It was so fun to make and so easy as I used my digital studio to print the paper. I used the Designer Series Paper tab as the background and then on the long side I added a tear paper in whisper white and then added whisper white to make it to all the way to the edge. (If you are unsure of what I am talking about, please feel free to e-mail me and I will be glad to send you a picture, and may add that later once I get home, of the page from my digital studio.
I then printed it on 8 1/2 X 11 whisper white paper. So really all I had to do was score, use the extra large decorative label punch to punch the holes for the Vellum to be placed, which was stamped with Dasher. Then I add the snowflake and dazzling diamonds glitter which was adhered using the Multipurpose liquid glue, and the rhinestones and you have it. All complete. You can also use two papers and use the tearing method to make this card and use the Candy Cane Christmas paper as the top of the Luminary.
This is a corner view and with this view you can see the candle light better. Now it is not a regular candle, but a battery votive candle which is very inexpensive. By the way, all 4 sides are using the Dasher stamp, so it does not matter how you turn it when you sit it out. That is the best thing about it. Following is a closeup of the stamped image and the snow.
This card is one I posted a while back, but I wanted an easy Christmas card for this workshop, so this is the one I chose. I knew with doing the luminary we would need a super easy card and this one was just the ticket. To find out more about this card, go to this post. It will tell you all the items used.
Now, I am really proud of this box! I made it especially for the Hostess gift which will follow this picture. I just measured and then cut the paper to the dimensions I needed. I have them at home and will try to add them, if I don't forget, when I have a few moments. It of course was made with the Cherry Cobbler card stock and then added the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper. I just love that paper.
This is the top of the box and you can see that I made a slit in each side of the box to run the ribbon through. It just seemed to work out better. Also, my hostess can use it again if she would like. I also used the stamp set Delightful Decorations and then punched it out using the ornament punch. Love that punch and that stamp set.
Now to see the ornament that I made to go into the box. I actually used the cherry cobbler ink refill, dropped about 20-25 drops into the glass ornament and then rolled the ornament around until the ink covered the whole inside. Then using the stampin' glitter "Fine Galaxy" (used the gold one) I poured some inside and then rolled it around and dumped what did not stick to use it again. So that is where the sparkle comes from. I then ran a piece of whisper white card stock through the xyron machine, punched out a snowflake and then pulled the backing off to adhere it to the glass. The only thing I wished I had done and will do when she opens it tonight is put a rhinestone in the middle of each snowflake.
Thought I would show the close up of the glitter on the inside along with the white of the snowflake. I am sure you could dazzle the snowflake with even more glitter on it. May try that on the next one.
Thanks so much for looking and please let me know what you think. Have a blessed evening everyone.
Beautiful!!!
