Refuge and Strength/Vintage Vogue
What an exciting set and so much you can do with it. I have enjoyed playing with it so far and will try to make a few more cards before I have to give it back to its owner. The inspiration from this card came from another demonstrator on Stampin' Connection. She is the featured artist this week and I cased her card. Thanks Mary Jo for the inspiration of this wonderful card.
Here I used So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink. for the colors of the card. I used three colors of ink, So saffron, Certainly Celery and Going Gray for the sentiment. Of course the stamp sets used were Refuge and Strength and Vintage Vogue. The small flowers are a retired stampin' Up! three flower punch and the large flower is made with the 5 petal punch. Underneath the flower I used the 1-3/4" punch. Thanks for Looking!

On Board Scallop Circle Books
I had been wanting to try these cute on board books from Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalog and this was my chance. You can get them in a heart and a bird also and they are a fairly large size. The scallop is 6" diameter. Anyway for this little book I used the scallop. My brother just turned 60 and has downs syndrome. So from what my Mom was told when he was born, he added another 30 years to his life and we are really thankful that God has given him such a long life. So we really celebrated his 60th birthday. He just loves pictures and so I decided I would make him a little keepsake of his birthday and decided to use this cute little book. I actually traced around the scallop circle onto the paper and then cut it out and adhered it to the board. I thought it turned out great and I know he will love. He loves everything and everyone. Most of what I used was from the Happy B-day Scrappin Kit from Stampin Up. Thanks so much for looking and this is only a few of the pages I did.

Refuge and Strength
I had been wanting to get this stamp set, but never have and one of my wonderful customers let me use hers this weekend. So, as you can see I have been playing with it. With this card I used the Kissing Technique on the cross. If you are unsure of the kissing technique, you take a light color of ink or a dark color, I used a light color here (pretty in pink), and ink the cross (in this case). Then you take another stamp and ink it up with either a dark color or light color, here I used going gray. Then you stamp directily onto the stamp (cross in this instance) with the gray stamped image covering the area you desire on the cross. Then you stamp the image on the paper. Splitcoast stampers has a great tutorial on this technique.
I actually used a couple of challenges to get the colors and the design you see. I used two challenges from Christian Paper Crafts, Bible Verse Thursday Challenge and the Case Artist Challenge on Saturday. I also used the clean and simple challenge from Stampin' Sisters In Christ Challenge and the colors came from our Clean and Simple challenge on the Stampin Connection where you were to use Pixie Pink, Pretty in Pink and Gray with a neutral color.
So this is the outcome of those four challenges. I hope you like it.
Stampin Up Items used:
Stamp Set: Refuge and Strength
Card Stock: Pixie Pink, Whisper White, basic Gray
Classic Ink: Pixie Pink, Pretty in Pink, Going Gray,
Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon
Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder

You're Too Kind
Punches are becoming a really hot item with me right now and also the die cuts. I guess because they make it easier. Not that I am still not into the coloring and images, I love to do that also. But, time has been a very limited thing with me lately and I have tried to improvise by going with a easier method. I am sure the coloring will be back. This is a sketch that I got from our Stampin' Connection site for demonstrators and I thought it turned out great for this card. Below is the sketch and it was done by one of our demonstrators, Diane Noble. Thanks Diane for such a wonderful sketch!
Hope you can see my card in the sketch. I just love doing sketches and putting my own design into the sketch. As you can see the sketch used circles and I used the 5 petal punch and the beautiful wings embosslits die along with the focal point being the 1-3/8" round punch and the round scallop punch.
The stamp set used was whimisical words which is part of the sale-a-bration catalog. You can get this stamp set free with a Stampin' Up! order of $50. And, the embossing folder I used was Perfect Polka Dots which is in the Mini Catalog.

