Adding to Baby Book - 11 months

Happy Thursday all!  This last week and a half has been a whirlwind of emotions for our family.  Last Monday, October 20th at 1:45 am our 5th grandchild was born, a little girl weighing 7lb 1oz and she was absolutely beautiful.  That was such a blessing and such a joy.  Of course I was on my way to Virginia at the time of her birth and we finally arrived and saw our little Ansley Grace at about 4:45 am.  Yes we drove all night and it was worth it.  She is doing wonderful and so is our daughter.  I will be sharing a few photo's at the end of this post of our sweet little granddaughter.

Then on Wednesday, October 22nd we get a call that my husband's brother had a farm accident and he was killed.  It was such a shock and we are still dealing with the shock of that.  I must say though that we know he is celebrating up in heaven.  He was such a great husband, father and brother, so please continue to pray for our family.

Well I am trying to get the rest of my grandson's baby book finished as now I need to start on Ansley's book, so I thought I would share his 11 month page with you.  One more page to share and his book will be complete.

Isn't he just the cutest little boy!  Now he has a little competition with his little sister.  Here are a few shots I took of our sweet baby!

With Big Sister!  She was so excited.

With Big Brother!  He did not want to let her go.

Coming Home!  How cute is that?

What a blessing in the midst of such sadness!  She is what kept us smiling.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you all have a blessed and wonderful rest of the week.

Sketch 338- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday and welcome to another week of our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  I don't usually do square cards, but I decided to do this one square for the sketch and I always do them in a 4 1/14 square as I can use a regular envelope for them.  And, I really did like this sketch and loved the way it looked.  I also used some retired stampin up designer paper that I just love and brought the colors together beautifully.  So here it is.

And I thought I would let you see the tree as a close up.  I used sponge daubers to add the ink to the stamp.

As you can see, I tried not to add too much color as the leaves are falling off and I wanted the actual limbs to come through.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't miss out on seeing what the rest of the design team has come up with.  I know you will love them and want to join in.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch 337- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Welcome to our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a great week.  I decided to use one of the stamps I purchased last year called Joyful Christmas.  I loved the embossing on velum and coloring it in from the back.  So that is what I did with this one.  I embossed it in gold and then colored it in from the back, cut it out and adhered to the card.  It was hard to get a good photo with the all the gold, but I finally got one by laying the card flat and shooting down.

I also added some of the striped gold velum to the inside of the card and embossed the message in gold also.  Still hard to get the gold to be the right color.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to stop by and check out the rest of the design team samples.  I know you will love them and then show us what you created from the Monday Lunchtime sketch.  I can't wait to see it.

Wall Art for Baby's Room

As I have written in some of my past post, I am expecting my 3rd granddaughter at anytime.  Actually she is due next week, so I was rushing to get the canvases done for the baby room.  My daughter just finished getting it all together this past weekend, so I am not that far behind.  I finished last night and will take with me to Virginia when I get the call.  As you can imagine my phone is never far from my side. lol

So here are all four of the canvases together.  The "A" is for Ansley.

And to get a better view here they are separately except for one flower as they are pretty much the same.

I actually using one of my Stampin' Up! markers did the chevron pattern on the canvas.  And, I made the little roses on the corners of the "A" and the saying with the Originals Flower Spiral Bigz Die from Stampin' Up!  I used whisper white paper and once rolled, I then sponged the edges, and then smashed the flower down.  Love it.  The saying I got from a little book and then put it together using "My Digital Studio," printed it out on cardstock, cut the frame out and adhered to the canvas.  Easy!

I will say that Pinterest helped with the ideas of the "A" and the flower in the center of the canvas.  I love Pinterest!

Thanks for stopping by today and let me know what you think.

Sketch 336- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Hello all.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Now it is time for our Monday Lunchtime Sketch and I am ready with one of my favorite stamp sets so far.  I have only used this one a couple of time, but I am growing to love it.  It is called Holiday Home from Stampin' Up! and it also has framelits of the little homes to go along with the stamp set.  Love that!

So without further ado, here is my sample for this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch.

I actually sponged the top of the scene with midnight muse ink, left the bottom white, stamped all the images except the house, put a little of white on the trees, added dazzling details (like glitter glue), then stamped the house on a cardstock by itself, colored and then using the framelits cut it out.  Easy, easy!  I used dimensionals to adhere the house.

Here is a close up and still don't give you the glitter effect it has.

And yes, the inside is complete.  I used an old stamp set on the inside called City of David.

OK, now it is your turn to show us what you come up with by using our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  For more inspiration check out our design team's samples.

I am also adding this to the Word Art Wednesday, Anything goes challenge.

Enjoy your Monday!

Adding to Baby Book - 10 Mths

Well Happy Thursday everyone.  I have had some more pages completed for my grandson's baby book, but been so busy I have not had time to post.  So I thought I better get the last few pages complete before I start on my soon coming granddaughter's book.  She is due to arrive on October 24th, so you know what that means.  Get everything else done so I can work on her for a while and then continue on my other 4 grandchildren.  I just love them all.  So anyway here is the 10 Month Page for my sweet grandson who is now 19 months old and just a sweetie pie that gets into everything!!!!

I had to do a Christmas page for this one since he was 10 months on Christmas day and yes he was already running around like a pro.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Sketch 335- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

It is time for our Monday Lunchtime Sketch again.  Hope you played along last week and looking forward to you playing along this week.  I am so excited about our sketch this week and I know you will be also.  So here is my sample for this week.

I just love how this card turned out as I used the Wonderfall stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I have had it a long time along with the die that comes with it, but this is the first time I have used it this year.  Why have I not thought about this before, stamping the stamp and then putting the cut out die on top of it.  Just adds a little more dimension to the leaf.

And I even added the left over paper from the Woodgrain embossing folder to the inside, along with another acorn.  How cute is that?

Now I can write a sweet note at the top and still have a cute inside.  Love, love this.

Hope you will join us today for our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  And, don't forget to check out the design team samples to get some more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by.
