I had been wanting to get this stamp set, but never have and one of my wonderful customers let me use hers this weekend. So, as you can see I have been playing with it. With this card I used the Kissing Technique on the cross. If you are unsure of the kissing technique, you take a light color of ink or a dark color, I used a light color here (pretty in pink), and ink the cross (in this case). Then you take another stamp and ink it up with either a dark color or light color, here I used going gray. Then you stamp directily onto the stamp (cross in this instance) with the gray stamped image covering the area you desire on the cross. Then you stamp the image on the paper. Splitcoast stampers has a great tutorial on this technique.
I actually used a couple of challenges to get the colors and the design you see. I used two challenges from Christian Paper Crafts, Bible Verse Thursday Challenge and the Case Artist Challenge on Saturday. I also used the clean and simple challenge from Stampin' Sisters In Christ Challenge and the colors came from our Clean and Simple challenge on the Stampin Connection where you were to use Pixie Pink, Pretty in Pink and Gray with a neutral color.
So this is the outcome of those four challenges. I hope you like it.
