As I was thinking about this challenge and the song, Trust and Obey, I thought Lord help me to always be dependant upon you, to trust you and to obey you. That is my heart desire is to have such a relationship with my Lord that when people see me, they see Christ in me. I love the 1st verse of this favorite hymn:
When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
To be happy in Jesus, we do have to trust and obey! I know, for I have tried to do it without Him and it all seems to fall down around me. Oh what peace he bestows upon me when I listen and trust Him! That is what prompted the verse I used on this page which is Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." Isn't it nice to know that when you lean on Him, trust Him, He will lead you into the path you are suppose to take.
Here is my page that I did for this challenge!
I used My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up! and they have a digital paper with this little girl standing there. And when I saw it as I was going through my papers it just seem to say "choose me". And so I did and boy am I glad. The page turned out just as I wanted it to.
Now don't forget to check out Patter's page as she is the one who prepares these challenges for us and she does such a great job. So stop by her blog and let her know what you think. And, I will leave you with this version of the song Trust & Obey by Big Daddy Weave!
Blessings to all my wonderful friends out there in Cyber Land!
I will be linking this with this weeks Word Art Wednesday also!
Nice page. The flowers are great too.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I really want to live by is "Obedience brings blessings." And in our life, God has been continually asking, "Do you trust me?" With all the challenges we face day in and day out, it really all boils down to "Trust and Obey!" It's great to make art with God's word on it - it embeds it in our heart somehow! Blessings! Jonia, this is a beautiful page. It looks so dimensional with all the "layering" that it's hard to believe that it's digital. The scripture on your page fits so well with our Word Art Wednesday scripture this week...trusting in the Lord and casting all your cares on Him. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHi Jonia! we haven't talked lately & I'm sorry. Was thinking about you the other day. Hope everything is going well. I've been enjoying my new grand daughter :o) Can you see my huge smile?!
ReplyDeleteLove this layout. The girl is so whimsical and the scripture is perfect.
