Sweet N Sassy Cookie

Well here is a card I made for two challenges, both Sweet N Sassy.  One is there sketch challenge which is The Sweet Stop, and the other challenge blog is Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenges.  The Digi Challenge was to use bling, so you can see my bling and even used red glitter for the bow in cookies "hair".  I know you can't tell, but I used the versamark pen to fill in the tea pot and the tea cup and then used the clear embossing powder with a little glitter added in to get the porcelin look and it turned out beautifully.  Here is a close up of the tea pot and cup and I also used the flash on this to get it to highlight even more.

Here is another angle!

Good Monday Morning friends! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Mine is just not long enough.  Seems as though I leave work on Friday and Monday morning is here before I know it and back to work I go.

This week our challenge at SU Late Night Stampers is to do paper piercing on your project.  I actually chose the challenge this week and really wanted to use the new paper piercing set by SU.  I am already loving it.  I used this weeks sketch by Stamping 411 for this card and I do love the sketch.  Please stop by their blog and check out all the wonderful sketches they have and one more thing, if you want dimensions for the cards and layers, they give them to you.  Makes it a whole lot easier at times.

Here is a side view of the card!

Story Time DSP/Itty Bitty Banners

I have been wanting to use this Designer Paper called Story Time and when I saw "Try Stampin' on Tuesday's" sketch, I knew I would have to use this wonderful paper as the focal point on this card.  Isn't it just the cutest?  So with this card, I used a lot of my new stuff and boy do I love it all.  Well, I even love my old stuff, I just love to stamp! lol  The itty bitty banners stamp also matched up perfectly with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  Loving all these new framelits.  Makes it much easier to put the sentiment on just about anywhere.

Here is a side view of the card which I like better.

SULateNightStampers Challenge - Use Insects

I do love this stamp set called Mixed Bunches and when I saw the sketch this week at Sketch Frenzy Friday, I knew this was the one that I wanted to use.  But then I had to put some type of insect on the card, for our challenge this week at SULateNightStampers is too use an insect, whether stamp, punch or whatever.  So I did have to look it up to confirm that a butterfly was an insect and yes it is, so I used the beautiful wings embosslits die for the two butterflies.  Did you notice that my sentiment is a little crooked.  Just adds character to the card, a quote from my daughter. lol

Here is a side view of this card!

Fashionable Birthday

Isn't this just this cutest card!  I actually got the image and the sentiment from My Digital Studio (MDS) and then cut to the dimensions I needed the paper  and attached to this square 4 1/4" folded card base.  That way I can mail in a normal envelope with no extra charges.  The sketch is from this weeks clean & simple sketch challenge and I turned the sketch.  And, I already have a recipient for it as I forgot to mail her card this past Thursday.

Here is a side view of the card!

You can almost see in this one how the sentiment is puckered a little on each side of the middle to give it some dimension.  I love this card!

Again, the image and sentiment came from MDS.  The card is a 4 1/4" card with the card stock being Night of Navy and Whisper White.  I used the 1/8" Night of Navy and Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.

Now to share with you the tags I made to go on our Father's Day treats for Sunday.  I made the whole sheet in MDS and then cut it at 2" X 4 1/4", used the Corner tag punch and then punched hole in top and ran ribbon through it.  Here is how it looks finished!

And here is all of them! Yes we made the chocolate covered peanuts ourselves!

And then where I started from!

Thanks for looking and hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Stamping 411 meets My Digital Studio

Well good Wednesday afternoon all.  I am excited to be able to show you my hybrid card I made using My Digital Studio (MDS) and the sketch this week from Stamping 411.  What I did was make the top part of the card in MDS, print it out, cut it out and layered it on the Not Quite Navy card stock.  Then I added the pearls and the ribbon.  That is all with the outside.

Here is a side view.

Now on the inside, I did stamp using the stamp set Mixed Bunch on the whisper white card stock with blushing bride classic ink.  I also used the stamp set called Blessings from Heaven for the sentiment on the inside and stamped it in Not Quite Navy.  So here is the inside.

Thanks for looking today and hope you have a wonderful evening.

Fun Fold Card

I have been wanting to do this card since I did one like it at a stamp club meeting and when I saw the challenge at Sunny Challenges & Creations this week which was to make a fancy fold card, I knew this is the one I would do.  Actually I am not sure of the name of the fold, but Nancy Lewis showed it to us in one of our stamp camps a couple of months ago.  I am also using this for the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week which is to use Red, White and blue.  So here you have it.

The following photos show the card from a total open stage until the closure stage so that you can see how it works.  Also, if you know the name of the type fold it is, please let me know.

Fully Open!!

Close left side!

Now close the right side!

Partly open on both sides!

OK, there you have it.  Such a fun card to do.  Here are the dimensions of the card.

Card Base: Whisper White, 8 1/2 X 4 1/4, score at 3 1/2
Layer 1: DSP on the Whisper White, 3 1/4 X 4
Layer 2: Real Red, 8 1/2 X 3, score at 4 1/2. Attach longer side of Real Red to longer, right side of base.  Whisper White should open to the left and real red should open to the right. (real red will be on the top of the card.
Layer 3: Navy, 2 3/4 X 3 3/4 on top of the red (on outside)
Layer 4: Whisper White, 2 3/4 X 2 3/4
Layer 5: DSP 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 on top of the Whisper White
Layer 6: Navy, 2 3/8 X 2 3/8
Layer 7: Whisper White, 2 1/4 X 2 1/4 (on top of the Navy)
Punch flower or stamp on top with whatever you would like to decorate it with.  In our class, we used the cupcake punch and put a sentiment on the white also.

So there you have it.  Stamp Set is Mixed bunches and the punch is called Blossoms Punch, both Stampin' Up!  Stamp set on the inside is called Blessings from Heaven by Stampin' Up!

Thanks for looking and hope your day is blessed!

Flip Book for SULateNightStampers Challenge

Good Monday Morning all!  I am so excited to be able to share with you today my sample for this weeks SULateNightStampers challenge which is ABC (Anything but a card).  So for my project I made a Scrapbook Flip Book and I am loving the way it turned out.  I was visiting my friend, Nancy's blog last week and saw the flip book she made and knew I would be doing it for my grandson's 1st birthday scrapbook and since he would will be 2 in July, I knew I had to do it quickly. You can see Nancy's flip book here and for the wonderful video of how to put this book together, check out this wonderful tutorial video which Nancy sent to me.  Now on to my my flip book.

First off about a month ago I saw Stampin' Up! was offering a digital kit called "Ahoy Matey."  Well right off I purchased the kit knowing I would use it for my grandson's scrapbook.  And when I saw the flip book, I knew it would work for that also.  Some of the items I did purchase at Michael's, but most of the stickers and elements, I printed and made them myself from the SU Kit.  It was a lot of fun.

Now for the first photo!  This is the book all tied up and ready to give to my daughter for my grandson!

And here comes the opening of the book!  And I just decided to keep this page blank.  My daughter may change it and that is OK.

Open now to his first photo with his eye patch on.

Now to another section of flip photos and the book completely open!

Flipping through the first flip section!

Now to flip through the little book!  Isn't this just the cutest albumn!

The second and third page of the little book!

And the invitation that was sent out.

Hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed showing you!  Now it is your turn to make one of these wonderful books.  The link is at the beginning and thanks for stopping by.
