges and Creations.  They always have a second part and I know this, but my mind is on getting my Christmas cards done and the rest just went out the other side of my brain.  Things have been doing that a lot lately.  The second part was sympathy.  Well I did use the sketch, so I will post it over there anyway and if I do get a chance I will try to make another card.  We can always use sympathy cards.

Here is a side view of the card!
