Well it is time for my Hymn and Scripture Challenge to be posted since we only have the rest of this week before the next one comes out. I really am enjoying these challenges and love checking out the others who participate in it. We all do such a variety of pages, journals, etc. And it is also great to see how each one of us describes the song in our creation.
With this Hymn, which I have sung since I was a little girl, I couldn't help but to think of a fountain of blessings which is where the umbrellas and flowers come from. When the rain is poured out on the ground in the spring, you start seeing little flowers popping up everywhere and I just had to add that into the page I did.
I also concentrated on the second verse with my scripture choices as I thought how many times I have strayed from God. Yet each time, he reached out and pulled me right back into His loving arms. What mercy He shows to us daily.
Here is the second verse of this fabulous hymn:
Here I raise mine Ebenezer;
hither by thy help I'm come;
and I hope, by thy good pleasure,
safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
wandering from the fold of God;
he, to rescue me from danger,
interposed his precious blood.
I am so thankful that my Lord sought me, for without Him I do not know where I would be. And, all the times He has rescued me from danger I cannot count.
Here is the song
Please check out Patter's post as she talks more about the song and has some wonderful scripture to go along with it.
My Digital Studio was used to create this 6 X 6 page.
I am also entering this into the Word Art Wednesday Challenge.
Hope you all have a great afternoon - evening!
