Suo only challenge-Happy Birthday

There is a new challenge over at Stampin Up Only challenge blog. For this challenge we were to make a birthday card. Sitting there on my table was the Create A Cupcake stamp set, so I Thought just use that.  And as I was going through my embossing folders, I found the SU Confetti Embossing folder and it had never been used.   Also, the center of the confetti embossing folder was an oval, so I used the Oval dies.  So, here is the outcome!

Thanks for stopping by, now go get those old stamps, dies, punches, and embossing folders out and make some cards.

Sketch 320- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready to start your week with a challenge.  Yes, Mary Jo has a wonderful Monday Lunchtime Sketch for you and you will love it.  There are so many different ways you can go with this sketch.  And now here is my take on the sketch.

I decided to use the cupcake punch and the Create a cupcake stamp set.  I also used the polka dot embossing folder for the cupcake tops which I love.  I colored the dots in with marker.  Close up here shows it is not perfect but you really don't notice it.

Now don't forget to stop by Mary Jo's blog and check out her Monday Lunchtime Sketch along with all the DT's samples.  They are really wonderful and so many ideas.  Can't wait to see what you come up with.

LNS Challenge 243/Sketch 303- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone.  Hope your weekend was a blessing and you have a wonderful start to the week.  And, so to start this week, I have a card for you that brings back a lot of early memories in stamping.  Why you ask?  Well I am a punch lover and probably have every punch that Stampin' Up! has made except maybe one or two.  Regardless the challenge this week with the Late Night Stampers is to do some punch art.  So I again have combined the two challenges.  So needless to say, I used the Monday Lunchtime Sketch, which was great for the punch art I used.  So here you go!

To make the ice cream sundae, I used the following: 2 1/2" Circle punch for the bowl and cut it in half.  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch for the base of the bowl and cut it in half.  For the ice cream I used the 1 3/8" scallop punch.  And for the cherry on top, I used the 1/4" punch and put a nick in it and cut a piece of black card stock for the stem.  Isn't it just the cutest.  For the sprinkles I used the stamp from Create a cupcake stamp set.

And I wanted you to see that I popped up every layer so here is the side view.

And of course had to work on the inside and used the sprinkles stamp at the bottom!

Hope you enjoyed this card and hope you stop by and check out our DT samples at LNS and Monday Lunch Time Sketch.

Have a great week!

Sketch 302- Monday Lunchtime Sketch

Happy Monday everyone and hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I did some cleaning in my craft room, but before I finished, I had to make this card for this weeks Monday Lunchtime Sketch.  My grandson will be one next week and this coming Saturday we are going to Virginia for his birthday party.  I had purchased some of these recordable cards from the Stampin' Up! Clearance rack (actually 4 since I  have 4 grandchildren) and this is the first time decorating them.  I really like the way it turned out.  So now you can see what they look like decorated.

I really did like Mary Jo's sketch this week and knew I would use this cup cake builder punch along with the stamp set to do this card.  I also used the Birthday Basics designer paper and the banners framelits.  Now the Happy Birthday embossing folder I used is one of my first and oldest and it was one I purchased the day I got my cuddlebug years ago before Stampin' Up! started selling the embossing folders.  But I had to use it on this card since it was a first birthday.

Now for the inside of the card!

I used the Memorable Moments to say Happy 1st Birthday, and I also used the #1 as the candle on the front of the card.  And as my dear friend Nancy says, I fussy cut the #1 out and popped it up a little.  Love that Nancy!!!  So now my husband and I need to record message on here for my grandson.  Hopefully he will be able to keep it for a long while.

Now don't forget to stop by Mary Jo's blog and check out the other DT samples along with hers.  Hope you have a wonderful and blessed week.

TSSC265 Challenge

Good Monday morning and Happy Memorial Day all! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and hope this holiday is wonderful.  First let me remind you that our LNS challenge is now going for two weeks and if you are looking for that challenge, see this post!  This card of course was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Techno Stampers.  Please join us this week for this fabulous sketch.  Since today kicks off our beach season here in Wilmington, NC, I thought I would use the seashells that we have. I just love them.  What I did here was to used the embossing technique two ways.  I used heat embossing on the sentiment and the shells and of course used the perfect polka dots embossing folder for the background.  Here is my sample!

Here is a close up of the embossed shells and sentiment!

Happy Monday Morning and welcome to this weeks challenge for the Late Night Stampers and for the TSSC Monday Lunch Time Sketch.  This week at LNS we are celebrating - yes whatever you would like to celebrate from graduation to birthday and anything in between.  And yes, again I combined the two challenges as this was another busy weekend, but a wonderful weekend as I had about 20 family members in town for my dear grandson's dedication.  What a blessing!

So, I decided to make my dear granddaughter a birthday card from the sketch to celebrate her birthday coming up in mid May.  She will be 10 - yes double digits and I can't believe I have a 10 year old granddaughter almost.  Anyway, she loves flowers so I thought this sketch was the perfect one for her birthday.  Here is the front of the card!

Clean & Simple - Or is it?

OK, I have another card that I did for this weeks challenge at SU LateNightStampers which is suppose to Clean and Simple, a lot of White!  Well this really was a simple card to make, but does it look like it.  Actually it was inspired by a sketch over at Sketch Frenzy Friday which was a pretty CAS sketch.  And, the card from start to finish only took 20 minutes so that is pretty Simple to me. I really do like this card and love the mixed bunches stamp set along with the punch.

Here is a side view and really shows how the inside had not laid down quite yet because of the embossing on the bottom of the paper.

And the inside also!  I think once it is closed for a while it will not be so wrinkled looking.  But even if it is, it is unique to me and as my daughter says "adds Character."

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Mixed Bunches, Create a Cupcake, Sweet Scoops (retired)
Card Stock: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Ink: Wisteria Wonder
Framed Tulips embossing folder
Delicate Designs edge embossing folder
Blossom Punch
Wisteria Wonder Designer Printed Brads

Thanks for looking and hope your Wednesday goes well!
