LNS Challenge 231 / Sketch 279 - Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Well it is Monday Morning and I am here to share my samples with for our Late Night Stampers challenge - Teacher Gift, and our Monday Lunchtime Sketch from Mary Jo.  Again Mary Jo has a wonderful sketch for us and please go over and see her sample along with the rest of the DT and please join in.  And, how did I combine the challenges?  I actually used her sketch to make a pack of cards for the Teacher Gift.  So here are the cards!

I actually started off making this card which was a 4 layer card and when I was finished, I thought this is just too busy for me.  You will have to tell me what you think and I may make another to match the others for the gift.  Just let me know what you think in the comments and it will help me to make my decision.  Maybe I am becoming a more of a clean and simple stamper.

Now here are the rest of the cards starting with the one that will be in the front of the pack.

And with this one, it shows the envelope that I made to go along with each card!

And on the inside of each, I did a sentiment, but not the same.  This is just to give you an idea of what it looks like.

And of course here is the pack of cards for my Teacher's gift!

I may put a ribbon around it or something to give it a little more of the gift look, but it really does not need it.  What do you think about that.  Love these easy cards.

I thought I would share another pack of cards with you that I made for our Gateway Landing Ministry Auction this past Sunday Evening.  It turned out wonderful and a couple of these packs went for $30 which I was very happy about. There were 5 cards in each pack and were put into clear boxes with a ribbon around them. Each of them had a different sentiment on them for all occasions.

Two more of the cards!

The other card in this set had a Thank you on it.

Set of Cards for Auction

Well we are wet here in Eastern NC as the rain is coming down.  But I am working, so that is OK and it would be OK even if I were not working as we need the rain.  I did want to share with you all today a set of cards I made for a fund raiser at our Gateway Landing Open House we will be having Sunday!  The only problem is I would like to make about 5 packs, so that does mean I will be busy over the rest of this week making cards.  I would like to make one set masculine, so I will see how that works out!  I will be putting these into a clear box and wrapping it with ribbon, but have not got that far as of yet.  Anyway, here is the set of cards!

As you can see, I did a Sympathy, Birthday, Thanks, Get Well, Happily ever after!  I actually used the retired set for the bottom two cards as I just love those "curvy verses" and I think it worked well with these cards.  Actually I may use the sentiments on all the cards.  I'll just have to see.  Anyway, this was pretty easy to do and I love the turn out.

Here is a little different view!

And a close up of the "Happy Birthday" one!

I used markers on the stamp to keep from using the same color all around!  And, I made all 5 of the cards in less than an hour which includes cutting out the paper, punching the border, coloring the image and stamping.  That is less than 12 minutes each.  I thought that was pretty good!

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Curvy Verses, Simply Sketched, Serene Silhouettes
Card Stock: Whisper White, Rose Red
Ink: Rose Red
Markers for coloring stamp
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch

Thanks for stopping by!

LNS Challenge 221/TSSC261 Monday Lunch Time Sketch

Happy Monday Morning and welcome to this weeks challenge for the Late Night Stampers and for the TSSC Monday Lunch Time Sketch.  This week at LNS we are celebrating - yes whatever you would like to celebrate from graduation to birthday and anything in between.  And yes, again I combined the two challenges as this was another busy weekend, but a wonderful weekend as I had about 20 family members in town for my dear grandson's dedication.  What a blessing!

So, I decided to make my dear granddaughter a birthday card from the sketch to celebrate her birthday coming up in mid May.  She will be 10 - yes double digits and I can't believe I have a 10 year old granddaughter almost.  Anyway, she loves flowers so I thought this sketch was the perfect one for her birthday.  Here is the front of the card!

Here is a side view!

Clean & Simple 4 Card Set

Last Night I made a 4 pack set of cards for a friend of mine who is having a surprise birthday party today.  She loves butterflies and so I did a Happy Birthday, Get Well, and 2 Thinking of you cards.  I also added sentiments to the inside.  I was really pleased with how they turned out, but not so much my photos, but this was a quick take so I could get them wrapped.

Here is one of the cards with the envelope!

And another card by itself!

Each card was made just alike except for a different sentiment added!

Triple Layer Stamping

Isn't this just the coolest technique and one I love doing.  Actually here is a video of how you can do this wonderful card using whatever stamp you would like!  So easy and really so quick.  I wanted to go fall since this week's challenge with LateNightStampers is to "Fall into stamping."  This is actually my third post this week with a fall card.  But with each one, I have used a sentiment that could be used at anytime.  With this one, get well as I would like to send this to a lady in our church who has been out a while sick.

Here is the side view!

And the inside of the card!

Elegant Butterfly Punch

Wow, can you believe I made a card tonight.  Well my husband is back into the football mode with high school, so I am the Friday night widow for the next 3 months.  I am excited when it starts but love to see it end also.  This card was inspired by the sketch frenzy Friday sketch this week.  This is another item I have been wanting to use and just got around to it.  I am loving the new butterfly punch and the stamp set that goes along with it.  Now this embossing folder is one I found at AC Moore by Darice and it was on sale for under $3, so I could not resist.  And after making this card I now know why.

Here is a side view of the card.

I also spritzed it with Gold Glow Smooch Spritz.  Here is a close up which gives you a little idea of what it looks like.  Click on the photo and you will see a bigger image.

And yes, I did do the inside.  It has just become a habit now.