Another Flower Pot Pocket Card
Here is another flower pot pocket card and with this one, instead of using the 5 petal punch, I used the round scallop punch. How cute is that? I also have not put a sentiment on this one yet, but may use "get well wishes" from Teeny Tiny Wishes again. Which it would be a great birthday card also. The leaves are still made from the 5 petal punch. I also used the razzleberry lemonade DSP. These cards will actually fit in a regular size A2 envelope, so there is no need to purchase anything differently. Of course I still had to add my trusty little bird which is made with the new 2-step punch from the current mini catalog. The mini is still in effect until April 30th, but time is passing quickly.
Other Stampin' Up! items used:
Square Ice Brads
Dusty Durango, crushed curry, rich razzleberry and Old olive card stock.
Scallop Edge Punch
Curshed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon

Happy St. Pactrick's Day
Well St. Pactrick's Day is tomorrow and I decided to make at least one card to celebrate. So this is it. Not sure who will receive it, who knows I may just keep it. But I actually did it for the Christian Paper Crafts challenge Fun on Friday which was to make a green card in honor of St. Pactrick's day. And, I also used the Tuesday Sketch for last tuesday for this one. I used a medium heart to make the clover leaf. The paper is from the 6 X 6 paper stack I which is retired. So It was great to use up some paper and get a cute card at the same time. Thanks for looking and Happy St. Pactrick's day!

Get Well Wishes/Flower Pot Pocket Card
This was so much fun to make and I found the instructions for this at splitcoast. I was looking for something to do at a workshop with an Easter Theme, but when I finished, I thought this would make a great "get well" card. It is so fresh and springy. It made me smile and that is when I knew it would cheer up someone who was feeling under the weather. Don't you think it makes a great "get well" card. See below for inside of pocket.
I actually got quite a bit done yesterday trying to figure out what to do at my next workshop. Of course you will see that after the workshop on Mar. 25th, so please come back and look for the outcome of my scrappin yesterday.

Scripture Challenge Word #5 Follow
Patter has a great devotion for the word "follow" on her site and she is the one who is leading this Scripture Challenge. This is the 5th word for year 2010 and I am having so much fun doing these and making a book for the year. It is always something I can go back and look at when things seem a little down.
Follow, what does that word mean to you. There is a lot of following going on today. You follow this person because you like what they do. You follow this candidate because you think they are the best. Kids follow other kids because they think it will make them popular. People even follow their pastors because they think the pastor is like God.
But there is only one God and when we follow Him, we will never have to walk in darkness again. I don't know about you, but I do not like darkness. I love the light and when we follow Jesus we will have the "light of life." Also, Jesus did not say it would be easy because we will have to deny the flesh and there are times that might hurt. But I do know one thing, joy comes in the morning and it makes it all worth while.
Stampin Up products used on this page were retired Pattern Pack I hostess gift, Whisper White Cardstock, Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, round scallop punch.

A Spring Happy Birthday
This is a card I made last night and actually was thrilled with the outcome. It was actually inspired by three different challenges at Christian Paper Crafts. Thier color challenge, Pink-Yellow-White, Fun on Friday challenge, use a flower, and case artist challenge. I love it when you can do three challenges with one card. I was a little scared of the yellow and pink, but after I started it seemed to work. I also used two techniques on this card. Paper Piercing and Faux Suede (the flower). I will show you a close up of the flower so you can see a little more of the suede look. Thanks for looking and see below for the items used.
Stampin' Up! Item list:

Sunny Days Scrappin Kit Baby Book
I put this scrapbook together in just a few nights by using mostly the Sunny Days Scrappin Kit. The girl I made it for was doing her nursery in flowers and birds and as soon as she told me this, I knew I would be able to use the Sunny Days Kit. My daughter had also did a scrapbook a while back using the Moments and Milestones Scrappin Kit and I used some of what was left of that. I used whisper white cardstock and a few extra pages of the Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Pink Passion. I also used a few stickers that my Daughter had purchased and not used to speed up the process since I only had a few nights to get it together. Beth really loved the book and I thought it turned out great. Following are the pages of the book in order of how they were placed in the book. Other items used, than mentioned above, are noted at the end. Thanks for looking!

Whisical Words/Sweet Pea
This week is going to be a very busy week for me, but I did want to post this card that I did on Sunday. It was from the Case Saturday challenge over at CPC. The artist to case was Marsha Fisher. Anyway, this is the card I came up with. I did this because it was so easy and I had already started my busy week. The only stamping of course was the saying in the center. The rest was just putting it together. I love those kind of cards, easy!

Blessings
I am not sure how I feel about this card. In one way, I love the brightness of it and then in another it is too busy as my husband says. This is the sketch from Stamping 411 blog and I love to do their sketches. I was trying for spring here and I think we are all ready for the spring weather especially here where it is usually spring most of the winter, but this year we actually got winter. Anyway, hope you like. More to come!
