Glory Art Rewind 2018 - Forgiveness

Good Morning everyone.  Hope your week is going well.  As you know, I have just started my journey on this Bible Journaling adventure and so far, I am loving it.  It was so scary the first time I did it as I did not want to mess up my page.  Well I have come to the conclusion that no one seems to see the mistakes, but me, and some of them are big.  Plus I get so into it and what I am going to write on my page.  It is just what I need to relax and enjoy God's Word.

I am also enjoying my return to the Glory Art challenges by Patter Cross and this month's challenge is on Forgiveness.  You can find her great post here.  I love her post and hope you drop by her blog to check it out.

As I thought about forgiveness and all the things that have happened to me in the last 5 years, all I could think about once I saw the scripture, Ephesians 4: 29-32 was that we all need to Be Kind to One Another AND Forgive!  Ephesians 4: 29-32 says, "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

As I thought on these verses and all that happened between me and one other person, and how everything got thrown all out of proportion, and then when I ask forgiveness and even bare my soul to this person, talk is spread even to the point that they try to pull my daughter in and have her take sides.  I had no idea this was going on until my daughter finally told me.  I knew there was talk, but to try and sway my daughter, wow.  Needless to say, it has taken me years to finally get this out of my mind and not to think about it daily.  I would pray and cry out to God to help me to just forget it, and finally as I continued to pray and ask God for His help, I have finally forgiven this person for what she has done and I really fill sorry for her.  It took me away from a church that I love, my husband and I and also my daughter, but God has blessed us with another church that is such a blessing to us.  I do know that we have to be careful how we handle things as it did begin with me trying to tell her something in love about hurting someone else and she got upset with me and I did not finish my conversation in the best way.  That was the reason for my apology to her and to ask her to forgive me.

God asked in these verses that we should let no corrupting talk come out of our mouths, but only such is good for building up.  He also says to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave us.  I have to forgive!  It only holds you captive when you continue to hold on to unforgiveness.  From experience, I am saying if you are holding on to unforgiveness, cry out to our Savior to help you to overcome.  I can say with all honesty, He has helped me to do just that.  I now can speak to this person, pray for this person and love this person.  I could not do that without my Lord and His strength.  I am so excited to be able to share Him with others and also share how He forgave me.

This is my journaling for this challenge of Forgiveness.  And, since this is only my 3rd journaling experience in my new bible, I can say it is my favorite thus far.

Thanks for stopping by and hope that God has blessed you with His word.

Hold On to Hope

Good Morning everyone!  I am so excited about this new stamp set from Stampin' Up! and also the dies that you can purchase to go with it.  It is called Hold on to Hope Stamp set and the Cross of Hope Framlits.  I made these cards along with duplicates of some last weekend and just getting around to posting.  The first one below I have already sent to a friend you just found out she has cancer and started Chemo last week.  I thought the message on the front was perfect for her.  It was so easy, as I stamped the cross in a light color and stamped the message on top in a lighter color.  Found some old designer paper (have tons of this stuff) and matched it all up.  So easy even a beginner could do it.

The two below, I used the stamps and used one of my markers to color the stamp, I stamped it and then used the die to cut it out.  I then cut out the cross using a die and kind of wrapped the vine around it.  Used a die for the little butterfly also after I stamped it.

And, wanted to make a manly card, so I did the same as the first only found some more designer paper that looked more manly and matched the colors to it.

Hope you enjoyed your time with me today.  I will say that my inspiration came from Pinterest.  There is so much out there and all you have to do is add your touch to it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Glory Art Rewind 2018 - Compassion

Happy Saturday afternoon to everyone.  Hope your day has been blessed.  I decided to work on the second Glory Art Rewind 2018 study.  The word for this study is compassion.  Patter had a wonderful post to share with us on Compassion.  You can find it here.

I am still not sure how I feel about my Bible Journaling, but I believe if it comes from the heart, then it is beautiful to God.  And it does come from the heart.  When I searched compassion, the verses that stood out to me was Michah 7:18-19, Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercyYou will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

I am so thankful for a God who has COMPASSION on me to the point that He delights to show mercy on me and not only that, He forgives my sins and hurls them into the depths of the sea.  I can never ever thank him enough for that.

Here is the journaling I did this morning for this study.  This is only my second journaling in my Bible, so i am learning how this is done.  I am hoping that before I finish this year, I will know what I am doing.  But for now, I will go with my heart.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed my journaling.  May God bless and keep you!
