60th Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday, actually Fat Tuesday here at UNCW.

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for my boss' 60th birthday.  How cute is this?  Her favorite color is pink, so I used the pink base for the card and then used designer series paper and vanilla cardstock for the rest.  Hope you like it.

I have got to get back to really taking good photos and posting more often, but at least you get the idea behind this cute card.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Sketch 328- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone!  I always have to say this to make sure when I see it, I am having a happy Monday!  For me it is back to work and for the last year, my job has become very demanding and stressful.  But I am working through that with help from the Lord.

Welcome to our Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  This weeks sketch was perfect for the card I wanted to make for my husband for our "40" anniversary, which was yesterday.  I wanted something cute that really said it all.  So I went back in time and chose a stamp set that I have not used in quite some time, but used a lot while it was active.  It is now retired SU, but one of my favorites, Things I Love.  And, I do love all those things, but as the inside of the card says, but most of all you.  Here it is!

Can you tell I made it as masculine as possible?  I have a friend I follow who made a card with a girl in red cowboy boots and if I could have gotten hold of that digital stamp, I would have.  It would also have been perfect because when we got married, we were both country, country.  Traveling with the military got a little of the country out of us, but it could not get it all. lol

Now here is the inside which I chose a few different stamps just to add a little more of our character to the card.

Now isn't that just a mess!  But the kind of mess I wanted.  You can't stay with someone 40 years without saying all of this.

Hope you enjoyed my post today and don't forget to go check out the rest of the design team samples.

Sketch 319- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday!  Getting started with this post a little late today, but forgot to take my flash drive with me to work.  That is what happens when you have the busiest weekend ever.  Not really, but did put a lot of things into this Father's Day weekend.  Anyway, Our Monday Lunchtime sketch is just awesome this week.  You may want to just play along with us.  I used this as an opportunity to make my Nieces 16th birthday card.  I sure hope she likes it.  On to my card!!!

I did use the sweet from the stamp set Baby We've Grown and placed it by using my Stamp a ma jig.  Gotta love it!  And for the inside, I found this verse by searching and changed just a few things.

She is so excited about driving and her birthday is Saturday, which means she has to wait till Monday to get her license.  She is really upset they will not open on a Saturday for her.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope your week is blessed!

Sketch 316- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Well Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!  I would like to say thank you to all who have served and are serving us in our military today and also to the families of the ones who have given their lives to keep us free, THANK YOU for your sacrifice.  Thanks to my husband for his 20 years of service and to my Son-in-law for his 12 years and continued service.

Now on to today's Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  I needed a 90th birthday card for a sweet and dear lady in our church and a wonderful part of my Sunday School class, so when I saw this sketch it was perfect for the card I had in mind.  So needless to say, I went to work and this is the outcome.

I just thought this designer paper was perfect for her and for the card.

Of course I had to decorate the inside and add a verse I found online and yes I used my digital studio to put it all together.

And I could not finish with just this, I had to make an envelope to match, so I used my envelope framelits.

So there you have it.  And, her daughter asked me if I would do a photo book for her mom, so I am going to put a gift card in side from me to do the photo album for her after it the party.  I hate to say, I will not be able to be at the party as I am scheduled to spend the weekend with my mom, but we will also celebrate her on Sunday morning after her party and I will be able to be there for that.

Make sure you go check out the sketch for this week over at Techno Stamper and you do not have to use Stampin' Up! products even though she would love for you too.  So please join us this week.  You will be glad you did and make sure you check out the rest of the design team's work.

Sketch 302- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone and hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I did some cleaning in my craft room, but before I finished, I had to make this card for this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  My grandson will be one next week and this coming Saturday we are going to Virginia for his birthday party.  I had purchased some of these recordable cards from the Stampin' Up! Clearance rack (actually 4 since I  have 4 grandchildren) and this is the first time decorating them.  I really like the way it turned out.  So now you can see what they look like decorated.

I really did like Mary Jo's sketch this week and knew I would use this cup cake builder punch along with the stamp set to do this card.  I also used the Birthday Basics designer paper and the banners framelits.  Now the Happy Birthday embossing folder I used is one of my first and oldest and it was one I purchased the day I got my cuddlebug years ago before Stampin' Up! started selling the embossing folders.  But I had to use it on this card since it was a first birthday.

Now for the inside of the card!

I used the Memorable Moments to say Happy 1st Birthday, and I also used the #1 as the candle on the front of the card.  And as my dear friend Nancy says, I fussy cut the #1 out and popped it up a little.  Love that Nancy!!!  So now my husband and I need to record message on here for my grandson.  Hopefully he will be able to keep it for a long while.

Now don't forget to stop by Mary Jo's blog and check out the other DT samples along with hers.  Hope you have a wonderful and blessed week.

LNS/TSSC Monday Challenges

Happy Monday Morning everyone and hope you had a fabulous weekend.  I had a great weekend and am still waiting on my Grandson to arrive, but it should not be long now. Due date is Saturday, but I think earlier this week.

This week Mary Jo has a wonderful sketch for us for our Lunchtime Monday Sketch and I combined it with our Late Night Stampers challenge  of Happy Birthday.  If you remember a couple of weeks ago I made another card with this stamp set and the same numbers.  Well not only do we have a friend who will be turning 63, my brother turns 63 March 3rd and we are so blessed to have had him for 63 years as he is down syndrome and was not suppose to have lived into his 30's per the medical doctor 63 years ago.  So each day we have him longer we feel truly blessed.  So that is the reason behind have two birthday cards with the same age on them.  Actually our friends birthday is March 1st, two days before my brothers.

Now here is a side view of this card.

All items used are Stampin Up!
Stamp Set: Memorable Moments
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse
Designer Series Paper: Comfort Cafe
Top Note Die
Labels Collection Framelits
Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Masculine Birthday Card

Today I thought I would share with you a quick and easy card that I made for a friend of ours who will be turning 63 very soon.  I got the sketch from our Stampin' Fun and Friends site.  Along with all the blog post ideas, you also have challenges you can play along with.  They showed their first post yesterday of a fabulous card and the design was called a Double Wiper Card.  It was fabulous and I am hoping to get one done at some point.  I have joined Stampin' Fun and Friends for the past two sessions and this time I am actually a part of the design team. Exciting!  I have learned so many great things and gotten so many ideas from these two sessions and I am sure I will this time around. $20 to join and the link is above!
