It's a Zoo out there!

The theme for this weeks challenge at SU Latenightstampers is It's a zoo out there!  And, you are to use an animal on your project whether it be a card, scrapbook page, altered item, as long as you use an animal.  So since I am still in the spring mode, I thought I would add some spring to my card and use the Forest Friends stamp set and the Silhouette Sentiments stamp set.  I also use the Easter Blossoms stamp set for the sentiment on this card.

To make this scene, I actually tore a piece of paper and first of all sponged on the old olive and then afterwards, I sponged the sky with marina mist and a touch of riding hood red.  I then stamped the trees in wild wasabi and with a early espresso marker colored the bottoms in a little, but left some of the green.  Then I stamped our little deer in the middle.  Of course his face looked a little green, so using the white gel pen, I made it white again. (you can actually mask here if you would like before you start sponging)  I then took the small flower from the Silhouette Sentiments and colored it with a marker, the flowers in Riding Hood Red and the stems in the Wild Wasabi.  Once all of this was done, I made the bottom piece and then the sentiment and attached.  So very easy!

All items used are stampin' up!:
